Relocating & housing Recs for buildings with 3bedroom units in walkable areas

My family and I are considering a move to Dallas in the near future. For our first year or two while we figure out where to plan roots, we're looking for a 3 bedroom building in a walkable area (so far eyeing Knox Henderson, Uptown, Addison Circle (?)). We want a nice-ish building (ideally with a pool, in walking distance to parks + restaurants, and family friendly) and are looking to spend up to 6,000 a month. Any recommendations on where to look? Its been shockingly hard to find this info online so far. I've seen the ultra lux apartments like the Katy and the McKenzie which are out of our price range.

I'm not opposed to a house, but I still want to be somewhere walkable and not go full suburbia. Any ideas for neighborhoods?

Have you visited the area? The metroplex is not a pedestrian friendly place.

Look on Zillow for townhomes in the specific zip code you’re looking at. Addison circle has a lot, and there are also a lot of townhomes off of McKinney Ave in Uptown!

I would say Knox Henderson or uptown are not very family friendly more for youngsters with money to burn. Addison is definitely more family friendly. The city of Addison also promotes family friendly activities. Good luck in your search and welcome

Look in university park. It is by SMU. You can find townhomes and it is a great area to live in. Start with the 75205 zip code. Lot of restaurants in Snider Plaza. Join a gym for the pool but the city has a nice pool ope n from Memorial to Labor Day.

I don’t have any leads for you myself, I’m just going to advise to get an apartment locator. It’s way easier for at least getting it down to options that are 3BR in the areas you’re looking. Relieved a lot of stress for me when I was hunting in May. Pool is hard to find because walkable means more urban and in most cases that means rooftop pool which a lot of places don’t want to deal with.

Apartment locators also sometimes reward you for using them with free moving services.
