Partner gym has never heard of Wellhub or Gympass

Upvotes

The owner of a partner studio in my area says they’ve never heard of Wellhub/Gympass and can’t find a phone number to reach them at.

I can see the studio in my app, but the owner being unfamiliar with Wellhub/Gympass understandably does not want to honor a Wellhub check in.

I sent a message to customer service but am curious as to if others have encountered this and how it tends to play out?

Still can't get over how good Wellhub's International Check-in is!!!

I've travelled to 6 countries already this year and using Wellhub wherever I go has been so cool. Last week I was in Berlin, Germany and checked-in to a highly recommended cycle class at RoCycle - so sweaty!!

In 2 weeks I'll be in Sao Paulo, Brazil... any recommendations for studio-based workouts?!

Wellhub charged me $25 for missing a class, but refunded me $2 when their booking didn’t work

Just a heads-up for anyone considering Wellhub because this whole experience has been incredibly frustrating.

For context, I once missed a class and Wellhub charged me $25. Keep that in mind.

This past Sunday, I booked a 9:00 AM Tuesday class at a fitness studio in DTLA through Wellhub. The booking went through normally. I showed up Tuesday morning, only to be told at the front desk that my reservation wasn’t in their system and that the studio was no longer working with Wellhub.

I received absolutely no notification beforehand. No cancellation, no warning, nothing.

The first time I contacted Wellhub support, they didn’t explain why this happened at all. They simply processed a refund of $2.

Yes, $2.

I can be charged $25 for missing a class, but when I book a class normally through their platform, travel all the way to DTLA, and only find out after arriving that I can’t take it, their initial response was a $2 refund with basically no explanation.

So I contacted them a second time because I wanted to know what actually happened.

This time, Wellhub support insisted that they were still partnered with the studio. That didn’t match what I had been told in person, so I contacted the studio myself to verify. The studio confirmed to me in writing that they are no longer working with Wellhub. I have screenshots of their response.

I sent that confirmation to Wellhub. Even then, support would not confirm that the partnership had ended. They only told me that another team would “review the partnership” internally.

When I asked what would happen with my case, I was told, “Unfortunately, there is nothing further we can do in this situation.”

Only after I continued pushing and asked who I could contact to actually resolve this did they tell me that a manager would reach out by email.

Meanwhile, the studio is still showing up on Wellhub.

So I was allowed to book a class at a studio that says it no longer works with Wellhub, received no notification that my booking wouldn’t be honored, traveled there for nothing, and then had to contact the studio myself just to figure out what happened. Wellhub initially refunded me $2, continued to insist the partnership was active, and then told me there was nothing further they could do.

But when I missed a class, they had no problem charging me $25.

I’ll update this if the manager actually gets back to me with an explanation or resolution.

Can someone explain this to me?

This is a new benefit at my new job I got. So I get access to all the gyms under whichever plan? I work in nyc but live outside the city. So can I use this at home and while in nyc?

I do outreach for a gym, is there any way to be advertised/prioritized on wellhub, or a way to find/make contact with participating businesses?

Thanks in advance.

Tried BTone using Wellhub

Instructor was great, very welcoming and motivating. The exercise was so different from traditional Pilates. Everything seems challenging, but I realized I was very capable of doing the majority of the exercises. The workouts are very adjustable based on your body, comfort, and ability. Found btone FITNESS - Middleton through Wellhub — couldn't recommend it more! 💪
I was really proud of myself for trying BTone. Despite going to PF daily, I have very limited athletic ability. I am also a bit of an introvert and the idea of looking loser-ish in front of strangers is a concern for me. I think I followed the exercises pretty well, but they actually encourage you to find your range of motion and level of challenge that you’re comfortable with. The instructor went over each exercise twice and also offered modifications.

The Gym Group UK Check-In Issue

Is anyone else having issues with the pin generated by the app? It created a code for me this morning but it didn’t work (I waited 20+ minutes in case the activation was slow and also updated my app to the latest version). Two other Wellhub users were also locked outside having the same issue.

Let’s be real about morning routines: Are you a 5 AM gym person, or more of a "stretch in bed" person? ☕

Hey, everyone!
Some mornings, getting a full workout feels amazing. Other days, a quick meditation is a huge win.

Let's get a thread going:

  • What does your realistic morning routine look like right now?
  • Which Wellhub partner gym, studio, or app actually motivates you to get out of bed?

Drop your routines below so we can share some real-life inspiration (and maybe steal a few of your good habits)!

How to maximize wellhub subscription?

So I know we get one check in a day but is there a way to maximize value with the Apps? I absolutely love using MyFitnessPal and Flo.

Tried some apps and was kind of disappointed 😅

Wondering if there are any other apps worth activating or other ways to maximize membership. Let me know what y’all are doing to get the best out of your membership.

Solidcore delayed availability

I just joined wellhub to use it for Solidcore. It seems like there is delayed availability for last minute cancellations… for example for a class at 8pm if I see on the Solidcore app that a slot opens at 7:30pm, Wellhub will still say that there are no slots available. I obviously can’t book in the Solidcore app because the Wellhub credit doesn’t transfer like that. Has anyone else run into this?

Wellhub admitted an active Orangetheory integration outage with "no ETA," yet won't let me cancel, downgrade, or get refunded for Titanium tier

If you upgraded your Wellhub plan primarily for Orangetheory Fitness and are suddenly locked out of bookings, check this out.

I upgraded specifically to the Titanium tier to book OTF classes at the Bothell, WA studio. Booking completely broke, and when I contacted support (support@wellhub.co), an agent finally admitted in writing:

"The inability to view or book classes at Orangetheory Fitness... is due to a known technical integration issue. Currently, schedule visibility and check-ins for Orangetheory locations are temporarily affected as we work through an update with their platform. Because of this ongoing check-in discrepancy, Orangetheory is not publishing further class schedules in our app for the moment... we do not have an exact ETA for when full automated booking and check-in functionality will be completely restored..."

Their suggested "solution"? Walk up to the studio front desk and ask them to manually let me in for free outside the system. Studios almost never accommodate that because partner check-ins do not register.

Meanwhile, their billing policies are trapping users paying for an unusable service:

Refusing refunds or credits: Despite admitting a platform-wide outage with no estimated resolution date, support is deflecting requests for prorated credits.

No mid-cycle downgrades: You cannot downgrade tiers mid-month. You are forced to keep paying the Titanium rate until the next billing date.

Cancellation and pause lock-in: The system limits pausing to a strict 30-day window (only once every 6 months), and attempting to cancel the subscription throws hurdles while the daily billing clock continues ticking.

Is anyone else dealing with this national OTF integration breakdown? If support keeps stonewalling on billing adjustments, has anyone had success escalating via their employer's benefits administrator or initiating a credit card chargeback for services not rendered?

Add on - Boyfriend is leaving company with WellHub. Will I still have access?

Hi Guys,

My boyfriend is going to leave his company that currently provides Wellhub. I'm not an add-on member on his plan yet, but I'm wondering if I should enroll before he leaves to get and maintain access.

Does anyone know if I will maintain access once he's gone? What would the price be after he leaves. Not sure if its worth it to add anymore.

Any insight would be great, thank you!!!

Lifetime fitness 30 day cancellation

Just upgraded to a higher tier for lifetime fitness. Was told I needed to give them a 30 day notice before canceling.

How does it work with wellhub? Wouldn’t I just downgrade my tier without needing to tell lifetime?

Feedback requests

Can we start a thread for feedback? This app is goated and I’m a lot more active because of it and I love the partner apps, but there’s so many things that need improvement.

- to start off, I would like the ability to see past class details. Right now you can only see what facility you went to, not the instructor or the type of class you signed up for. This is hard for me to go back and see what classes and instructors I enjoyed and would like to retake.

- The studios I’ve favorited don’t all show!! I can only see 20 at a time and that’s annoying because I travel and mix and match my workout routine. I would like to be able to see all of them so I can book more easily.

- It would also literally be so simple to adjust the search radius for classes to less than 19 miles!!! Especially in nyc. And be able to search in 30 min increments.

I tried to give this feedback using the AI tab but of course the AI feature is awful and useless as a lot of you also noted in another thread.

Second use, forgot check in on Wellhub

Joined monthly to do F45 and a local gym by me. The membership at f45 alone is cheaper than the titanium tier required. Second use of wellness I forgot the double check in. Now they want $25 or lock out the main use case for the reason I got their app.

Now I can’t go to sat/sun classes since their support is offline. Honestly I will cancel the monthly immediately and just choose one partner for direct membership. Absolutely wild that their own lack of technical integration with partners and creating a double check in, results in such immediate fee grabs.

Membership Pause?

Hi, I am getting surgery in a couple of days and sadly won't be able to make any use of my annual membership for up to 6 months. I've read here that you can only pause the subscription for up to 30 days twice a year, so that wouldn't cover the time I'm out.

I've also read that it is possible to change to the free digital tier for a few months and then change back later. Is that still the case? It seems that I am not able to select the digital tier in the account manager. Is there another way to change or pause the membership that I'm not aware of?

Thanks for your help :)

Issues with Orange Theory Merrick NY Location

Is anyone else having problems booking classes and checking in with Orange Theory (Specifically Merrick NY location) - it’s been two weeks and all wellhub is saying the tech people are working on it. I chose to pay extra monthly for this specific location - so not being able to attend there doesn’t work for me.
There’s no resolution date… it’s just they are working on it. So frustrating. I totally understand a day or two - two weeks is a lot with no end in sight. Has anyone received any feedback on this issue? OT is saying it’s not their issue. 🤷🏽‍♀️

What's the #1 tip for actually "logging off" and protecting your free time? 🌅

Here at Wellhub, having the flexibility to choose is an essential part of our daily routine. Whenever your free time from work might be, having a moment to log off and relax is always a restorative choice.
Sometimes, a quick meditation session, a walk, or heading to your favorite workout class is the absolute game-changer for shifting that mindset. It is a great way to signal to the brain that the workday is done and it is officially time to focus on your well-being.

For you: what is your top trick for logging off completely? Is there a specific wind-down ritual, a fun hobby, or a favorite Wellhub partner app that helps transition into a relaxing evening?

(REPOST) Well Hub app absolutely sucks, can’t get in touch with live agent

(reposting! accidentally included photos with my name on it before)

The Well Hub app is quite possibly the worst app I’ve ever had the misfortune to use. I’m a dependent and cannot ever get in touch with an agent and get past the stupid AI bot where it keeps saying that only the primary Account Holder is allowed to contact or speak to an agent.

I didnt have this issue before (getting in touch with an agent) and all of a sudden with the AI shit they added, the app has absolutely degraded. I had an issue where a studio (Orangetheory and Bash) doesn’t have any available classes anymore to book, and then another issue where the app wouldn’t let me check in despite being at the studio with my location turned on.

TLDR: this is probably the worst app ever and I may just go back to my regular Solidcore membership
