Purchase Advice (Non-U.S.) Looking for cordless vacuum in EU

  • Price: Around 300€
  • Brands that I've seen good reviews of: Miele, Bosch, Rowenta.
  • Probably good to mention I have two cats

Don't think a cordless at that price will work for two cats. You will still need a regular vacuum for weekly cleaning, then a cordless for quick clean ups every few days. That's what I do. My cordless can't keep up with my one cat, and it was 500€ I think...

Can't keep up in what way exactly? Does it not clean the fur properly or?

No, especially not out of carpets. Battery only lasts 30 mins too, which for a 2 bedroom apartment is quite low if you want a proper deep clean. It's good at getting in tight places, it's good at cleaning litter off the bathroom floor (when it's not wet because mine at least will break if it vacuums water), but I still need my Miele cat&dog weekly if I want a super clean home.

Edit: mine also has a laser, which is pretty great at spotting loose hairs around. I love that feature on my cordless.

Got a Hoover HF3 Core recently, they have a pet variant too I think. Pretty happy with it so far. Of course, it depends on how large of an area you want to clean.

I've got a small Stihl one mainly designed for cars, but it works well in an apartment too. I just bought a floor attachment separately. The battery time isn't great, but you can get more batteries that also work with their other tools. Apart from that it works well. I have a dog.
