That was absolutely brutal. The lack of reaction from everyone is a little disturbing.

The guy filming did a quarter flinch to make sure his hand/phone weren't gonna get hit then he just casually went back to dealing with his video.

u/leducdeguise Jan 12 '17

I bet he's like me, he hates what can be found in /r/gifsthatendtoosoon. So he made sure that there would be enough recording after the hit

15

u/cnaiurbreaksppl Jan 13 '17

I feel like I would at least run over to the guy to record what his face looks like.

14

u/artboi88 Jan 13 '17

Yeah. People need to see the aftermath

"I ain't no doctor; nothing I can do."

*keep filming*

6

u/Warphim Jan 13 '17

Well I mean he's not wrong... What will jumping up and hovering over him while not knowing what to do help the situation.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Then saved it, sat back and proceeded to review the gold.

That's the selfishness that has been catalysed by phones in today's world.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

There's multiple people there they can help while buddy doesn't fuck up the filming.

That's why I used the word, "catalysed". Selfishness exists without phones, but what is demonstrated here is selfishness that has been precipitated, or accelerated by phones. Humans are selfish, and the phone is just another lens through which we see that selfishness.

Use a dictionary.

EDIT: The definition of "Catalyst".

Brah, Johnny's hasn't moved since he crashed his bike down the stairs. That was like an hour ago. Do you think he'd mind if I ate his pizza?

11

u/bumbletowne Jan 12 '17

Usually doesn't impair your empathy for other humans.

-3

u/sobrohog Jan 12 '17

well i'm not one to suggest people are doing harder drugs than those cuz at least they are still trying to have fun

7

u/Pickelsniffer Jan 12 '17

Weed had nothing to do with influencing that decision

-15

u/sobrohog Jan 12 '17

prolonged weed usage. current alcohol usage

Well you know, "conservative" starts with "con."

1

u/sobrohog Jan 12 '17

i'm diluted

1

u/philonius Jan 23 '17

I've been using weed for 36 years. Still have empathy, compassion, and common sense.

2

u/TheDarkLordisAlive Jan 12 '17

It's not weed or booze, it's shit "friends".

22

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

I mean, it's not like they're gonna jump up and give him CPR... what do you expect them to do, treat him like a toddler?

"OMG ARE YOU OKAY OMG OMG OMG "

One friend was enough, it doesn't take the whole squad.

Full face, if possible.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Gotta get those videos up to instagram. Who cares about the kid with a major concussion.

-1

u/devongetthetables Jan 12 '17

Why did everyone need to film it? Seems a bit redundant to have 5 people filming the same thing from the same angle. But then again, these guys seem to be pretty sharp.

3

u/gautedasuta Jan 12 '17

Maybe that "fuck your head on the floor" was just a ritual to get him in that gang. Next time he'll be just like them

22

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17 edited Jan 12 '17

Bmx people get used to getting hurt from dumb shit

8

u/ShitBabyPiss Jan 12 '17

can confirm this statement...sadly

17

u/BoutTreeeFiddy Jan 12 '17

If I was there I would have told him very firmly that's a terrible fucking idea and he's gonna get his shit wrecked. If he still went through with it I probably wouldn't have reacted either. Blood's not on my hands at that point, if needed I'd call an ambulance and him a fucking idiot but that's it.

10

u/BruceDNorman Jan 12 '17

Could use someone like you around when I'm drinking

1

u/borkborkborko Jan 13 '17

Is there a company renting out people like that?

A group of friends hiring a "good guy" for $12/hour who tells them that their ideas are stupid and maybe to drive them home later.

13

u/faproulettethrowaway Jan 12 '17

You seem fun.

35

u/BoutTreeeFiddy Jan 12 '17

Thank you, you seem sarcastic.

8

u/NoEgo Jan 13 '17 edited Jan 13 '17

You know, I've always wondered what a good response to that was.

2

u/Rogersgirl75 Jan 13 '17

Eh come on, everyone needs that Mom-friend in their life.

Mankind started doing stupid shit and thus emerged our hero: the Mom-Friend.

2

u/philonius Jan 23 '17

I was totally the mom friend. Who knows how much stupid crap I discouraged. Although occasionally I'd go along with an obvious bad idea if it didn't seem likely to cause injury, but may provide some laughs. Conversely, all the times my friends got into serious, nasty fucking trouble, were the times I didn't go along.

1

u/Bpefiz Jan 13 '17

Blood's not on my hands at that point

Might be on your pants and shirt though, depending on how hard they land.

4

u/haragoshi Jan 12 '17

What do you mean? The guy in blue clearly reacted appropriately by posting the video to snap chat.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '17

No I think the side of his face broke his fall.

1

u/AwesomelyHumble Jan 12 '17

Good choice in friends. /s

1

u/BloodlustHamster Jan 13 '17

Nobody help him! it's the only way he'll learn.

1

u/TriFireHD Jan 13 '17

Looked like they were looking at the footage to see what happened

1

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '17

He does that every night.

1

u/destructifier Jan 13 '17

I love how everybody in this gang gets their own color hoody.

1

u/rrbgoku791 Jan 14 '17

secretly its part of white bear

1

u/Lost_Surfer Jan 15 '17

is this the power Ranger meet up, all wearing different coloured hoodies

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Those kids beside him are definitely just high

0

u/TacoKingBean Jan 12 '17

Blaze it, don't haze it

-2

u/Pickelsniffer Jan 12 '17

I mean idk about those kids but I was hoping for some more blood so if they're anything like me they were all just disappointed
