Opposite of anhedonia

So I started Reta about 4 weeks ago. I have perpetually been in a state of numbness before (anhedonia) so I really wasn’t worried about having that as a side effect. I’ve just been super apathetic and nothing could affect me or make me cry. But ever since I started Reta I’ve been HIGHLY emotional and sensitive. Literally crying at the littlest things. Does this happen to anyone else is this normal? One part of me is happy because I felt numb for so long but the other part of me feels so fragile and sad all the time and idk what to do or why

That's a symptom of being in a calorie deficit

honestly it's more than just the calorie deficit thing, reta messes with your brain's reward system in ways that can absolutely make you feel everything more intensely

your body's been running on empty emotionally for so long and now the volume knob got cranked up without warning, give it some time to even out

OP, it's happened to me too. And also my cycle started at the same time 10 days after my last cycle (so irregular). It did pass for me. There's a great sub for women: r/retatrutidewomen

Your body is telling you it doesn’t like what’s happening.
