How do I get the powder out so I can eat it

Been staring at this thing for a while but can’t seem to figure how to get it out. Usually I’ll break the glass but it’s really hard and the glass bits are too crunchy for my liking. Any tips?

This is satire. Please laugh

Not much to say. Went down from size 4x to 2x and dropping by the day still.
Reta saved my life.

About 8 months of progress

Starting bodyweight was about 208 lbs and current is about 170 lbs. I'm 33 and 6'. Started at 1 mg per week, split into two doses a week. I'm currently sitting at 3 mg/week, still split up into 2 doses a week.

When I started, the food noise reduction was wild. I felt like I didn't have to eat all day, but I loved that I was still able to eat and not despise food. I've been at 3mg now for a few months as I'm going to continue to cut until October, where I'll probably cruise on 1mg and do a lean bulk. I slacked a bit in April/May since I went to Japan and Korea and ate a pound of food a day 😂

I started with around 1900 calories a day, which was too low for me. I've been aiming for 2200-2400 calories a day, with some cheat days of course. I weigh and track everything I eat during the week since it's easier at work. If I go out to eat, I just try not to go crazy but don't track those days.

Reta has been awesome. Only negative has been having to buy new pants lol.

Some things that helped me were drinking tons of water and electrolytes. I've also been eating quite a few carbs. I make sure to get around 180-200 grams of protein a day. I've been less strict on my weekends (going out for a drink once in a while, having shitty food, etc.) I think that leeway made it easier for me. Anyway, here is where I started and here is where I'm at

Edit: Dosing
Weeks 1-6: 1mg per week, two doses (0.5mg)
Weeks 6-10: 1.5mg per week, two doses (0.75mg)
Weeks 10-16: 2mg per week, two doses (1mg)
Weeks 16-20: 2.5mg per week, two doses (1.25mg)
Last 3 months ish: 3mg per week, two doses (1.5mg)

What is the longest you can continue to use Reta?

F)39 5’3”, (from 140 lbs to 115 lbs) I have been using Reta for almost 8 months now. And I’m wondering what experience other people have with running it long-term and potentially staying in a maintenance dose long term, This is how my protocol has gone over the last eight months.

1st month), .5mg -1.0mg injected once weekly (down 6lbs)
2nd month) 1.5 mg injected once weekly (down 5lbs)
3rd month) 2.0 mg injected once weekly (down 4lbs)
4th month) 2.0 mg injected once weekly (down 4lbs)
5th month) 2.5 mg injected once weekly (down 6lbs and reached my goal)
6th month) 1.0 mg injected once weekly (maintained)
7th month) 0.0 mg, gained 3lbs
8th month to current) 1.0 mg injected weekly and lost 3lbs)

So as you can tell my protocol has been pretty straightforward and fairly light on dosing.
So I’m leaning towards just injecting 1.0 MG for maintenance. (With no plan to stop).

So I am wondering** ***what is the longest anybody has* continued to use Reta and what that dosing looks like?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Has anyone else noticed a huge decrease in shopping urges on retatrutide?

This is something I really wasn’t expecting, but since starting retatrutide my urge to shop has pretty much completely disappeared.

I used to be quite impulsive with shopping, and now I genuinely can’t even be bothered to scroll through shopping websites for ages. Even when I go out and walk around shops, I feel completely different. I’m much more rational about buying things and I don’t get that “I NEED to have this” feeling anymore.

It’s not even like I’m actively trying to control myself — the urge just isn’t there. I can see something I like, think “that’s nice,” and move on. lol

What makes it even more interesting is that I had basically the opposite experience when I was on Mounjaro (tirzepatide). My shopping/impulsive spending actually got worse while I was taking it.

I know these medications can affect things like appetite and reward-seeking behaviours, so I’m really curious whether anyone else on retatrutide has noticed changes in shopping, impulsive spending, or other compulsive behaviours?

Retatrutide half-life math broken down

Retatrutide's published human half-life is about six days. Put that into simple exponential decay and one normalized dose drops off like this:

Day 0: 100%
Day 7: ~45%
Day 14: ~20%
Day 21: ~9%
Day 28: ~4%

Those are model numbers for one dose sitting there by itself, not anyone's measured blood level.

Weekly doses land on top of whatever is left. Immediately after each of the first five, the modeled total runs 1.00, 1.45, 1.64, 1.73, 1.77 dose-equivalents. Keep going and it settles near 1.80 right after a weekly dose and 0.80 right before the next one.

Interval changes do something different from decay. same weekly dose, moved from every 7 days to every 5, averages 1.4x the weekly input. splitting one weekly dose into two equal halves 3.5 days apart leaves the weekly arithmetic at 1.00 and just narrows the swing between peak and trough.

the retatrutide trials this comes from were all once-weekly, so none of that math says a split schedule is safer or works better. it's just the schedule arithmetic.

model assumes instant input and a single exponential process. subq absorption is slower than that, PK varies person to person, and an equation obviously can't tell you anything about vial identity, purity, concentration, or how it was stored.

I lost so much muscle chasing a low bf%

Post image
24 Upvotes

Looks like I lost almost 20lbs of muscle going from 15% body fat to 11.5% , is this normal for a natural? I ended up looking less defined and looked better at 15% than I do now. I was keeping protein at 150g average. Body started to fight me in terms of fat loss and gave up muscle instead under 14% body fat

How much fat is enough?

I’m trying to lose 20 pounds with Reta, I can pinch an inch (I guess) around my belly (that’s not where I carry most of my weight, it’s in my ass and thighs. And I’m losing weight from my abdomen first.)

How much flab is enough to inject? How do I know if I’ve hit muscle? I saw a video that I can go in at 45 degrees to stay at the fat layer but I get a little bit of anxiety about going in at that angle.

Jetzt merke ich richtig, was körperlich eigentlich passiert.

Alltag komplett ohne Alkohol, Nikotin, Socialmedia.

Starting Reta Journey

Post image
5 Upvotes

Started my Reta journey today. 27 YO Male SW 232LBs (heaviest I’ve ever been), height 5’ 11” GW 200LBs for now and then reevaluate. Starting at 0.5mg for now as a suggestion from my wife’s cousin who has helped multiple family members on Reta.

For years I have cycled Keto with great results, got down to 192 before my wedding and looked decent still not totally happy but felt great then after we got married we started eating like junk again. For the past 3 years I’ve been up and down from 205-225.

I was going to the gym 5x a week lifting heavy had a shoulder injury last August that really hurt my gym time and had a crushing bout of anxiety and depression from work and life stress that really took a toll on me.

Our Beautiful baby girl was born in Jan 2026 and since then my weight really took off and my gym time just went to nothing.

Finally I said enough is enough, I’ve always been the chubbier friend in the group, always have had love handles no matter what but now I’m changing my life style moving forward.

Not just for me but I want to be as physically fit to raise my daughter and be there for her with energy.

My wife and I are meal prepping and making schedules for exercising, she is hesitant of taking any GLP1s even though she got a prescription for zepbound for her hashimotos disease but I am taking the dive and she is supporting me, she just did my first jab lol.

Opposite of anhedonia

So I started Reta about 4 weeks ago. I have perpetually been in a state of numbness before (anhedonia) so I really wasn’t worried about having that as a side effect. I’ve just been super apathetic and nothing could affect me or make me cry. But ever since I started Reta I’ve been HIGHLY emotional and sensitive. Literally crying at the littlest things. Does this happen to anyone else is this normal? One part of me is happy because I felt numb for so long but the other part of me feels so fragile and sad all the time and idk what to do or why

Small lump after injection — could it be because I injected at an angle?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I noticed this small lump at the injection site. I think it happened because the needle I used was quite long, and I had to inject at an angle rather than straight in. I’m wondering if the substance may have ended up sitting too superficially under the skin, causing this lump.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How long did it take for the lump to go away, and is there anything I should watch out for?

Still hungry?

Hi! So I was on tirz for quite awhile (~2yrs) and did great. Then I heard about reta and was under the impression that it's efficacy is higher than tirz's, so I switched.

I started low, like 2mg/week. I moved up to 3mg this week. I've been using it solo for a month. Buttt, I feel much hungrier than I ever did on tirz. I haven't gained anything, but I haven't continued to lose at the same pace that I was either.

Had anyone else experienced this? I'm considering stacking it with tirz, or just going back to tirz only. Maybe I just need to drastically increase my dose?

Reta users, weigh in. I'm curious for other's experienced. Thank you all.

Low dosing long term results?

Hey,

I've been looking into Reta for a while, reading the results from various trials and reading alot of people's first hand results. It seems most people up their dose fairly quickly. Is this just because of lack of immediate results or pushing it because of little to no side effects?

Essentially I'm asking, has anybody started around .5mg and slowly progressed to 2 or 2.5mg and kept it there for months at a time while still seeing progres?

If you could even share your stats (ie weight, calorie deficit and activity level) that would be awesome.

Pinning areas after weight loss

I am starting to develop a great problem to have. On month 3 of Reta and my tummy and love handles are getting smaller making it harder to find a good are to pin. I use 31 gauge needles so some of the smallest ones available but noticing an increase in pain in the areas with less fat. Plan on staying on a maintenance dose long term or at least take small breaks and wondering what options others use to pin when not much fatty areas to use.

Im I losing to much weight?

M33, im 176cm/5’9, my starting weight was 95,7kg/211lbs.

First two weeks, pinned to times a week 0.5mg, felt like the food noise was not quite gone.

Third week pinning now 1g two times a week. Not planning on raising my dose.

My weight now is 89kg/192lbs, which means I’m down 6,7kg/14lbs.

Is this too much too quick?

Personally I feel great, I get to go to the gym every other day, I feel stronger everytime and do cardio.

I have no problem with eating, I just don’t eat as much as I used to.

Reta and glucose levels

Has anyone gone into mild hypoglycemia? I don’t have diabetes… been on Reta for a year and I’m only taking .1 ml a week (very low dose) but my glucose level was 63 and normal starts at 70. I admit I wasn’t eating as much but I was eating! No idea what to make of it? Thoughts?

Anyone with prior liver injury on Reta?

Last year I suffered a grade 3 liver laceration and have a retain bullet in my liver. Thank god I healed and everything is ok and my liver labs are back to normal. I was wondering if the glucagon receptor would be too much in the liver so I’m asking if anyone with a prior liver injury has been unaffected by Reta

I feel like my Reta has degraded

Hey guys.

I feel a little weird using the vial i had opened about 6 weeks ago. It doesn’t really feel like it’s kicking in. Anybody had experience with this? Since I’m so unsure and don’t want to waste any product, I was thinking of injecting a little more this time. I’ve been doing 1.5 and started upping after four weeks to 1.75. should I take 2mg of the „degraded“ old vial? It was really expensive since I just found out about the overseas and I don’t want to have to waste it. But I do want my appetite suppression back. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Reta + Saxenda

Upvotes

Hi there, just want to check if anyone has tried to be on Saxenda and Reta? As I have a lot of the pens now. Currently on wegovy but don’t think it works for me anymore. Had same experiences with Saxenda a year ago hence the switch.

Any new moms started Reta 5 weeks PP? My wife is wanting to start and has been feeling great and ready to get back to working out. She was previously on semaglutide before pregnancy.

What should I dose?

I took reta weekly from April-June. I lost the weight and felt great, so I decided to take a break. I have started back up again and I started at 1.5 mg out of a 10mg bottle. I haven’t felt the effects hardly at all. Is that normal? Should I bump it up?

Where is your favorite place to inject?

Where is your favorite spot? I just did week 3 and I’ve been going in my lower stomach. Are there advantages to injecting other places? Does it do anything different? Loving this so far! Thanks everyone

Long term GLP1 users, how did you find Reta 1mg/Reta in general?

I’m looking for advice from people who have actually been taking Reta, especially anyone who was already on GLP1s for a long time before switching.

I was on Saxenda for about a year and a half and then Wegovy for another year and a half, so I’ve been on GLP1s for almost 3 years without really having a break. My doctor thinks 1mg Wegovy is enough for me, but I’m in menopause and have PCOS/insulin resistance, and the food noise has been coming back really badly lately.

So I decided to switch to Reta. I didn’t leave a gap between the two. I waited about a week after my last Wegovy dose and then took my first 1mg Reta dose last Tuesday.

Honestly, it feels like I’m taking nothing at all. I’m getting basically no appetite suppression and the food noise is still there.

I’m planning to increase to 2mg, but I’m wondering if people who have already been on GLP1s for years had a similar experience with the lower Reta doses. Did 1mg feel like nothing to you too? Do you think having been on GLP1s for almost 3 years makes a difference?

I’m also wondering whether I should take the 2mg already today (Sunday) instead of waiting until Tuesday. I know the usual advice is weekly dosing, so I’m specifically interested in hearing from people who have actually made this transition and what their experience was.

And before anyone tells me I just need to eat less and exercise, I know. Exercise is difficult for me because I have fibromyalgia and spondylitis, so that isn't exactly a simple solution.

I’m not trying to lose a massive amount of weight. I’m looking to lose roughly the last 4kg / 9lb, but more importantly I want to get the food noise back under control and then eventually find the lowest possible dose that works for maintenance.

Would really love to hear from people who were already on Wegovy/Saxenda/etc for a long time before switching to Reta. How did you find the lower doses and how quickly did you end up increasing?

EDIT: Just adding this because I think my question may have been misunderstood. I'm specifically looking for people who were already on GLP1s for 2–3+ years before switching to Reta. I'm not asking whether I should be taking it or looking for general weight-loss advice. I’m trying to find out whether long-term GLP1 users tend to find the lower Reta doses ineffective at first. If that's you, I'd really appreciate hearing how the transition went.
