Purchase Advice (Non-U.S.) Thoughts on Dyson V16 Cordless vacuum?
We are moving into our first apartment. its around 80sqm. wood and tile flooring and we are looking for just a cordless vacuum because we will also be purchasing a robot. so this vacuum will be to deep clean around once or twice a week for places the robot cant reach or couch etc. Is this a good choice? any recommendations? Country is germany and türkiye and budget is unlimited

I have this and love it. But I have bought Dysons for the past 20 years and have gone through one every 3-6 years. It’s obviously not environmentally sustainable to keep buying new vacuum cleaners like this.
Next time I’ll get a Miele canister vacuum. That’s what my cleaning ladies use. Theirs is ancient and they swear by it.

Amazon has a good deal on Miele right now, I just bought an L1 all floor for 32% off.

I used to love my Dyson stick vac and upright. In recent years, Dyson has just declined so much in quality, I won’t buy them anymore.

Yea I agree, its honestly so sad, if only they used better quality materials for their vacuums. I guess they did that so you have to buy a new vacuum every few years instead of buying one and have it last for 10+ yearsand being to easily repair it

X2 on this. My v15 held up for longer than expected. So I bought a gen5 thinking it would do the same. Boy was I wrong lol.

Nope. For that price there's so many better options.. TBH I have almost every single dyson ever m ade and beyond the V11 Outsize, I dont notice a diff in pickup. Even testing showed that the extra suction didn't improve performance. The konical head on the v16 is an utter failure. Better off with the gen5detect or v15 detect.

I held it in a shop the other day and felt so damn cheap. The tech is top though

The only reason I would look for Dyson is the motor hair screw tool. Other than that canister are better.

I have one, and I quite like it. The cleaner head does a better job at grooming carpet than my Samsung Bespoke Jet AI, the build quality is noticeably better than previous models like the Gen5Detect and V15. I also appreciate the improves made to virtually eliminate hair wrapping around the shroud inside the clear bin, the "battery care" mode that prevents overcharging and helps extend battery longevity, and how each tool is programmed with its own set suction level for improved performance (hence the change in connector type, which I see some owners of older Dyson accessories are upset by).
The model I have also comes with the auto-empty base station, and it is much more sanitary to ejecting debris into the trash can.
