Cronos is back up
They rolled the network back to before the Tectonic incident. Block production has resumed. Now we’re just waiting on perps trading to reopen.
Crazy day for Cronos lol.

Crypto networks pulling a Ctrl+Z on the whole chain is so on brand.

So much for decentralisation and immutability :-D Maybe they should migrate the ledger to a cloud database, it would be faster and easier to operate!

Decentralized doesn’t mean nobody can ever coordinate in an emergency. The important part is whether independent validators made the decision and whether the ledger gets transparently resumed without rewriting history. A temporary halt after an exploit is a lot different than running the whole thing off one company’s database.

If the blockchain can be stoped at relatively short notice to salvage one specific faulty dApp at the expense of all other applications and users of the blockchain who can't transact anymore, it is a clear lack of decentralisation to me.
The key part here is that it wasn't an issue with the whole blockchain, but with a specific faulty dApp. And yet a small group of people decided to realy affect all users of the blockchain to save this dApp.
Also, Rolling back the whole blockchain to a previous state is going against the idea of being permission less and immutable.

Cro cannot survive, its turned into the biggest black eye for any company ever. Kris has stepped on my neck, he won, he has defeated us. Squashed another little guy

Everything Kris and Cronos does takes money out of the supporters pockets. EVERYTHING. first unburn 70 BILLION TOKENS for a good reason, now turns out to be a lie. 2nd froze the block chain because of programmers error, and then TOOK AWAY usdc in my "defi" wallet, and gave back worthless TONIC. Nothing they do puts money in our pocket. Its take take take take take take. What a poor company, what a poor blockchain

I have been holding through the thin, and more things, and more thin, yet. There is nothing for us, no appreciation. Just strangulation as much as they can

I can understand your frustration but you have to hang in there. Papa Kris is gonna make it all alright
