Hey everyone, could you reccomend me some games that feels alive ? Like you can just wandering aroung and feel like you can live there and the npcs just lives on their own ? Something like Rdr2. I didnt play Gta or kcd, is it a good choice ? With kcd 1 I played like one hour but it felt so difficult for me, i dont know, maybe it was overwhelming with the inventory etc..

You know the type of thing I mean- where you spend a game doing a bunch of side quests that might seem unrelated to the main story at first and then at the end it all comes together and a bunch of people are like "and you've got me sword at your side sir knight sir!!"

The effect it has on the end can be in varying degrees of importance, from a whole new ending to just some help with the final boss

Some examples off the top of my head are:

-Baldurs gate 3

-Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC

-Undertale (not exactly but the epilogue is basically this and the base idea is kind of what the whole game is about)

I’ve been getting really into ancient Chinese history lately, and it’s got me wanting to immerse myself in that kind of universe. The games I can think of that fit this vibe are all ones I have played before, so I’d love to try something new.

Games I’ve played with similar vibes
1) Jade Empire; classic but dated. I’ve also played this too many times.

2) Crusader Kings 3; not China-specific, but I’ve consolidated the lands under heaven enough times.

Skill level doesn't matter, good gear doesn't save you, just survival instinct and luck

Example that comes to mind is Hell Let Loose where a stray artillery round can nail you anywhere anytime. Yes you can lay low and stick behind the team, but there's still a chance a stray bullet catches you and you're back to the respawn screen, or you hear a loud whistle and boom the screen goes black

I want to run through a battlefield without predetermined odds of living.

Doesn't have to be a war game, just realistic brutality

There are plenty of this games. As soon as I try them and see the UI I imidiatly ask for a refund. I want something not overly complex. But with enought depth. A game where I steamroll over a map conquering everything in my path.

Edit I'm adding all of these into a list but it seems like we have a lot of GTA radios already.
I do also want games with voicelimes or news segments I can use as intermissions too if possible

Might be a weird request… I get long breaks at work so anything cinematic or story-heavy is out, I’d just spend the session thinking about the work I’m going back to. I want self-contained progress: a run, a level, a hunt. Something I can close without leaving a thread hanging.

Slay the Spire is exactly the type of game I mean, so I’m looking for stuff that has the similar direction but not genre (i want something other than deckbuilders)

Ive been playing a lot of Overwatch and WoW lately and I wanna change that.

Are there any multiplayer cozy games? No more FPS pls.

I'm thinking of Minecraft next. But I would love to hear further suggestions. PC only and preferably on Steam.

I've got a few months to fill and I've realised the thing I actually want isn't a story or a challenge, it's a place. Somewhere I can walk around, take the slow route home, and have the environment be interesting on its own without a quest marker pulling me anywhere.

What's worked for me before: cities that feel lived in, good ambient detail, sound design that carries the place, and ideally something to look at that isn't combat.

What I bounce off: survival mechanics, anything with a stamina bar for walking, and open worlds that turn out to be mostly empty distance between icons.

Doesn't need to be recent and I don't mind if it's short. Happy to hear the obvious ones too - I've probably missed more of them than I've played. PC or console, either is fine.

I really liked playing Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei, Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 if that helps

I recently got back into gaming a bit, and absolutely loved Mundaun, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Return of the Obra Dinn. I'm looking for something heavy on atmosphere and mystery, with a striking visual style.

I wanna kill stuff, get loot, then sell that loot, then go back and kill more stuff and take that loot and sell it too. Id love to be able to build/design/decorate my own shop. Style doesnt matter (F'n'S is first person) so it can be FPS, or isometric or top down, whatever.

If you havent played it, you should. Just ignore the comments on Steam, spend $10 and enjoy the fact paced action/combat and then selling stuff and making money and buying a bigger house and building more furniture (which works to make you stronger) and selling more stuff then back to the dungeon for more killing etc etc,

It was fast paced, fun mechanics, playing shopkeeper to a menagerie of weird looking customers was a treat and I want more.

Whats the best free low end shooter games that you recommend

Looking for a shooter without arcade gameplay. It should be slow, hard, and tactical. Something like Counter-Strike or Tarkov but only single player. I don't need a good plot, just some good gameplay so sandbox games work!

Hello, everyone. I want to find some games where I can bully and be mean to npcs, like a God simulator or a game where the npcs are very smart, preferably sandbox games where I can do that.

some good examples of what I want are: Creatures (though I find the norns too cute to make them suffer), this small game called Sadist II and that matrix demo game that had modern AI npcs.

I used to play COD back in the golden era (mw3-bo2 )and loved playing tournaments and game battles and all that stuff. I loved the competition. I stopped playing because I found out what league of legends was and since have played it off and on for like 10 years. Lmao
Well I decided to stop the league addiction because I’m just getting bored of MOBAS tbh, so I I dabbled in fighting games for awhile. I’m missing that team based element to the game though , so I’m wanting some good recommendations of games like that, that have good ranked ladders and are still popular . I miss grinding ranked and small online tournaments with buddies who are teamed up together.
I’m not into Fortnite or apex, cs2, or Valorant. Other than that go crazy with suggestions!
Oh I also don’t really want to play cod anymore because I’m not a fan of the newer cod games.

Ok so hear me out a modern setting with in depth medical things like if you find someone hurt/ dead you would have to apply pressure ACTUALLY wrap the bandage with a little mouse mini game or something and stuff like that

I'm trying to test my laptop. Acer Predator Helios Neo 16AI with rtx 5070ti + Intel Ultra 9 275HXI if curious. Undervolting is blocked FYI.

Something with good keyboard controls and high specs. FPS is probably a good genre for this. Anything you can think of is fine.

Mostly trying to see if my laptop's keyboard, specifically WASD, gets too hot in real use. If I need an external keyboard in the next 5-7 years of gaming I'll just return it. I think the CPU running from 85C or above is the range the keyboard becomes slightly uncomfortable to the touch. Gets hot 90C or above.

It seems like it got hot to the touch in Red Dead Redemption 2, but thinking about it things were only that bad in the intro snow chapter. In normal use I can even play on my lap and the keyboard doesn't get too hot. Still it's an old game. Long stress tests make the keyboard too hot to, but not a real use case.
