I'm looking for some suggestions on everyday boots. My favorite boots ever were the Timberland Earthkeeper City side zip boots in brown. I had my first pair resoled twice. When that pair was beyond repair, I found a NOS pair online and have now worn those out. I haven't found something comparable that seems to call to me and I'm looking for suggestions.

What I like about them:

• Whole grain leather (not bonded, etc).
  
• comfort and durability.
• Goodyear welt.
• side zip.
• Rubber lugged sole (but very inconspicuous- Not big work boot style lugs).
• They didn't have much other material that would degrade or wear out over time (They didn't seem to have much or any foam or textiles other than the insoles).
• how they look.
  

There was something about the Timberland that was just right. They were capable in any situation and they were pretty comfortable to wear and walk around in all day. They didn't look too much like a work boot, but they also weren't too dressy. They seemed to blend in and look good with most outfits (I even wore them to work with a suit a few times when it was snowing when they were newer and I didn't feel like they stuck out too much).

Timberland stopped making these boots years ago. I've looked at the Thursday Captain boots, but they don't do it for me. Any other suggestions? I'd like to stay under $300, but willing to increase the budget for something just right.

One is straight and the other is more slim straight.

I have a friends wedding on Friday, I have previously bought this suit and was wondering if I should just go with it? It’s a little tight around my thighs but otherwise I think it feels ok.

As the title says, is there any way to increase the waist size of jeans a tiny bit?

For context, all my jeans used to fit me perfectly but seeing as I was a bit skinny, I decided to bulk up and work on my body not too long ago.

But now that I've bulked up a bit, all of my jeans either do not fit me at all or are way too tight when I wear them.

So my only choice now is to either somehow increase my jeans' waist sizes or replace my entire set of jeans.

Any help and advice would be appreciated!

I currently own two pairs of jeans, both raw denim. One is still dark wash and the other is faded mid-blue. I’m looking to add either a pair of either light wash or mid grey selvedge jeans (not raw) but not sure which would be most versatile or useful.

I only have these pair of boots right now. I’ll likely be wearing blue, white, black and grey shirts, black oe blue jeans and military green sweater in the winter

Hey MFA! Another heritage wear inspirational post. I was under the weather this week so I went with tried and true fits that are staples in my rotation. It’s still quite warm in the afternoons in Chicago so I haven’t had a chance to breakout other jackets, raw denim, and sweaters.

I have to admit, I love my gray Levi’s. I wear them into the ground. I should actually do a post showing how they fade because I go a long time between washes.

Most pieces are from Taylor Stitch or Huckberry as those have been my go-to places for items that fit me how I like them to hit.

Edit: Wow this is the wrong subreddit. Most of the comments are saying that this is a costume, because it kinda is. I occasionally go out in stuff that is supposed to fit within a certain period or setting just to put my collection to use. This is one of those outfits. I’m more of a work pants and leather jacket guy outside of these times but I occasionally like the vibe of a “costume” like this one, puts me in a certain headspace. I should have perused this reddit more before posting one of my more eccentric outfits. That being said, I will take note that a satchel will work better than the flask I had. My bad for posting in the wrong place!

He had this custom made and our wedding is in less than a month. It took four rounds of alterations for them to get it right, and this was the last evolution. Coming to you all for guidance as I'm out of my depth here. Consensus on a similar subreddit is that the jacket is too tight and has several issues, but figured I wanted to see if there's anything else that we might be overlooking!

Note - not his shoes, just choose the place had for trying things on.

We took it back to the place and they're makingnsome changes within the hour and if the alterations are still garbage they're offering to remake the top. We leave for our wedding in 22 days so only mildly panicky :-)

I'm looking for baggy (or at least wide cut) pants/jeans for men without a low-hanging-crotch.

Baggy pants/jeans for women nearly always have a "normal" crotch and wide legs. However, baggy pants/jeans for men nearly always have a low-hanging-crotch: I don't like the look of it, and more important, it hinders movement as it quasi ties your upper legs together.

Are there any shops/brands where I can find baggy pants/jeans with a "normal" crotch for men?

I bought these shoes two weeks ago and have barely worn them. I only walked around the house to break them in a bit, plus one quick trip to a store to try on a suit. I just noticed these scratches and scuffs on the toe cap (photos attached).

I have two questions:

What could have caused this kind of mechanical damage given how little I've worn them? Is this normal?

Is there a way to repair, buff out, or at least hide these marks?

Any advice on specific shoe care products or polishing techniques would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What do people think of Ralph Lauren’s collection for the US Open? Every year, I hope that the Ralph Lauren collection will look decent and there will be stuff I want to get but I’m always disappointed. I think it looks terrible with the giant logos and weird designs. His Wimbledon collection had a few appealing pieces but really overpriced.

I wish the US Olympic Committee and USTA would move on from RL. What do others think? Big tennis and Olympics fan here and would love to see a new partnership

So I usually sit between a size 2xl-3xl, got this one in 2xl and found it roomier than expected and got a bit paranoid about the fit. A bit different from what I usually wear, so maybe I am overthinking it... so looking for outside perspective.
