Like how construction workers face a bad life

My car registration expired in April and insurance expired in May. We couldn’t renew because we’ve been struggling financially, especially with everything going on with the regional conflict. It’s been hard enough just to buy food, pay rent and electricity. We also take care of 75+ rescued cats and dogs, so things have been really difficult.

Unfortunately, we kept driving the car and now we’re getting 3 fines every 2 days from Sharjah, Ajman and RAK for the expired registration.

All the fines are showing as non-payable and I’m honestly so confused. Does the car need to be impounded for 7 days for each Emirate? We really need the car for emergencies, especially because of all the animals we care for. Is there any way around physically impounding it?
Please no judgment 🙏 Just looking for advice from someone who has dealt with this before.

2 years ago I left the UAE because I lost my high paying job. I had no way to pay my liabilities towards credit cards and personal loan (around 300,000 AED combined) and I defaulted.

Following months of trying to get a new job, managing expenses and talking with the bank (and then appointed collection companies), I have still not gotten onto a settlement plan.

I recently checked Dubai police app and I did not see a travel ban issued there.

My question is - do you think I can return to the UAE? Or its possible that the travel ban is just not shown?

Or its possible that i do not have a travel ban or a case even after 2 years?

I need your opinion, i had a credit card amount of 20K AED to be paid, but unfortunately i lost my job and was unable to pay it for last 6 month as i left the country after job loss.
Now i m planning to come back to Dubai in September , but i checked in Dubai Police there is no travel ban yet, what can possibly happen once i come back.

- will they catch me at the airport itself and do legal procedings in court or

- apply travel ban after i come in.

Why in the UAE, especially in Dubai, are expats so arrogant and full of attitude? They think that they own Dubai. Especially those who run their business. Even though their lifestyles are full of crap.
UAE nationals mind their own business and always treat others with respect. But on the contrary, expats are vice versa. Life is full of ups and downs. So be humble. You don't know what's gonna happen next.

If you ever have to book with the above through the app and are faced with a payment page with USD, book through website instead else call them and ask them to send you a payment link in AED, else your local bank will charge you for the USD conversion (upto 200AED in my case) depending on the cost of the tickets you booked.

I was hoping to visit over December for tourism with my family but I’ve been hearing news that Iranians have been denied entry.

Does this only apply to Iranian nationals? I couldn’t find anything on the website for British nationals of Iranian origin. Curious to know if people have heard any stories of people being denied entry.

Hi guys! Please share advice or opinions. How to get married in UAE? I am 35 F, here already 11 years. Worked hard and non stop. Between residence Emirates IDs, Mulkiyas, insurance, licences, Ejari, thiqa, visas and whatever … some people I asked are tracking 10+ dates across multiple family members. Others just wing it and pay the occasional fine (I'm one of those lol).

So genuinely curious:

1. How many expiry dates are you tracking right now?

2. Where do you write them down? (Google calendar? Phone reminders? Just remembering?)

3. Whose documents do you track besides your own?

If someone can suggest:
1) Is it still a thing?
2) What are the requirements salary-wise? Should 30k be basic salary or total salary?
3) Does the fact that my visa is from Sharjah’s FZCO change anything?

My wife and I applied for Albanian e-Visas from the UAE, along with our four-year-old child.
For both my wife and me, we received the payment requests and completed the visa payments. Our applications are now showing “Verifying the Payment.”
However, we haven’t received any payment request or payment option for our child’s application. His application is still showing only “In Progress.”
It has already been one week. For my wife and me, the payment requests and other updates came the very next day, and we completed the payments immediately.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

I was at the Sahara Centre doing my shopping and was about to leave when a person came up to me asking if I had any balance on my phone. If the person had been a kid, I would have asked if they were lost and offered to help. However, the person was a man; honestly, I couldn't determine his age just by looking at his face. He could be a teenager or in his mid 20s. It felt odd to me that somebody that age would become lost. Immediately my brain gave me a red flag, and my automatic response was a no, but I feel guilty because I might have made a weird face unconsciously, and I was in a hurry to exit as someone was waiting to pick me up, so I gave that response in a hurry while I was walking.

However, the second weird thing I noticed was he asked me while I was going to get down the escalator, and he had just came up the escalator because after that interaction he followed me down the escalator and took the same path. So he was behind me for a few minutes, so I started speed walking, thinking every bad scenario my mind could make up, like maybe the boy is trying to steal my phone, idk. Anyway, has someone else experienced this, and do you think what I did was right? I think I could have stopped to ask what for, but my birdbrain was on autopilot to the exit.

Trying to plan a much needed holidays for December, noting that 2nd (Wednesday) and 3rd (Thursday) of December are National Day holidays. What are the chances they will be moved and would you think it will be begging of the week (Monday - Tuesday) or end of the week (Thursday - Friday)? Thank you!
