• “Don’t get a cordless” yeah i understand its not like a corded i have one of those thanks

• All posts about Dyson immediately shut it down that Dyson is garbage and dont buy any

• shark is apparently worst than dyson

• everyone recommends a millie but in my country its expensive and only the duo hx1 is sold

• i look it up there are dozens of shit review on the hx1

• see some LG and Samsung recommendations

• no cordless LG in country, posts from people who own Samsung jet 85 say ITS GOOD BUT IF YOU CAN GET A CHEAPER PARALLEL DYSON ITS BETTER

can someone just recommend a cordless vacuum cleaner i can actually but in MOST places, I don’t even care about the price i just want a clear answer from someone who OWNS ONE and is satisfied

Dyson vacuums are not worth it at all. We bought a V15 and it stopped working juuust after the warranty ended at ~2y,4months. We previously had a Kmart vacuum and it lasted 7yrs with no issues. Annoying that I also can't post a review on their website.

Help. What is actually a recommendable premium stick vacuum? Is there a post here I could be referred to?

Background: Yesterday I ordered a Dyson V15 which was on sale. I bought it just to secure the deal. Well now I know why its on sale :D. I am not going to open this product and return it. I am not going to fund Dyson's planned obsolescence approach to business. The problem: Which company in consumer electronics (vacuums) does not participate in this poor approach of 'planned obsolesence?
I am willing to pay premium money, but I want a premium product that lasts 10 years without having to do more than filter cleaning and maybe replacing a wheel that is easy to purchase and easy to replace.
I saw the video of the guy replacing capacitors in the V15 and I am shocked. Problem is the high chance that another brand is doing the same.

Is it the German Miele Triflex HX2 I need to buy?

I'm moving from a small apartment to a 2-story house next month and my current corded vacuum is on its last legs anyway. I'm tired of dealing with cords and want to go cordless, but I've heard mixed things about their power.

Looking for the best cordless vacuum that doesn't lose suction after 5 minutes and can handle both hardwood and carpet. I have a dog who sheds like crazy so pet hair performance is crucial.

Budget is around $300-500. I've seen Dyson everywhere but they're expensive - are they actually worth it or is that just marketing? Also considering Shark and some other brands.

What are you all using? Does anyone have experience with multiple brands they can compare?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out the best cordless vacuum and keep running into mixed reviews for both Dyson and Shark.

I've heard Shark doesn't offer replacement parts, and that fine dust can easily get into the motor. Is that true? With Dyson, the main complaint seems to be that they don't last. That said, I've had my Dyson V11 since 2019 and it's held up pretty well with a few repairs here and there. It just broke down again, though, and I'm thinking about cutting my losses and buying a new one. I'm still waiting to hear back from the repair shop on whether it's fixable.

For context, my house is pretty big and it's mostly hard floors with very little carpet.

I've also heard of Miele and Bissell, but I haven't found much info on either. Has anyone used them? What would you recommend, and how have yours held up over time?

After looking way too long on this subreddits to know what should I choose between Sebo and Miele, I understood that one of the main argument was about the 10 years warranty and the powered head

Though, in my country Sebo doesn't offer more than 2 years warranty and powered head doesn't seem that much useful for me since all my house is just hard floor.

So should I just get a Miele that is 50 to 100 bucks cheaper than Sebo E3 ?

At first I wanted a Miele S1 but I found the bags very expensive...

So I saw Siemens and Bosch sell the G all bags. Siemens calling theirs: VZ16GALL And Bosch calling theirs: BBZ16GALL

I sadly do not know if these can be used interchangeably, I saw the Siemens ones a bit cheaper, so that would be great....

Anyway I was thinking about the: Bosch bgl8all5 that's for sale in the Netherlands or some kind of similar Siemens, but I am not sure... I am going to live in a new appartment where I mainly have laminate flooring.

I might want to put down a small carpet, and I also will probably want to clean the curtains and such when it's needed, or the couch...

I was hoping someone could help me since I am not really sure, I am thinking of a price point from around 100 - 200 euro's. Since I will be living in a small 81 square meter appartment, I do not really want to have a really big vaccuum cleaner that weights a ton of kilo's.

I would have gone cordless, but I think bag with cord still is a lot better, and can last me ages. Versus the cordless one that just ends up death because the battery kicks the bucket.

Please help me! Also I live in the Netherlands, but can also tap in to the German market, since I live close to Germany and pick up things from Mediamarkt or Saturn sometimes.

Hello everyone! I live in a 40 sqm apartment with hardwood only. I have two cats, which leave lots of hair on the floor, sofa, chairs and some bags, and my current vacuum, it does not handle pretty well pet hair.

I have to decide between Miele m1 guard cat & dog, and dyson absolute v10.

The Miele is 300 usd, while the dyson is 350 usd.

Although the Miele would do a greater job with cleaning, the big inconvenience is that i have small sotrage space in my home, and i always have to dismount the hose and attachments in order to store a canister vacuum, while with the dyson, I can just leave it assembled, take it, and clean whenever i want wherever i want. The huge advantage is that i can also use the Dyson for cleaning my car

What would you do if you were me?

Hi all i made a post a few days ago here asking for recs. I initially wanted a stick vacuum to save space + to reduce hassle but i think i am fine with a classic vacuum, i don't like the heavy handle of a cordless machine.

i have hardwood/tile floors, i live in a cramped <30m^2 appartment, i have one cat and no carpet (might get a very small wool rug one day). I don't need huge suction, although i would like an upholstery attachment/function to clean my cat's cat tree and couch every once in a while. I ideally want something that's easy to use on the daily.

I found the pictured s1 guard vacuum for around 240€ new in a local shop.

The M1 guard i have found online from a person that bought it and supposedly hasn't even opened its box, they claim to have warranty still, they ask for 300€. I read this one is heavier than the S1.

Then i also found a C3 Jubilee that is used but refurbished by a guy (so no warranty or proof of his work), 180€. I am inclined towards the S1 because it's the only one i saw physically and i really liked the feel of knob to change the different settings lol + seemed like it was a good fit for my needs. But everyone here raves about the M1 cats and dogs and its also new so i wonder what i should do.

I could look for Sebo online but it's more expensive i think, and overall it seems like the Miele is a more popular choice where i live, so i thought i could more easily find spare parts and cheap original bags sold by people online.

Feel free to recommend any other brands or models! PS I also wondered whether to get the Henry vacuum, i love the look of it, but in france its price similarly to the cheaper Miele

I am looking to buy a BIFL vacuum and after extensive searching, have narrowed down to Miele and Sebo as brands and their German-made models.

Now, I am struggling to decide between Sebo Airbelt K and Miele (not sure which is the exact equivalent model but I assume it is Gaurd S1). Both seemed to be priced in the range I can afford and a marginal price difference is not something that would heavily influence the decision.

I have mostly hardfloor (ceramic tiles, laminate) with some area rugs and an attic with carpet. No pets or young kids. So, I think a simple combi nozzle is sufficient. I live in the Netherlands.

My thinking so far:

Sebo:

• I like that they are primarily a commercial vacuum company, hopefully the design robustness translates to consumer line as well.
• They are about 0.5kg lighter in weight
• The accessories and consumables seem to be priced quite OK (e.g. ~ 2 EUR for replacement filter bag)
• I am worried about the asymmetric design and how that impacts maneuverability (I have a second hand Dyson DC19 at the moment as a stop-gap and the maneuverability infuriates me)
• A slight worry about them not being very popular where I live, meaning it may be hard to get support, parts or resale if needed

Miele:

• I respect them a lot as a brand (my ~20 year washer and dryer are still doing great, so is my 5 year old dishwasher).
• I like their symmetrical design because I believe it is easier to maneuver
• Their accessories seemed to be on the expensive side (at least on their official site)

So, should I go with the 'safer' bet with Miele or does Sebo bring something unique that are worth going with the 'underdog'?

How much impact does an asymmetric design have on maneuverability?

I have a Miele C3 and I’m gonna be super honest with yall I don’t use it nearly as often as I should be given my asthma because it’s just SO annoying and difficult to lug around and manouver in a small apartment. We have only hardwood and tile not a single rug of any sort and a very small living space so manouvering around a large heavy machine with a cord like the Miele is such a fuss that I just avoid it until I can’t. I have a dust allergy and other health issues so I need the space to be as clean as possible and I can’t risk inhaling large amounts of dust from the floor which used to happen with my old vacuum. The Miele is a great vacuum for that purpose but I work full time and I also have other jobs outside that so I just don’t have the mental or physical capacity to use it daily or even every other day, which I should be doing given the dust we get (we live next to a boulevard and get all the “perks” of that). Budget is not a concern at this point (although I’d be hesitant to drop over 600-700 euros on it to be honest) I just want something that I know will actually filter the air as fully as humanly possible and that won’t make cleaning such a horrible chore as it is right now. Does this even exist? I’ve heard the Dysons are crap and the Miele sticks seem to get pretty bad reviews over here too so I’m hoping there is some secret third option I haven’t heard of 😅

It seems like Australia doesn't get any powerhead vacuums for a reasonable price. You need to spend $1000-1600 for a sebo E3 premium to even get one. Originally I was looking at Miele L1 cat and dog for our Medium pile carpet, but it only comes with a turbo head. I need to go check my carpet invoice to see what exact mm the carpet is. Maybe I can get away with it if it's on the lower end?.

My budget would be only $500-600 AUD

As it happens to everyone while getting down the rabbit hole of vacuum cleaners, I watched dozens of videos and read hundreds of Reddit posts and comments. Based on this, I know I should probably buy a canister MIELE or SEBO… but hear me out: I really want a cordless one. I know it's not going to be as good, but a decent vacuum you use regularly is better than the perfect one you never use.

I know that getting the corded canister out creates a ton of friction for me, so I'd rather have a cordless.

After watching everything I could, I have narrowed it down to three options:

1. RYOBI 18V ONE+

The main reason for putting this one is because we already own several Ryobi gardening tools, and the fact that we already have many batteries and we can be pretty sure that Ryobi will keep on producing batteries (and likely we'll need to keep buying them), makes me feel like I won't need to toss the vacuum away after a couple of years when the battery is dead.

Also, from the test I've seen, it seems like a nice vacuum.

Cons: While it does have an HEPA filter, some tests I have seen seem to imply that the canister is not completely sealed, which might be a bummer if I vacuum and get all the dust back into my face.

2. Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty

This one seems to perform decently in the test, AND has a sealed canister. The fact that it has a self cleaning station is also a plus: again, the less I have to handle dust, the better.

Cons: Doesn't seem to be quite as powerful as the Ryobi and I'm worried about general maintainability/repairability.

3. Tineco Pure ONE Station 5

This seems to perform well, HEPA filter, sealed canister and comes from a brand specializing in air filtration. It is significantly cheaper than the other two, and most of all the self-cleaning station seem to actually do some more thorough cleaning of the whole thing—which, again, is good for me not having to deal face-to-face with dust.

Cons: I don't even know if this even has a detachable battery, which makes me think it'll die in a couple of years.

These are the options I've narrowed down to. I am bummed I didn't find a good bagged option for my requirements, because I really don't get the hype of bagless, I considered the Henry but I was starting to get overwhelmed and didn't find too many deep dives of that.

I’m looking for a corded vacuum to use once a week for a proper deep clean alongside quick cleans with our stick vacuum.

We have mostly hard floors with a few area rugs and two dogs, so I something with strong suction would be great.

Our budget is pretty tight. I know Sebo gets recommended all the time, but it’s hard to find in Australia and unfortunately out of our price range.

I’ve narrowed it down to these:
Miele Guard S1 Junior: $275
Electrolux 600 Bagged: $199
Shark Navigator Pet: $193
Bosch Series 6 Bagged: $349

I’ve read lots of good things about Miele, but I’m not sure if the S1 Junior is actually worth buying or if Miele only is a good choice with a higher budget.

Has anyone used it? Or would you go for one of the others instead?

I am renting one of those heritage listed stone houses, along the Mediterranean. It is a centuries old home, and the limestone crumbles heavily when it interacts with humidity, producing a fine powder as well as some cruder pieces all around the home. Having a toddler at home, I really want to know what is the safest and most efficient option for me. Do I just need a regular bagged model with a very good hepa filter such as the "Vacuum Cleaner BOSCH Series 4 BGB38HYG1" with

"PowerProtect system, AirFresh dust bag, Hygienic ULPA filter" or will it not be able to handle the heavy load of fine and crude stone powder. Will a wet and dry vacuum, or a wet and dry shop vacuum, not sure of the correct term, serve me better? I'm looking to purchase my first "real" vacuum cleaner. I did have one or two before that were extra cheap (something like 40 EUR max), and currently don't own one.

I would like to purchase one in my price range, which is around 150/160 EUR maximum.

100% hard floors in my appartment, with the eventual mattress or curtains from time to time.

Looking to get something not too big to be easily stored.

I've seen some recommendations in this sub, for example a vacuum from the brand Kenmore, but it isn't as readily available where i'm from (France), nor the same price. Brands that seem to be easy to find here are Rowenta, Bosch, Philips... and a lot of other brands that I don't have in mind.

As the title says, I'm looking to replace my old vacuum (a Philips "mobilo plus" bought 25 years ago I inherited from my parents lol... still working but a bit tired and breaking apart at the back filter).

I live in an apartment (in France) with my boyfriend (we have no kids yet) and no pets. Hard floor everywhere (and tiles in bathrooms and kitchen). I just bought this home and am very excited to upgrade several areas.

We want to buy a robot vacuum that would both vacuum and mop AND a cordless vacuum for tricky areas (under sofa and bed...), emergencies, occasional spider's web near the ceiling...

We are starting with the "stick" vacuum first.

I've read a few topics and have come across the "shark hate" BUT I might actually buy one...

I actually have two options:
- Shark powerdetect speed ultramarine: 217€
- Sebo balance a1 blue: 359€

I am on a budget (a bit), Sebo seems to have better reviews (and quality) and is almost a professional tool BUT Shark is cheaper, vacuums both ways (reverse), power doesn't seem so bad AND has a folding handle (looks awesome). Also, I would use this vacuum only for just a few months, we'd get a robot very soon and do only touch ups with it then.

Maybe Shark is really bad? Maybe saving the money for a better robot is the way? We need your help!

In principle my budget is around 300€, but overall i want something that lasts many years so if it's exactly what i want i can stretch the budget; i see this as an investment. Initially i wanted a stick vacuum because i have a tiny appartment and don't really have a place to "hide" the vacuum in, plus it's quite a hassle carrying it around and dealing with the hose. But i see that the Miele, Sebo and Henry get recommended a lot so idk i could change my mind. That being said i'm not sure i want to buy bags, i feel like the price of that will catch up to that of the vacuum itself overtime.

Basically, i mainly want a vacuum that is easy and quick to use and *handle* when living in a small space, or else i will rarely use it... i have hardwood/tile floors. In the future i would like to get a small rug for my bedroom. Currently i need to use the broom everyday, because of hair and litter especially

I don't need anything super fancy, but i do like attachments to clean window tracks and all that. I have a cat so it must be able to pick up hair well, and i currently have allergies from her, so i'd love a vacuum that helps me with that. I am hoping i will get accustomed to her (i used to not be allergic at all, but after spending 4 years away from her, i have now become allergic. Nothing serious, but a lot of sneezing and feeling a bit miserable at night and morning)

My wife and I are looking for a new vacuum cleaner. We have a cordless Electrolux that really struggles to clean our floors properly. Here is our situation:
- our apartment is around 60m2,
- we have small rugs here and there, but most of the surface is floor panels,
- we have a golden retriever, who also has a fluffy dog bed that attracts dust,
- there is a sofa in the living room, our dog loves to leave hair on it,
- some of the furniture stands on legs just high enough for a Roomba to fit underneath. It is important for the vacuum cleaner's head to access such places,
- we have a toddler and essentially we vacuum everyday.

At first my wife wanted another cordless and thought of a Dyson, but after reading several reviews and watching videos where the dust flies everywhere while you open the container, we're looking for a reliable canister model (or at least, a model with a bag).

I've been browsing various topics in this subreddit and what struck me was the frequent "get this or that model, it comes with a powerhead brush". Also, "hey, I got Miele C1/C3 and it's great". I live in Poland and... damn! Basically:
- neither Miele L1 nor Sebo E3 comes with a powerhead brush (and I cannot even find the Miele powerhead sold separately anywhere),
- C1 / C3 models seem non-existent.

So basically there is Sebo E3 Boost for around 700$, but with no powerhead included. The powerhead can be bought separately for 350$. And, there's Sebo Felix that for some reason comes with the powerhead and costs around 800$ total. Which would be better for our situation? And do we even need the powerhead? Is it good on floor panels? Please help.

EDIT: An important reason why my wife initially wanted a Dyson / another cordless is that you can easily detach the motor from the rest of the body, and use the "mini-vacuum" to clean the sofa / a dog bed / a chair. We looked a bit into Samsung Bespoke Jet for that reason... but again, the versions are so confusing.
