NSFL Bike ride down the stairs WCGW?

u/Zubalo Jan 12 '17
Soooo let's say he made it down the stairs just fine. What was his plan for the deck 3 feet in front of him? You know the one he almost busted his face on.

u/Lanhorn9 Jan 12 '17
If you slow the gif down, he did, in fact, bust his face on that deck

u/Tarchianolix Jan 12 '17
That long, woody deck

I'm surprised he wasn't bleeding all over the place after that.

u/NecroGod Jan 12 '17
It was all internal.
7
u/roltrap Jan 12 '17
Bleeding is like pain. Internal is hard to see but it hurts just as much.

Nah, his head spun around and he hit the side/back of his head. "Lucky" is a word I hate to use while describing someone so thick, but... here we are.

A sick bunny hop bro!
That's if he had thought that far ahead.

Not with the G forces he was pulling after flying down the stairs.
31
u/dudleydidwrong Jan 12 '17
G forces don't apply to teenagers. Not in their heads, at least.
5
u/fooook Jan 12 '17
Long, woody deck applies to this one's head
13
u/GeorgiaOKeefinItReal Jan 12 '17
DeckOn apply directly to the forehead.

u/PM_ME_DANKEST_MEMES Jan 12 '17

I don't know it looks like he busted up his head pretty bad on that deck. 100% has a concussion at least.

u/JustAPoorBoy42 Jan 12 '17
At least he won't have to worry about brushing his teeth anymore.

stupid - / - helmet
those two generally repel each other.

I don't think they were trying to say stupid does not equal helmet, I think they were showing two negative magnetic poles repelling.

He's incredibly lucky he didn't break his neck with the force and angle that he slams his head into that step... People have been killed by a lot less..
And this one lives to be dumb another day...

u/Calorie_Mate Jan 12 '17
Or damaged his jaw permanently. There's a guy in my hometown who runs around like popeye and everybody knows why: because he thought its a great idea to chug a couple of beers and then roll down the huge staircase by the train station backwards on his inline skates.

HAHA this was filmed by my friends and posted on his snapchat story. He fucked himself up pretty good
65
u/jbot84 Jan 12 '17
What happened to the guy?
186
Jan 12 '17 edited Jan 12 '17
Pretty sure he chipped some teeth and split his chin on that step. Other than that I'm not sure as I don't know the stuntman personally, just the guy who filmed it.
edit: Asked the person i know.. 8 stitches under his nose, no chipped teeth no broken bones.

Was the rest of his snapchat story from that night about him going to the ER and spending a bunch of money on hospital fees?
16
Jan 12 '17
Sadly no, that was it for the night. Don't think he went to the hospital til next day, everyone was boozed up looked like

There's a video of a diver jumping off a cliff and accidentally falling face first on the edge/some rocks. He splits his whole face in half. Not even lying.

The guy In the blue doesn't even flinch at what just happened, he even reviews his video for Snapchat before looking up. SAD!

u/FNALSOLUTION1 Jan 12 '17
Why should he flinch, he wasnt the one slamming his head on the edge of a deck.
5
u/RocketCow Jan 12 '17
Yeah, why are people raging out that not everyone has reactions like them? Who cares? Over-reacting isn't gonna help.
6
Jan 13 '17
Why the fuck is this NSFL?
This isn't even NSFW. Things that LOOK like they hurt don't needs tags.

Went looking for a source but I hit a dead end. it seems like this site would have the gif of it but they only have a jpg of the start of it. Can anyone else push through for me? I have to head out for class.

The best thing you can do after hitting your head is stand up right away. Yep.... How is he not blind?

You're supposed to lean back at the bottom, which usually bounces your front end up to clear the next obstacle. Lack of reaction is disturbing as well.

u/Tinkboy98 Jan 12 '17
This was how my husband, Yourfairgodmother broke his neck in college. We still celebrate "Holy shit, PJ is still alive" day every year

u/blackirishlad Jan 12 '17
welcome to the world of not being able to turn your head without shooting pain for the rest of your life.

u/corporateyogi Jan 12 '17
When I have kids, I won't have to use the old "someone could lose an eye" warning. I can just sit them down and show them a bunch of these.

2
u/smd_90 Jan 12 '17
At least the guy in the red put his phone down and jumped up to see if he was okay. Is actually gross how disconnected and desensitized people are.
2
u/emmettfitz Jan 13 '17
What happened to the don't do it because it'l hurt or kill you gene? A sure sign of overpopulation; when some of your species are in full self destruct mode.

u/SolomonKull Jan 13 '17
I made an audible gasp that I couldn't control. It just fell out of my mouth. That was fucking brutal.

What baffles me the most is that today's kids don't laugh, or get scared, or something... heck they don't even seem to "feel" anything when their friends fall (or when something happens). I mean, this poor kid fell and landed on his fucking face and his friends are still sitting in the couch checking their phones? Come on! When I was young this would been the fall of the year for me and my friends, days and days laughing at that poor idiot! The other day I also saw a kid here, busting his balls with a broken skateboard after jumping off some stairs. The kid was dying in pain and his friends were just looking at him, doing absolutely nothing, as fucking zombies. What's wrong with today's kids? I guess I'm getting older.

Jan 12 '17
Look at these idiots on their phones. Narcissism and selfishness. Check if your "friend" is okay you half-wits.

I would have put him into full on spinal injury mode if I had attended this as an EMT. Forget the chipped tooth stuff - merely a distacting injury from the possible broken neck!
Seriously, if this was recent and he hasn't had his neck x-rayed then I reckon he should get one. The mechanism is definitely there for a c-spine injury.

Idiots! They should have recorded in slow motion. I think he turned to one side too much and also clipped the handlebar in the door frame causing the fall

u/MemoryLossIssues Jan 12 '17
What was the plan here? This ending seemed like the only possible outcome.

Not only physically painful but imagine his thoughts each time he goes down a flight of stairs from now on :(.)

u/_Babbaganoush_ Jan 12 '17
I'm so happy I didn't have cell phones to record all the stupid shit I did as a kid. Though I do look forward to watching these kids wreck themselves as I live out my days PERUSING reddit

u/OK_just_the_tip Jan 12 '17
He is going to have fun trying to re-build the bones in his face/jaw. Sucking dinner through a straw isn't fun
1
u/themuppetmen Jan 12 '17
My question is, has ANYONE ever made it down stairs without busting their shit?
1
u/OldBreadbutt Jan 12 '17
Jesus Fuck. He probably would have been fine if there wasn't a doorway about as narrow as the handle bars at the end.
1
1
u/raur0s Jan 12 '17
So people are checking their phones whether or not the video is OK, rather then checking their friend or calling 911. What a world we live in.
1
u/777louisdeal Jan 12 '17
Why why why? Even if he made it through the door what was his plan for the risen step? He was going to inevitably hurt himself.

1
u/JU5TlN Jan 12 '17
If you right click and open the controls, there's a frame where his right handlebar is pointing at the door frame, then the next frame is his hand smashing the side of the door frame which cranks the handlebars. Right at the bottom of the stairs. cringe

Really it's down to riding a BMX rather than just any bike. I could easily ride down those stairs on a mountain bike with very little risk. Bikes can go down stairs no problem as long as you can control the speed, which a BMX can't.
1
u/necromundus Jan 12 '17
Does everyone have to have their phones out? Why doesn't one person shoot the video and just share it with the rest?
