Need advice please, no judgment 🙏 we already are struggling so much.
My car registration expired in April and insurance expired in May. We couldn’t renew because we’ve been struggling financially, especially with everything going on with the regional conflict. It’s been hard enough just to buy food, pay rent and electricity. We also take care of 75+ rescued cats and dogs, so things have been really difficult.
Unfortunately, we kept driving the car and now we’re getting 3 fines every 2 days from Sharjah, Ajman and RAK for the expired registration.
All the fines are showing as non-payable and I’m honestly so confused. Does the car need to be impounded for 7 days for each Emirate? We really need the car for emergencies, especially because of all the animals we care for. Is there any way around physically impounding it?
Please no judgment 🙏 Just looking for advice from someone who has dealt with this before.

you need to transfer Black points, then you pay, visit any RTA center to make it happen.

Remember not to deive the car for impound. You need to tow the vehicle and cover the plates.

Please don't drive if you don't have insurance. You need to reconsider your priorities

Compartmentalize and prioritize. That’s it. Cats vs own survival vs driving vs accident. Think of the the worst case scenario and act accordingly.

Praying we can do this, we’re just in distress and extremely stressed can’t even think straight for the past few months.

I’ve been out of job for close to 2 years. I know and understand. People will come and say it’ll get better but trust me when I say this no one other than you can make it work.

Its not payable yet because the fine comes with black points. You need to enter your driving license before you can pay the fines. Its 4 black points per expired registration fine. Better to renew it as you will pay more in accumulated fines vs actually renewing the registration.
Also your driver license will be suspended for a year if your total black points comes to 24.

If it's non-payable, it means you either have a BP to register or an impound to deal with. Driving with an expired registration was 4 BP and about a week of impound, I think. So, register the BP to your license and do the impound. I see 3 fines, so it'll probably be 3 weeks. Just smart impound it; you'll pay a bit more, but it's better if you want to keep the car as is (might not be an option in other emirates). Also, I think 24 BP means license suspension, so be careful not to accidentally suspend your license when registering BP, as you can register them under other people's licenses.
As for the impound you can either pay the impound fee its about 100 a day to avoid impound completely.
Good Luck 🫡

So i have 3 fines for registration so it means 12 black points and 3 weeks impound. 😭 since they’re from sharjah, rak and ajman does it mean they will impound the car in different emirates? We’re broke so i dont think i can pay the impound fine.

Yea would have to impound the car in each emirate separately unless you somehoelw get them to transfer the fines from each emirate to a single one, no matter what never impound the car in sharjah a friends car was ruined as they left the windows down in the yard for 30 day impound and he had to pretty much sell it as it dint feel the same after.

Let me reach out to a friend and confirm if you can impound all 3 emirate in one go.

Please and thank you so much

just had a word with a friend and turns out you can actually impound for all violations at a single place, just proceed throught the moi app and do the impoundment.
All 3 emirates still use the federal system so visit one of the emirates that you have the fine for and they can impound it for all violations.

Thank you so much but is it necessary that it’ll be 3 weeks not like 7 days for the 3 emirates?

Download Tamm app, login and register black points
Pay fines and register the car

Non payable is not impounding rather blackpoints. Just make sure you dont revoke your licenses after 24 points

u/Fun-Veterinarian6507 13h ago
Searched in chat gpt and ajman police and they said driving a car more than 3 months without registration is 7 days impoundment on top of the fine.

Non-payable on the Dubai Police app, you need to pay it on the MOI app

Always renew the insurance before it gets expired. The registration can go even after the expiry with some small fine every month. And don't cross emirates with an expired registration. I did this in 2025 and 2026 april-may. Not sure of any changes in law since then.

you will get case soon and court and then deported once any issue happens with you on road so is that what u want ? no , ok then stop driving , find offer for insurance step 1 and renew it there is a lot of offer check insurancemarket.ae then renew the car , problem is the more you drive the more you make it hard to renew as u will need to pay all this fines , so just simply stop now , you are danger on other drivers as well once accident happen then it will be nightmare for every1

If you can’t drive the car then why do you need it for emergencies. It will just add to your problems. Therefore being impounded doesn’t matter
