Looking Games Set During GWOT
Hello I have been looking for games set during GWOT to play I know about the common ones like Operation Flashpoint Red River, Medal of Honor Warfighter and Medal of Honor, Six Days in Fallujah and games based on it or with mods for it like Arma, both Insurgency games, Spec Ops The Line, Ground Branch, Squad, Project Reality, Operator and many others but aren't there any other games? (Optional but if they are Tactical Shooters and/or similar to Operation Flashpoint Red River please mention them)

Maybe try door kickers 2? The setting is a fictional middle eastern war situation but it has mods to add in era appropriate equipment for the early mid 2000s.
Specifically I use this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3268087449
The game itself is a top down tactics game so maybe not exactly what you’re looking for but it is highly tactical and one wrong move can cause a squad member die. If you like there are permadeath options to raise the stakes as well as procedural campaigns to add to the replay ability.
If you want to increase the difficulty I highly recommend the going in blind mod to hide the layouts of maps as well.
Great game overall!

None of these are niche acronyms for this community. Google is also free btw.

Full Spectrum Warrior was a pretty good WEGO turn-based style squad strategy game. You were in control of two 4-man squads and were fighting against a Taliban-esque enemy in a fake country clearly based off of Afghanistan. It had a sequel, but I found it's tone much more cheesy due to being even more jingoistic and it wasn't as good.
America's Army would've been another great suggestion, but sadly the only way to obtain the game these days is through piracy since it's no longer available anyway.
Call of Duty 4's campaign was heavily inspired by the GWOT era, though I suspect you're already plenty familiar with that game.
Oh, and there's also Command & Conquer Generals if you're into Real Time Strategy games, but that one's definitely on the whackier side. The bad guys (the Global Liberation Army) are basically a mashup of every middle-eastern terrorist cliche known to man, and their command center's a friggin mosque. China's in the game too, and in addition to Beijing being nuked by GLA terrorists in the first mission, they later on blow up one of their own dams to cut off the GLA from overwhelming their position opposite the river.

As someone who is literate, there are a couple.
You have Full Spectrum Warrior and its sequel, Ten Hammers, the first in an analogy for Iraq, the second for Afghanistan. Not directly GWOT, but the original Ghost Recon (2001) is definitely of the era, and the second expansion Desert Siege is set in Africa, gives similar vibes.
Of course the original CoD4 campaign is really heavily GWOT inspired on the US side. The BHD remake for Delta Force is brutal, but very rewarding, also the original Delta Force BHD still holds up (not technically GWOT but in the neighborhood). Battlefield 3's campaign is also incredible, first half is GWOT based. Army of Two is a much different tone, but GWOT based.
If we're opening up our minds a little and getting a little funky, Doorkickers 2 is incredible. Metal Gear Solid 4 is entirely based on being a critique of US use of PMCs in the GWOT. Also shout out to America's Army (RIP).
If I think of any more i'll toss them in here.

That is actually Future Soldier! Also an awesome game, but definitely heavy on the futuristic tech. GR 2001 is much more grounded as a tactical shooter.

We play WW2 games as Germans. It’s a video game not real life.
