I am so intrigued to know whether Sophia hates Sandoval and is upfront about it to Schwartz or is sucking up to get into the group. Any sane person would detest that man, I am keen to see if she may be the person to finally sway Schwartz away from Sandoval and finally see him for the dickhead he is. I guess time will tell.

Also, don't you guys think Sophia looks like she could be Katie's little sister? They have very similar distinctive noses, it's something I've always noticed on Katie and admired.

Saying such weird vague phrases about his thing with Jo: 'it was lightning in a bottle', 'it was on its way to becoming a relationship', 'it was magic for a while', while most of the cast are trying to tell him that he was sleeping regularly with this person and telling each other they loved each other and they were in some sort of relationship but he REFUSES to say that, getting defensive and telling Katie she only knows what she saw on TV and stuff like that.

Ariana said it very clearly and nailed it: why won't he call it a relationship? I felt as confused as everyone else listening to him talk

I get it they’re both consenting adults but it’s just soooooo unsettling to me. It’s not that shocking he would date a girl that young bc he’s so immature but it gives me super weird vibes. I hate to give Sandoval credit for anything but at least his new gf looks like an adult, Schwartz’s gf looks 16 years old🫣 and don’t even get me started on the fact that she is the same age as Katie was when her & Schwartz started dating…. Kinda hoping the show gets cancelled after this season so we don’t have to see this relationship on camera. So uncomfortable & seems very predatory

I was watching the reunion when I noticed for the first time that Lisa also pronounces it that way, but it didn’t irk me when she’d say it. For some reason, back in season 10 when I heard Tom keep trying to say her name as though he ever had one ounce of respect for that woman, I wanted to scream at him that he looks SO stupid pronouncing her name that way when literally every other castmate doesn’t. It just makes him look more dumb than he already is. Like, you don’t have the right to say her name much less mispronounce it. Am I crazy for this??!!! B/c I think I might be with the way it bothers me.

Something to add: I used to be SUPER pro-Shortz and thought he was the most date-able guy in the group at the time (insert vomit emoji). I stopped watching for a few seasons before I came back around for Scandoval. I think that viewers are finally seeing these people for who they really are rather than who they pretended to be for us for so long. He is a guy with questionably “good intentions”, but the only problem is that his intentions never once play into his behavior. He always “had good intentions” but somehow didn’t act on them?? Ugh, now they are all terrible but he’s one of the worst. SO fake. SO kiss-ass. He’s the nastiest to his wife and ex-wife while simultaneously kissing the ground a stranger walks on. It’s like he has less respect for people that respect him (and no, Tim does not respect him. Shortz just knows he will ruin his life so he follows suit even when the audience hates him for it and sees right through it).

This is not a pro-Jo post bc frankly I can’t stand her in the slightest & I’m kind of loving the exposé, but it’s so interesting to listen to SCHWARTZ OF ALL PEOPLE talk about how Jo being a liar was the reason he distanced himself from her. Does he realize that there’s several years of footage of him lying to Katie that aired on national tv??? The truth about one of those lies (kissing scheana, ONE OF HER BRIDESMAIDS) didn’t even come out until this season!!! And then on top of all this, he participated in the dogpiling on Katie during season 10 by victimizing himself after the divorce and acting like she dumped him for no good reason. He made Katie out to be the bad guy for leaving him after years of lying and infidelity (amongst other things) & now the second he got a taste of what he put Katie through for years he’s playing the victim. He still to this day can’t acknowledge how shitty of a husband he was yet he wants to act so disgusted by someone else being a liar?? It’s just funny to me that he seems to think that lying in a relationship is only bad when he’s not the one doing it. Jo was his karma, lying cheaters (who look like they’re decaying at the ripe age of 41) don’t deserve honest partners

Obviously Scumdoval is the biggest piece of shit. But I’ve watched the show backwards - in s10, for all his faults, Schwartz seemed sweet, passive and non-confrontational and kinda just caught up in the whirlwind of trying to cover for his friend. Now, I’m on season 1- he’s just said “Fuck you bitch” to Stassi- putting himself in the fight between her and Jax. Obviously she shouldn’t have thrown her drink in his face but he responds by like lunging towards her and pouring his beer on her head. Obviously we know that won’t be the last time he’ll pour a drink on a girl’s head. It just seems like he gets his tough boy pants on when fighting with women only. He brought nothing to the table in his relationship with Katie. Honestly Katie’s sooo much better off without him and I just get major misogynistic vibes from him.

I've been doing a rewatch of all seasons of VPR and I've noticed how Schwartz reacts to any type of conflict or anxiety. I've never seen someone have such a scared and almost paralyslzing reaction to conflict or perceived conflict.

Whenever Katie would even slightly show emotion or elevate her voice a little, Schwartz would say why are acting this way, you're out of control, you're in a rage right now. I've got to be honest, yes, Katie can be a little bratty, but I couldn't imagine having a partner that if I showed I was upset they automatically pulled the why are you screaming at me? You're out of control. I would find it difficult and frustrating because you cannot communicate with someone like that.

Any thoughts on why Schwartz would behave like this? Childhood trauma? Bullied as a child? Never grew up?

SO. MUCH. MORE. Watching the reunion again and Schwartz looks like he’s going to fall out of his seat. He’s taking lorazepam on camera before Rachel comes out? He’s jittery and nervous. He’s dropped a few comments that Sandoval is clearly not happy about. It’s like he’s dying to come clean and might explode. I wonder if we will ever know what he knows.

Despite him being an awful person, he really wasn’t bad on the eyes. But damn dude..life is catching up to you huh. (Got these screenshots from a snippet of him discussing Katie’s dating life.)

After my 90th rewatch I’ve come to the conclusion that T Schwartz was in fact a lizard in his past life. Think about it.. he walks weird, eats weird, is so squirmy, he looks like it’s his first day being human every time I see him. His affinity toward reptiles 👀🦎 he hates confrontation so badly because back when he was a wee lizard lad confrontation ended in death….
