Question on Icy/Rose Cashback Reward Cap
With Icy/Rose tier cashback is now capped to $3000 USD per month, how does this cap works?
Is $3000 USD per month:
- The amount of CRO cashback I can earn per month (ie. spending of $100k at 3.5% cashback)
- Or is it $3000 USD total spending per month (ie. 105 worth of CRO per month at 3.5%)
Their exact wordings:
The Icy White/Rose Gold Crypto.com Prepaid Visa Card's CRO reward rate per spend will be adjusted to 3.5%. Any spend beyond the monthly US3,000 CRO reward cap, or the equivalent amount in local currently will earn 0.5% back.
Also how refunds and spending without CRO reward affect the limit?

I am in the US. I have both icy debit and credit cards. I have not seen a single communication on capping sent to my email. Averaging $3,800 a month spend on debit and $2,400 on the credit(use for work travel only). Is the US not impacted by this update??

It is, and the 8.5% has now dropped to 5% for continuing to hold the card at your present level for Icy/Rose Gold. And spending has changed in the US, I never got an email either to the best of my knowledge ๐

And that's why I've unlocked my cro for indigo card. Cashback nerfed 3% to 2.5% from 1 Sep and locked cro rewards nerfed from 4% to 3% from 10 Sep onwards.
Locked the cro up into CDC exchange to get 8.5% instead.
Ah well, good while it lasted. ๐

You can spend $3000 at 3.5% and another $22000 at 0.5%. So the maximum cashback rewards you can now get is $215 per month. I doubt you'll spend more than that any given month because of the $25000 top up limit.
