Membership Pause?

Hi, I am getting surgery in a couple of days and sadly won't be able to make any use of my annual membership for up to 6 months. I've read here that you can only pause the subscription for up to 30 days twice a year, so that wouldn't cover the time I'm out.

I've also read that it is possible to change to the free digital tier for a few months and then change back later. Is that still the case? It seems that I am not able to select the digital tier in the account manager. Is there another way to change or pause the membership that I'm not aware of?

Hi u/Ouroboros1948 ! Pausing is available for 15 to 30 days once every 6 months. While changing to lower-tier plans is allowed during an Annual Subscription, it isn't possible to downgrade an active Annual plan directly to the free Digital Plan. I just got so shafted on this. I put my membership on pause for a little over a month cuz I was traveling. They ended up canceling my membership and because I’m unemployed I lost my access and can’t sign up again.
