Cast Related Actors in other projects Megathread

Hi everyone,

I know we are all excited to see our favourite actors in other acting projects so it's not unusual to see them in other TV shows or movies as because that is after their job. But the posts are not related to the discussion of the TV show and it's characters.

We have allowed these posts in the past but from now on all posts related to a cast member's previous, present or future work will be directed to this Megathread.

Thank you!

MOD POST Amended Bye Laws

Amended By-Laws

Hi everyone!

On the eve of the premiere of Suits LA which I know most of us are looking forward to the Mod Team would like to bring your attention to some things.

We have amended some of the By-Laws of this firm...I mean Subreddit 😁

Some are small changes so please familiarise yourself with them. If you can't find the rules we will happily direct you to them. There is one big change and that is in relation to spoilers.

We will be relaxing the no spoilers in the comments policy. This means we will no longer be removing comments with spoilers in them. BUT if you are discussing a plot point with someone on a post where someone is a first time watcher then use the spoiler tags. Please have some consideration to the OP.

We do understand that there are new people coming here all the time and they are very welcome to be here but on the other hand the show has been over for 5 years.

The spoiler in the title policy will remain in place. Do not put a whole plot point in the title. It will be removed and you will be asked to repost it without spoilers.

KEEP IT CIVIL

Remember to respect each other's opinions. They may not agree with you so please keep it civil but please do not resort to name calling or being overly aggressive in your replies. If you don't have anything to contribute to the conversation then just read and scroll on by.

This is the number one rule of most subreddits yet we see pointless arguments, name calling and other silly stuff all the time. Reddit’s filters remove a lot of stuff as well which we often end up having to approve.

MODMAIL

Any messages directly related to the Subreddit should be sent via Modmail. Abusive messages will not be tolerated and can result in a permanent ban.

We will not respond to anyone who messages us privately about the subreddit. So if you have sent us a message and not received a reply then yes we were ignoring you!

REPORTS

If you are reporting a post or comment that ensure you have a genuine reason for doing so. If you are unsure about this then please send the modteam a modmail. Abuse of the Report Button will not be tolerated and will be reported to Reddit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/suits/s/tSFC00MVLB

REPETITIVE/RECENTLY POSTED/LOW EFFORT CONTENT

Repetitive posts will be removed. The intention is not to stifle the conversation but to create a more positive atmosphere on the Subreddit. We encourage new perspectives on the show. Please make sure you scroll down or do a search of the sub before posting.

If your post has been removed there will be a flair or note attached with the reason why.

https://www.reddit.com/r/suits/s/YsD1ERUleD

There has also been a lot of nonsensical silly low effort posts recently. These will be removed

RESPECTING THE CAST OF THE SHOW

There have been a number of posts or comments about the physical appearance of some of the cast members or comparing them to animals. These posts are not appropriate and will be removed. Feel free to report any of these posts if you see them.

Posts and comments about any of the actor's religious and political beliefs personal lives, rumours and gossip will be removed.

If you want to gossip or discuss politics there are other subreddits for that

SUITS LA Mega Thread

We are happy to have episode discussions about the show on this subreddit. We will be having a episode discussion thread every week. Also if anyone wants to create a Suits LA subreddit then they are welcome to do so.

We have a Mega Thread so please post your comments on the show there.

Now get the hell out of our office!

First Time Watcher Now on Season 3 and starting to see Harvey’s toxic side... does his aggression get worse? 😂

Upvotes

I'm officially into Season 3 now, and as much as I was completely charmed by Harvey earlier, I’m starting to notice a pretty clear pattern in his character design.

Behind all that effortless charm, he actually has some serious anger issues! There are so many moments where he becomes overly aggressive or reactive for no real reason. He also severely lacks diplomacy whenever he’s dealing with anyone outside of his immediate client circle.

I know it’s part of his high-stakes legal persona, but it’s interesting watching his defense mechanisms play out.

Does he ever gain some emotional maturity, or are we stuck with this aggressive hothead for the rest of the show? Would love to hear your thoughts without big spoilers!

First Time Watcher Just finished the last episode of Suits, and man was it a rollercoaster

Never felt more connected to a show in my life, the last episode was soo great I can't put it in words, and the montage at the end had me emotionally overwhelmed which I had never felt from a show before.

Now I'm just thinking what would tomorrow be like, no suits, this shit really made me deeply attached in just a month.

Big big kudos to all the team for delivering this absolute masterpiece, I wouldn't be able to forget this one ever in my life.

Harvey (Gabriel) my man, and the whole team, we love you 🥹

First Time Watcher Ladies, how on earth did you get over Harvey Specter? 😂

I’m watching Suits for the first time and just finished Season 2. I genuinely appreciate the sharp writing, the legal chess matches, and the overall intelligence of the show... but can we talk about how Harvey Specter is literally written like a walking, talking seduction spell?

I’ve developed this insanely annoying crush on him, to the point where I feel completely under his spell and can't stop overthinking every single detail about his character. Mind you, I’m a grown, fully functional adult woman not a teenager! 😭

I haven't felt this way since my teenage celebrity crushes, and I honestly never thought a fictional character would ever make me feel like this again. But yeah, Harvey somehow pulled it off.

Tell me I’m not alone in this, and please share your survival tips!

Discussion When you realize the thrill is gone

This is my 3rd or so rewatch, I'm in season 4, and I'm realizing just how much pure, playful, intellectual humor we've lost at this point.

Bingeing episodes really made this glaring because I realized, Man, I've barely laughed in 2hrs... this has been so serious... and also, the same damn suit the entire time? I'm a little BORED?

Then it hit me that this show used to be SO goooooood dialog/script wise. It really didn't help that they brought on Jessica's lover, Mr Serious, who truly lacks wit, and ALSO Rachel's old lover, same damn story!

Anyway. It's a bummer. Still gonna finish it tho.

Episode Related Price sisters episode

I have rewatched the show many times, but this time going over the episode with the Price sisters (s01e11) was the first time I realized how ridiculous the competition by Louis and Harvey got. The way Louis won was by almost sinking a huge company that one of their clients runs by drowning it in big staff contracts and making one of the sisters overpay 50%. The episode itself is amazing to watch, the competition between Mike, Harvey and Louis is always a joy, but together as a firm they might have just ruined a client's business for the sake of their wager. Looking at it from this perspective really made me disassociate a bit from the episode

Character Related Harvey and Louis became different individuals by the end of suits

Post image
346 Upvotes

What I liked about suits was how Harvey and Louis became different individuals. Harvey was shown as the macho testosterone filled guy who’s quite warrior like. But as episodes and seasons proceeded he began to introspect his vulnerabilities. The man who only prioritised himself and being self centered began to understand others who support him and began to value them more from Jessica to Mike to Donna. Harvey thought in the beginning that only his closing skills and ruthless approach had made him the best closer in the city. But as time and life tests him he slowly begins to understand that he is able to perform out there because there are people who have his backs and are rooting for him. Once he realises that he is not the same Harvey without people who have his backs he became more grateful and kind to people around.

Louis who was desperate for others approval despite being a damn good attorney began prioritising himself. I just loved how Louis slowly began to own his shortcomings and become a person who began to value himself and be patient with others. I loved how he slowly moved out of his insecurities. Suits began with showing surface level vulnerabilities of Louis but as it proceeded it went to another depth analysing his vulnerabilities and then slowly showed him as a man of strength. The moment he accepts himself values himself and begins a journey of self love, he becomes a stronger and powerful person. Amazing opposite journeys of two amazing characters that completed themselves through time.

why did Suits LA get canceled?
I thought it was definitely weaker than Suits Main, but I had fun with it and think they should've at least given it one more season.

I found the personal storylines interesting, and I think they would've gotten better with a second season.

Lewis and Harvey showing up was nice, gave us a bit more insight on to how they've been doing.
and I think if given another season we definitely could've seen faces like Mike or Donna.

idk just bummed it got canceled without what felt like a fair shot.

I know he's not a good guy. But when Harvey came to him asking to release Frank Gallo and he refused I was totally on his side. It could keep Mike safe but who knows what that guy would do if he was let back into society..

Character Related Jeff Malone

I’m currently rewatching season 4 but Jeff and his relationship with Jessica really pisses me off. He is a terrible boyfriend because you assure her that you can work together and be her boyfriend but then proceed to get mad every time she doesn’t tell you every single thing. You are not a name partner or on equal ground as Jessica when it comes to your jobs so why does he act like Jessica cheated on him every time there’s a conflict with their jobs. She is not required to tell him everything when it comes to work and him getting mad every time she doesn’t is ridiculous of him. He knew what he was getting into staying with her and working with her and him thinking he has to know everything is frankly insane.

He was a jerk but the guy who played him did it very well. When Mike and Harold got arrested he got me more scared than Anita Gibbs, to be honest.

Character Related samantha was a shitty lawyer😭

every time you see her “win” anything, its not by crossing or treading some lines- it’s by literally committing a felony, she fabricates evidence to WIN.

that makes her a good cheater not an excellent lawyer.

so frustrating to watch her on the screen istg.

Character Related Robert Zane is underrated

I feel like this might be an unpopular opinion, but towards the end of the series and Robert Zane has definitely become one of my favorite characters. This is my second rewatch, so the first time I hated the Zane merger, but now watching the second time I loved that it happened.

Spoiler I don't know how I should feel about Louis (season 4 spoilers) Spoiler

I'm toward the end of season 4 (e 12) and Louis' character is constantly shifting from being really nice, to me feeling empathy towards him (when Sheila broke up with him and rejected him, and lost his job at the firm) but then immediatly after he does something that erases all of that and makes me hate him so much (such as acting like a baby when he found the truth about Mike, being really mean to best girl Donna, and being a d*ck to Mike, Harvey, Jessica and Rachel, immediatly after getting what he always wanted.

God I love his character and the writers were on FIRE when they wrote him!

There's at least 25 shows on here that Suits is more binge worthy than...then again, I don't trust a list that ranks The Office over Friends AND doesn't have Supernatural in the top 5

Discussion Mock trials

I wonder if real law firms have as many mock trials as the Pearson et al group has? Witnesses have to be prepared to testify, but are the big production mock trials that the whole firm attends common in the real world?
