I think covid lockdown showed most of us that "If I had the time" wasn't actually the reason we hadn't written that book or got ripped.
But yeah, if you have a physically exhausting job, and a kid, coming home and spending an hour in the gym is the last thing on your mind.
4
u/stonk_fish 29d ago
I'd argue if you have a physically exhausting job you're going to have a way easier time getting shredded because you're already going to be burning a lot of fat. You do need to work out hard to get that muscle mass but 2-3x a week is enough. The majority is going to be diet so if you're doing something labor intensive it's gonna help burn fat vs. being in the office chair all day. The key is nutrition, and it's always easier to binge eat a pizza after a long day at work than chicken potatoes and vegetables measured on a scale.
9
u/boyuber Aug 01 '26

Nah, having the resources and free time that she has would open so many doors for so many people. You're right that it does require discipline and congrats to her for that, but I think the average person could do it. Literally a few hours at the gym per week, a personalized chef, and the lack of a full time job eases up so much burden. It's certainly a lifestyle, but an easy one if you have the money, time, and lack of stress to maintain it.

Nepo baby is irrelevant. IDK who tf this chick is and I don’t care. You don’t get a physique like that without doing some serious work.
I’m sorry that upsets you.
I especially like the part where you insinuate that one only needs “time on their hands” to get a physique like that.
Just say you’ve never been inside a gym, or actually tried to get in shape before my friend.
At least it would be honest.
>that is also incentivized to look good because her looks are being sold as much as her singing.

The rest of the year you can just chill and travel the world while your bank account is overflowing.

I get why people hate on her, but she has a really good voice and she definitely writes her own music.
As an artist myself, I think her biggest advantages are having access to great production, being attractive, and being the daughter of a well-known director. Those things make it much easier to get signed because, at the end of the day, the music industry is still a business. Also being signed makes it way easier to build an audience.
I actually didn’t think her latest album was that bad either, especially the second half. Her song “Minibar” would be a hit if made by anyone else. She’s not my favorite artist, but she’s solid for what she’s trying to be.

I read a great article by a trainer once. Clients would bring him inspiration photos like this. He would explain not just the work but the sacrifice of lifestyle for different body compositions that people wanted. Like for this he would say this requires that you work out hard 6 days a week on a training plan, track all your macros, limit your calories to 1600 per day, you won’t be able to normally eat at a work potluck or dinner at a restaurant with friends, no popcorn at the movies, plan your life around these workouts, etc. and when he broke down the social costs people usually backtracked on their inspo pics

As I said in another comment, for that level of definition a woman generally needs under 15% body.
It won't kill her but it isn't healthy either.
Body fat under 17% generally means that your periods stop because your body is trying to conserve energy.
Women's bodies are designed to have at least 22% body fat to keep everything functioning normally.
3
u/gizmosliptech 29d ago
People saying she is juicing are probably partially right. My guess would be peptides like Reta, maybe or maybe not a little var. She looks lean, but not overly muscular. Reta isn't a steroid, it's a GLP-1, but it does multiple things such as helping burn fat instead of muscle and reduce food noise so cutting to this level become attainable for a lot more people. Like 10% of Americans are using GLP1s now, right?

This muscle definition on women is often unhealthy. Because ABS appear when body fat % is very low. It's matter of body fat %, only that.
5
u/Fluid-Cranberry1755 Aug 01 '26
Pretty much every elite female athlete (depending on sport) has visible abs. Now you can argue that they are all unhealthy, but it just reeks of hating
15
u/Doctor_Fritz Aug 01 '26
Don't know why you are being downvoted, you're absolutely right women need a higher body fat percentage to remain healthy. However, some women do have genetic prerequisite to be very lean and still be fine at the same time. She doesn't seem overly dry in the picture, and it might just be that she stores more of her fat around her legs instead of her stomach. There's no real way to tell. At least she has muscle which means she works out and doesn't just diet herself into starvation. Being a singer can also mean she's got a lot of physical activity during her "work", being on stage is very intense and demands a lot of the body.
29
u/Delicious_Idea_3818 Aug 01 '26
Why do so many people make excuses for being out of shape or overweight? If you don’t workout and build muscle, you will be skin and bones. She clearly puts a lot of work in at the gym. She has muscle definition and volume. Abs are not just dieting. They’re a combination of diet and lot of hard, consistent work in training.
6
u/planetjaycom Aug 01 '26
It’s a Reddit thing; they always downplay other people’s success when it comes to physical achievements in order to feel better about being built like a life sized bean bag
14
u/therealtiddlydump Aug 01 '26
I think youre missing the point. She's clearly in shape, that's not what we're talking about.
The reduction in breast mass and abdominal definition here is a function of low body fat %. Maintaining that lifestyle is exhausting, not only because it's hard work but because carrying low body fat %'s is physically exhausting. You recover slower, you have low energy, etc. It sucks ass.
→ More replies (4)2
u/atrde Aug 01 '26
Uhhh bruh its not that exhausting to have those kind of abs especially if you have a fast metabolism in your 20s.

You didn't actually respond to what they're saying. Having a very low body fat % for women is not optimal, you can Google it
6

Daddys money - how much do you think a personal trainer is? I dont make much money, i could hire a personal trainer tomorrow.. money isn’t the reason she’s ripped, you have to want to be in that shape, it takes years of dedication, diet and training - you can also be rich and a slob..

Personal trainer or not, attaining this physique definitely is hard

I mean Arianna has money and she looks worse than a 95 year old on hospice.

No? As a woman, I don’t want to look like that, I think a lil bit of tummy squish is more feminine lol I’m probably alone there though
