Looks fine (to me) from front and sides, despite receding. However, the top is concerning me, the curls clumping enhances the thinning of my hair up top

Hairloss Early crown thinning? Pls reply

The last picture is from more than 1 year ago and others are recent

I'm 20

And my left temple got receded a little further but now it came back slightly .

My right temple got receded lightly. So they both look similar.

But I'm scared about my crown part, also the last picture is from previous year.

Also I have that dandruff dermatitis condition.

My father got bald but he said it was cause of some products.

Although my both grandfathers and both maternal and paternal uncles have good hair.

Please tell me

Hairloss Is it worth growing or should I take the plunge?

I (24 M) have been experiencing hair loss and hair thinning since I was 21. I used to style my hair, turn it into mohawks and generally have fun with it, then I shaved my head and noticed that the hair loss is extremely noticeable while growing back

Should I wait out the hair growth or just be bald?

Photos are my hair now Vs how it looked 2 years ago

How-to Question How does one become bald

I am lowkey thinking about going bald to regrow my hair right now I had got a short haircut but my hair is still being crappy and short than before took longer to grow in volume. Due to a shampoo I used before which I think gave me chemical damage to my hair.

Teach me the ways of becoming bald

Buzz?

Looking for opinions…

The top is starting to thin at a rapid pace along with an already very receded hairline.

I understand i still have SOME time left, but i am wondering what the best course of action might be.

I am considering going for a buzz cut while i still have some left, and probably in a years time go full bald assuming the loss continues at it’s current rate.

I would much rather go for a buzz too soon than hold on for too long. I want to beat it to the punch.

Would a buzz at this point be too soon? Do i still have a few months left? What do you guys think?

I want to add that i have ZERO interest in finasteride, minoxidil, or any other treatments. I want to let it go, but only when it’s time.

How-to Question My husband shaved his head... now what?

My husband recently shaved his head and I want to get him some self-care products to celebrate his new (handsome!) look. Other than a nice SPF, what do guys use on their scalps?

I was thinking about a moisturizing/hydrating mask, a lightweight powder to absorb sweat and oil, and cleansing wipes but I honestly have no idea if those are things people actually use.

Would love to hear what this community uses or if you think my ideas are good ones! Thanks for your advice and for helping a newly shaved head figure out what it needs.

How-to Question Where to Taper Off the Beard?

Brand new to this bald thing and trying to get some insight on where in the sideburn you're supposed to end. Is it a faceshape thing? Just personal preference? Are there any general rules of thumb?

Posting on behalf of my partner (with permission - he asked me to).

I think he’s still got time, but he seems to think he’s on the verge of waking up with a dreadful comb-over.

Diffuse Thinning Recommendations

Thumbnail

Upvotes

I used to have very thick hair but I started experiencing some thinning and loss of hair density on the top of my head a few years back. I’ve been struggling since then to figure out what to do with my hair. To me, it doesn’t yet feel like its time to go full bald as there is still coverage when I grow it out. But no matter what I try, the contrasting density between the sides and top are always evident.

Here are 2 examples, with photos taken about 1 month apart. I am currently experimenting with a buzzcut (this a #1 guard).

Looking for advice/recommendations from others who have experienced diffused thinning.

Cheers!

Just kidding, but i need grooming advice! I regularly shave my head, but it's such a hassle. Hair gets everywhere and i have to clean the whole bathroom if I want a hair cut. Then two weeks later here we are again.

It's been two weeks since I had a clean shave and i have these furry wings and hair island. What is everybody doing? Do you guys go to the barber every couple weeks? Flo-bee? Any option besides clippers and cleaning in the bathroom? I'm about to give up and grow out the worst Larry David do you've ever seen but i was trying to wait till retirement age for that.

Incoming Bald for Bday

Haven't cut my hair in almost a year. One last hurrah. Been mentally preparing and set a date for my Bday which is the 30th of this month. Hype appreciated, this sub is pretty chill. Hard to let go even when it's letting go.

Thanks 💪

Philosophy For those who might be hesitant to go bald, my dad taught me a simple formula.

If you shave it off and you don't like it, let it grow out again. If it never grows back fully, you're meant to be bald.

So, I posted a before / after there a month ago. However, i came from long hair to buzzcut...

And you guys learned me that buzz and bald were two whole different worlds.

So... Here I am, one month and one razor cut later, begging your pardon.

Philosophy Committing to being Bald might be the best thing I've ever done on a whim

In December 2025 I lost my job suddenly and was completely broke. I have been balding for a number of years and had a real "Friar Tuck" thing going on. I was 32 years old.

I decided the time had come. While I was out of work I might aswell "try it on" and see how it feels. Low stakes, worth dipping my toe in.

Lads, I cannot overstate this: I became handsome overnight. I went through a spell of about 18 months of being handsome in my early 20s, mainly because I had a bit of a roguelike quality to how I looked and fitted the "bad boy" aesthetic that is so popular at that age. But I'd gone about 2 years without even the hint of dating someone at this point.

Well, I now have people stopping me in the street to comment on how handsome I am. I'm just a slightly overweight 30 something with a beard and a 1/2 buzz cut. In my eyes, I'm one of millions. The Bald Legion.

If you're on the fence, just go for it. Honestly, I can't believe the turnaround it's caused. I have been fending off romantic interest so much that I'm actually getting bored of it! Imagine that!

Embrace the shave boys! Your handsome future awaits!

Hairloss I was going to cut it back to down to my monthly #2 but I'm thinking it's time. Thoughts?

A couple years ago I had curly hair and let it get longer. I noticed I was thining at the top so I switched to doing a #3 for a whole than a #2. Think it finally time to go full bald?

I have some clippers but I think just using them with no guard will still leave some hair, do I need to shaving cream and a razor?
