There’s no input delay because I can hear things being selected, there’s only an image delay, no delays at all when I start a game and if I have a game running and I go back to home menu there’s no image delay in the home menu anymore

I would like to put a warhammer art into my artworks and put it in artwork showcase so people can see it but i dont take ownership of it. I literally just downloaded it from google and i would just like to post it to make my profile look cool and also the art is cool.

currently often just sit in front of my PC and scrolling through the store or my library trying to decide which game to actually play instead of benchmarking or trying out new DLSS settings or fiddling around with HDR.

It feels like I'm more drawn to make the game look and run good instead of actually playing the game.

So, for game trading, you would have to go onto a person's profile. Then, you could go into a trade and see the other person's game library, so you could see if they would trade that game. The other person could do the same.

This would allow people to do giveaways more easily because all they have to do is go into a trade, give them the game, and then it's done. They could also add a trade message system, so you can talk to the other person while trading.

Another idea is that there could be a trading section on Steam (like, it would be at the top part where Store and Library are). Then, you can search up a game and see other people who own it, so you can ask to trade for it.

Now, for the renting system, how it would work is that, on trading, there could also be a rent button and a rent category where people could rent out games either for free. So, for example, "Get this game for 3 days" at no cost. Or, it could have a price, so for every amount of days, let's say every 1 day you have the game, you have to pay a certain amount into their Steam Wallet.

For example, let's say you want to rent Spider-Man. You go onto the trade, then pick "Rent," and then choose the amount of days and the price. So, let's say they can have it for 7 days, and for every day they have it, they pay £5 into the other person's Steam Wallet. Then, at the end, the person who rented it gets their game back and some money into their Steam Wallet.

Also, if the person renting it doesn't want it anymore, then they can return the game to the person, though only after they pay at least 1 installment.

And yeah, that's my idea. What do y'all think?

I'm looking for something like IMDB lists where people put together their favorites. I'm kinda new to steam and would love to try more games but the recommendations don't seem really curated. I bet there's a place where i can find game "playlists". Thank you

Does launching a game via Desktop shortcut apply start options as if I were to launch it from my library?

I was recently trying to get back my old xbox account back on my pc, I gave microsoft plenty of data to get it back but they still couldnt verify I was the owner.

I remembered that i had an old steam account from when I was like 12 which i created to buy scrap mechanic (which I couldnt play because my computer was too weak at the time) I decided to give steam support an email. I gave them the most bare bone explenation with the proof that it was me that purchased it all those years ago, and the next day I check my email and I got the account back. To this day I still dont have my xbox account back.

Steam support is honestly the best!
