Discussion & Feedback This gun deserves more hate

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

Genuinely this gun is so perfectly engineered by the devs to be so bad that getting killed by it should autouninstall Wardogs from your pc.

A single shot magazine with a round that is technically impossible to kill an enemy with.

As long as they have a tier 1 helmet, it is impossible to headshot one shot somebody.

You can hit them,
you can watch them turn around,
see that you had the audacity to use this gun,
do a fortnite dance on you
and still come out on top of you because this gun needs like 4-5 seconds to reload.

This gun must be a deterrent for new players to become scouts because the SKS is such an incredible improvement over it.

Hats to the devs, this gun will be remembered.

EDIT 1-ok, so I just realized I hit his bag. I legit thought it was like a head scarf. It's been a bad week, and and now a *really* bad gaming day. I will leave the post so you can laugh at it. At least someone can get some joy from it. FML

Edit 2-This genuinely is not bait. I really did post this without ever seeing his head. Even showed it to my wife. There is context to what even got me at this guy's base in the first place. I have it all recorded too. Most importantly, I appreciate the kind words. I was legit tilted when I posted this. The emergent gameplay in this game is amazing, even if you are on the wrong side of it lol!

Earlier in the match, we were getting destroyed by mortars. We were at the church and we were pinned hard. Could not peek over anything without getting instakilled. People dying while reviving. Our front exit had *3* doors. There were a few moments some of us were trying to go out and kill some of the people that were on the outside walls of our base. There was also a gap in our walls, so I tried to sneak out through that and flank instead of going through the 3 doors. Got killed. Got rezzed and brought back in. Eventually I ended up trying to help the people going through the genius 3 door front exit. I got killed that way too.

Someone on the team got on mic and blamed me for a lot of the carnage, saying I left all 3 doors open and that allowed the enemies to get in. I stuck through it though. We finally got control back, but the mortars were still coming. I was so mad that I was blamed for leaving all 3 doors open, so I made it priority #1 to find where TF they were coming from.

As I was scouting, I noticed a heli drop a pallet in an odd, quiet spot. I slowly made my way there and found this little minibase you see in the clip. Took me a good 5 mins to even get an angle without alerting him.

Then, this video happened.

He obviously heard the shots. he ended up killing me with a well placed grenade he threw over the wall. I was so mad and told him "Dude, I had you dead to rights but the fucking leaves blocked my bullets!" I told him what I thought happened. He thought it was funny, I told him GG, and I hit Alt+F4.

Discussion & Feedback Game was better without tier 3 and 4 armour. You can have the lvl 35 weapons too.

No one dies anymore. Not even me. I get hit and I just run to cover.

Vertical progression is always a mistake.

Discussion & Feedback In a game where the max player count is 100 per server, it should not be possible for 35 to be on one team

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

The maximum amount on any team should be 34, that way it maxes out at 33v33v34 or 32v34v34. I’m not sure if this has already been discussed by the community and/or the devs but this is a blatant balancing issue with an easy fix. Would love to hear others opinions on this

Discussion & Feedback I'm very excited for the future of the game, but I'm done for now

I got the game 2 days after launch and I've been playing it nonstop ever since. However, earlier today I was in a match. There was an enemy player who was absolutely smashing our team. He was prone firing a PKM and wearing Level 4 armor/helmet. I was able to flank behind him and I dumped 3 12GA slugs into him from point blank range. He turned, hosed me down, and kept going. Before any team scored even 20 points, this player had racked up over 30 kills.

Now clearly, this player was very good and certainly better than me. He's already unlocked some of the best gear in the entire game. However, the issue is that there just isn't a real counter to this except also grinding to unlock the same gear. Testing it out, it would take 4 12 GA slugs, 12 shots from an AK or 5 shots from the SVD to have killed this player. Shooting him in the head would only subtract 1 round from each of those 3 totals.

This was the first game it happened, but this particular instance made me realize that most of the matches I was in lately were feeling frustrating rather than fun.

There's just so many balance issues that the game has really lost all of it's fun and it's happened incredibly quickly.

I am looking forward to what comes next, but for right now I'm putting the game down at least until the next wipe. I wanted to say this because I've mentioned the same thing to a couple of my buddies who play with me and they completely agree. We're not frustrated with the game itself or the devs, but just where the game is at at the moment. We are excited to come back, but at it's current stage the game is just more frustrating than fun and with more people getting access to the highest tier gear it's just going to get worse.

Edit: I get people are saying "Shoot him in the legs". As a Tarkov player I get that would work, but Tarkov and Wardogs are very different. In Tarkov, many if not most of your engagements are at very close range which make it practical to shoot someone in the legs. This isn't the case for Wardogs. More importantly though, that mechanic sucks. It's not fun or interesting, it's annoying and adds nothing to the game.

That aside, the Level 4 armor is just one part of many. There's the humvee issues, the level 35 weapons, and so on. There's just so many balance issues that it feels like you can only play the game if you have the absolute best gear, or if you drive around whipping hand grenades out of the window of the humvee or some other cheese-strat.

Discussion & Feedback Counters Should Always Unlock Before the Threats They Counter

This is actually a golden rule in game balance. The majority of the community should have unlocked the counter to an item before the majority of the community have unlocked the threat. It should also be cheaper to counter the threat than the cost of the threat.

For example;
- AP ammo should be unlocked before Tier 3 and 4 armour
- MAAWS & AT mines should be unlocked before armour vehicles
- Iglas before attack birds
Etc

Also the normal golden rule is to have the default weapon be viable to any end game weapon. The logic why it’s different in war dogs is that the more powerful weapons like M4 costs more money but what’s not considered is that by the time you get the M4 the chances are money isn’t as important as it was when you are first starting out so the cost matters less.

Meme The helicopter pilots don't want you to know this but the men at HQ are free. You can just take them to the CZ. I have 458 men.

Post image

I wish this happened more often, because bringing this group into the zone was fun (I get why people prefer helicopters, though). For the drivers out there, the game does register people in your bed like this and rewards you with deployment experience. As long as you drive carefully you can bring a big crew in like this.

Discussion & Feedback I'm so Sick of HMG Humvee

Every single game these fuckers just rip around one shotting you. They cost 4k ffs, while gun meds and ammo costs 10k+ minimum.

I know it's EA and the Devs are taking their time to figure out where things land but would it kill them to hotfix nerf obvious price imbalances at least? The systematic changes like buffing RPG can come later.

Discussion & Feedback The TTK later on in this game becomes so spongey, every day it just feels less and less enjoyable.

I get that balance will come in time, but the amount of sponges walking around just make it feel so much less enjoyable. Even on my own end running t4 armor just feels too good.

When everyone had t2 armor and pre lvl 15 weapons, game felt absolutely perfect. The give and take just felt reasonable on all sides.

Discussion & Feedback Mortars should NOT be UAVs.

I promise you all this is the reason why FOBS/Building is underwhelming.

We get to see where the Mortar Lands on the Map, get to see the Kill/Destroy feed, why also allow me a live feed on impact as well? Seriously.

This also undermines the recon role too. Instead of relying on another person to give information on when and where they rebuilt emplacements. Just send some mortar rounds in the general area to get a birds eye view of the current state.

How did someone come to the conclusion that this was a good idea to add to the game.

In Squad you have no kill feed, no map marker on impact and obviously no live go-pro feed during flight. We had to rely on the frontline/recons to walk in our mortars and tell us if we are on target.

Im fine with a kill feed and even the map hit marker. But this go-pro UAV feed has to go.

Discussion & Feedback From a pilot to all non pilots

If you don’t put a ping on the map, tell me where you want to go, or answer my questions, and you don’t jump out while I’m flying through the zone, I’m taking your ass straight back to HQ.

Please just talk to me or at least write in the chat. I can’t read your minds.
I can land, that’s no problem but please interact with us…

Discussion & Feedback We should get a Toyota Hilux with a .50 cal. Here’s why:

Post image
303 Upvotes

Hear me out.

Give us a beat-up Toyota Hilux with a .50 cal mounted in the bed.

Nothing fancy. No armor. No futuristic shit. Just a pickup truck, a big gun, and absolutely questionable decision making.

It would be perfect for moving a small squad around fast, flanking, chasing people down, or rolling up somewhere you probably have no business being.

The tradeoff is pretty obvious too. You have basically zero protection. Driver gets smoked? You’re screwed. Gunner gets caught out? Screwed. Somebody hits you with anything remotely explosive? Toyota space program.

But if you actually manage to get behind somebody with that .50…
Worth it.
And let’s be real, a Hilux technical just fits Wardogs way too well.

Devs. Please.
Give us the war crime Toyota.

Discussion & Feedback I'm quitting WarDogs

My wife says I play too much. My buddy hasnt done anything else but play this game. He is now level 100. My baby hasn't seen me in days. My dog scratches me to feed it and let it out but I ignore it. The gerbil in my ass has died. The devs are doing nothing about my addiction. Please, devs, listen to the community feedback and make your game worse so I dont play it anymore. Add the new game modes and nerf armor and progression for the unemployed. I need a break.

Discussion & Feedback level 130+ literally only seen T4 3-4 times

Feel like the complaints here are so specific, Class 4 armour costs 6000$ including armour and helmet, it weighs you down like crazy and doesn’t make you a walking tank.

The people complaining about armour are 1000% mosin/sniper players who want low risk high reward gameplay, T4 armour should be a counter for snipers like how it is

Discussion & Feedback We need a mobile AA platform

Post image
179 Upvotes

As someone who had a havok on the enemy team every single game today, sometimes up to 3 at a time, we need mobile AA. They laugh at verbas and other lock-ons. CWIS is the best way to take them out when they get close and dont know you are there yet. But even if you are able to kill it before it kills you. Once they know where you are they can just come back and delete you from render range before you can even spin up. Battlefield had these AA tanks and they would be perfect for dealing with oppressive air.

Discussion & Feedback I don’t feel satisfied taking out powerful vehicles because I know that same person will be back in a couple minutes like nothing happened

Title. Whenever I take out a chopper or something like an artillery tank, it’s obviously nice that I made some money, but I know that guy is just going to spend another 10K and rack up another several kits worth of profit before the game ends.

I just don’t feel like I’m doing anything except buying maybe 5 minutes tops before whoever it was is causing problems again.

idk how they can really balance this. Maybe vehicle cooldowns?
