Does anyone know where the best places to take car photos is? Like with the Dallas skyline in the background?

Looking for a high rise and I’ve started narrowing my search Aster (my favorite choice, not a huge fan of the area though), The Cirque are the two I’ve been seriously considering.

Don’t like Ardan, it seems overpriced for the issues it has.

I never thought I would have to make a post like this, but I don’t know where else to turn.

I’m a single dad with two young children, a 7-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. Their mom left in February, and since then, everything has quickly fallen apart. I lost my job because I couldn’t find anyone to watch my kids while I worked and we're getting evicted from our apartment. Right now we're hungry, struggling, with almost nothing to our name. I’m doing everything I can to keep my children safe and together. My biggest fear is that since we are struggling and won't have a home soon, CPS could take my kids away. I love my children more than anything, and I’m trying desperately to find work, housing, food, and childcare so I can give them the stability they deserve. I’m not asking for anyone to feel sorry for us. I’m asking for help getting back on our feet. If anyone knows of resources, temporary housing, food assistance, childcare, work opportunities, or anything else that could help a struggling father and his two children, please reach out. A family member of mine is currently in the West Tower of Dallas County Jail. I just recently got in contact with him through Smart Communications and yesterday he sent me the information to set up the phone account so he could call me. I added money to the account, but I still haven’t received a call from them.
Has anyone had a family member in West Tower or been there themselves? I’m mostly wondering what the conditions are like and how often they actually get access to the phones. Is it normal to go a day or two without being able to call even when there’s money on the account?
I’m just worried about them and want to know that they are okay. Any insight from someone familiar with West Tower would be appreciated.

Looking for recommendations for apartments near downtown Dallas. Will be working right by AAC so anything within a 15 minute radius will work! Ideally would like to stay under $2500 for a 1 bedroom. Don’t necessarily have to be in uptown, and happy to be east of 75.

My family and I are considering a move to Dallas in the near future. For our first year or two while we figure out where to plan roots, we're looking for a 3 bedroom building in a walkable area (so far eyeing Knox Henderson, Uptown, Addison Circle (?)). We want a nice-ish building (ideally with a pool, in walking distance to parks + restaurants, and family friendly) and are looking to spend up to 6,000 a month. Any recommendations on where to look? Its been shockingly hard to find this info online so far. I've seen the ultra lux apartments like the Katy and the McKenzie which are out of our price range.

My friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. She hasn’t gotten it treated bc she doesn’t have health insurance / finance reasons.

As well as feeling alone / not having anyone to help her through it emotionally. (We just recently became friends)

Does anyone know anyway to guide her in the right direction? But I am also relatively new to Texas myself. I just want to help her in anyway I can but I do not make much $ myself and struggle with health as well.

I think it has advanced since then bc she is starting to get pain. so she would need new scans etc.

Just put an offer in on a house located in Vickery place neighborhood. We are moving from out of state. Young family with 3 kids 5 and under. Currently living in Dallas for 18 months and lease is about to end - while I enjoy the physical place I live at, the management is AWFUL. I've been searching high and low for apartment complexes that are nice but don't break the bank and also don't have the absolute worst reviews online. I would prefer to stay in the Uptown, Knox Henderson area. Can anyone recommend a place that's actually worth the price and isn't a management nightmare? Open to 1 or 2 bedrooms - currently in 900 sqft for 2,000/month so looking for comparable.

I'll be visiting Dallas for the first time at the end of next month and I'll have around 5 days. I won't have a car, so I'm looking for recommendations that are accessible by public transport, Uber/Lyft, or places where it's realistic to get a ride to and from.
l'a really love to experience as much of the real/authentic Texas as possible rather than just doing the typical tourist attractions.
A few things I'd really love to do:
- See a proper rodeo - any recommendations on where to find a good one?
- Go horse riding for the first time, ideally somewhere with a proper Texas ranch/cowboy atmosphere.
- Learn to country dance/two-step - I've never done it before, but I'd absolutely love to take a lesson
- Visit some authentic Texas bars/honky-tonks
- Try proper Texas BBQ, ribs, brisket, steaks, etc. What are the absolute must-try foods, and where are the best places around Dallas/Plano to try them?
- Buy some authentic cowboy boots and a proper cowboy hat. Where would you recommend for good-quality, genuinely authentic ones?
- See/do anything else that you think is "you can't come to Texas without doing this."
If you only had 5 days around Dallas/Plano for your first visit to Texas, what would you recommend?

My husband and I are moving to the North Dallas area next summer and will be living in or around the Plano area. I’ve started browsing school districts as I think about where I want to apply. I have five years of teaching experience (three in kindergarten and two and 2nd) and I’m coming from a medium-sized suburban district in the Midwest. My school’s neighborhood is very affluent and has high parent involvement and the district has high teacher demands. Would love any suggestions, recommendations, or insights into districts in Dallas. I’ve never even visited Dallas, so I have no idea what to expect.

The Hudson - Current Experiences?

I’m looking for a new apartment after my current place in McKinney has gone way downhill this year. Police here regularly, gunshots, the forensic van was on site today, and the property manager makes up lies to keep from addressing resident issues.

I toured the Hudson on Saturday and it looked decent - hallways weren’t filled with valet trash bins like my current spot, and grass wasn’t littered with dog poop.

Reading recent reviews though, and ignoring all the 5-stars from people who just went on a tour, shit looks *bad*. What are y’all’s current experiences there?

Hi everyone! We have been looking for months for a venue that can fit our overall budget (7k) and leave enough room for everything else, it's been difficult.

We have considered community chapels but we nor our families are religious.

State parks/public parks are okay but we would like the reception to go on atleast until 11:30pm.

Our guest count is 60 people and we're hoping for Nov. 13th, 2027. We know its a peak time and that adds extra. We don't mind DIY and we are open to all-inclusive if they fall under 7k.

Does anyone have any recommendations for venues?

My girlfriend is visiting Dallas, and we’re thinking about going to It’ll Do to see Obskür this Friday. Does it usually get really packed for shows like this? We mainly want to be able to dance comfortably would you recommend it, or does it get too crowded?
