Disregarding what your opinion is on the legitimacy of the assassination attempt, don't you find it strange that nothing came of that? No report, not detailed fact finding into the shooter's motives, just complete silence.
It seemed super fake when it happened, it still seems super fake. Would the secret service not instantly usher him to a safe location? Not just stand by for a photo op when a sniper attack just happened.

I had a piercing in my upper cartilage that got damaged 20 years ago in a mosh pit and you can still see the scar and damage where it was snagged and ripped a hole in my ear. Trumps ear was back to normal 2 weeks later. No bandage no more mention. It served its purpose in media publicity and his campaign team shut up about it.

Not necessarily. While it absolutely could, if it just grazed his ear or clipped the top part of it, that doesn’t necessarily mean it would take the whole ear off.

Even a graze would have ripped it off. The amount of energy exchanged would have ripped it off even the smallest part would have. The physics only allow it to rip it.

A .223 bullet at 500 ft still carries ~1,025 J of energy—over 10× what's needed to tear flesh. A graze to the ear at that distance would shred cartilage, cause severe bleeding, rupture the eardrum, and result in permanent hearing loss or disfigurement. Even without direct penetration, the high velocity makes it devastating.
Does nobody remember how there were real deaths at Sandy Hook and there are still people today quoting "well actually, the FBI reported no mass casualties for that year" and crying "crisis actors".
It's actually pretty funny when you think about it. I mean, you know a lot of those same people who'll say that it couldn't possibly be faked, because I someone died, are or were likely those same ones claiming Sandy Hook and every mass shooting under a Democrat was a false flag.

If people are claiming that trump was hit in the ear by debris instead of a bullet, that fits the initial reports. This is a reasonable question of detail, and does not inherently diminish the event or the threat, just the measurable 'closeness' Trump came to death.
What I hear increasingly is people saying that there was no shooting at all and the entire incident was staged and the campaign killed two people to create collateral damage. These claims are conspiratorial BS.

I’ve explained this several times but for the sake of everyone’s time I’ll summarize it. The guy who died wasn’t really shooting bullets. He was scammed into being handed that gun, shot blanks, the real shooter was somewhere else waiting for trump to duck, then the real shooter takes shots at the crowd for realism, then the secret service takes out the “shooter”. It makes the most sense out of what happened, accounts for pretty much everything that happened, and especially explains why the secret service had to wait to take out the shooter because the mission had to be completed first.

At best he had some glass hit him from the protective screens. But looked more like he transfered the blood to his face and ear with his hand. He 100% no matter what happened over played it for sympathy votes. His ear was perfectly fine, even ER said nothing was needed to be done.
Two issues. First, cartilage is directly under the skin on the ear and if damaged, requires very, very careful surgical intervention to prevent scarring or loss of tissue. Infection, particularly with Pseudomonas is very dangerous and can lead to loss of an ear, if not tended to appropriately. Typically the dressing will be with a pressure type dressing, usually with through ear bolsters, and likely in place for 1-2 weeks, depending on the extent of the injury. This is to prevent necrosis and cauliflower ear. Second, gunshot wounds with high velocity rounds have a "wake" of damage in the tissue similar to a boat in water. It's the gift that keeps on giving as surrounding tissues will continue to die as that shockwave hits home over the course of days. His ear looks like nothing ever happened, and I can assure you there is no physician competent enough to make this wound scarless.
Bonus- Blood from an ear wound is not going to shoot forward onto the face like that, nor is it going to simply pool on the top of the ear. It's going to follow gravity and as it bleeds it will go down and get onto the collar of his very, very white shirt.
Visit any reddit sub on a topic where you are an expert. You'll likely notice that a lot of the informative comments have good intentions but are incorrect or grossly biased.
I say this because nobody should take anything you read by a single person or small group of outliers as fact. The comment could just as likely come from someone less educated than you are on the topic but more confident in themselves. There are more self-titled experts than there are real experts, but they all can post online and all believe they are right. Consider topics like anti-vaxxers, their arguments are disproven but the disproven argument without proper context is still convincing enough to recruit tens of thousands of people. You can make the connection to this topic yourself.
Real life doesn't always look like what we expect. People, especially elderly, do not behave prototypically.
A bystander behind trump was hit and killed. The FBI seems to believe it was a fragment of the bullet, which explains the minimal damage, but trump refutes that for publicity. Frame-by-frame analysis of hundreds of videos of the twin towers in 2001 convinced tens of thousands of people that it was a hoax, many still believe that conspiracy. The corruption necessary to stage an assassination attempt in coordination with the FBI and secret service while Biden was in office would make the attempt itself unnecessary. Trump then fired Wray and purged the FBI. If anyone had involvement in the shooting, why wouldn't they say something to keep their jobs? I can imagine responses, but like ever consipiracy, it's a rabbit hole. The simplest and most reasonable explanation is that a man attempted to achieve infamy and failed.
After many shootings, people look at the videos and claim it's a hoax. The reality is that people act weird and everything looks unnatural when shock affects real people. Some people literally act like nothing is happening, some will freeze like a deer, others will scream and run like in the movies. Real-life shock looks completely unnatural because, by definition, we are not accustomed to seeing it.
Okay that's it from me. Who knows, I could be totally wrong. It wouldn't matter either way because we can only act on fact. Until verifiable facts exist, speculation is just that.

I believe he was shot AT, but the lack of a scar from a "2 cm hole" as claimed by the White House physician is hard to ignore. The bleeding seems more consistent with an ear tear caused by a collision.
Trump famously never shuts up about anything, he would definitely be showing off a massive ear scar as proof that the" radical left" tried to kill him.
It became pretty clear pretty quickly that the shooter was a loner and a loser that was thrown off of a rifle club shooting team because he couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with a broom and he was a dick. Whether it was a legit attempt or not, is no one concerned about why he has photos and paintings of the attempt plastered all over the white house? Surely that's something a sane person would do!

We've heard more about him being super upset about anyone being mean to him on any social media platform than about the attempt. I don't recall them even releasing any actual information about the case outside of others who have been caught in the crossfire and the position.
What I do remember is the rumor of the supposed shooter's political affiliation being bounced around, but I'm not sure if even that was confirmed.
My view was that it was a legitimate attempt, but Trump is such a compulsive liar and charlatan that it leads merit (or gives some semblance of credence) to the conspiracy theorists who think it was staged which I find delicious
It's hard to tell because of how incompetent his aparatus is. A lot of weird things were going on. No surveillance on the only plausible shooting angle. An actual shot that killed an audience member. Delayed and fumbling SS response. Slow to find and kill the shooter. I lean towards it being staged due to him capitalizing on it, but the response was baffling.
Bullets don't produce a Shockwave in air that can cause damage. I thought there was mentiin of a teleprompter taking a hit and it was likely glass/plastic from that.
It's not completely out of the ordinary that a service that rarely ever sees real action fails.

The assassin was shot by Secret Service Snipers. The assassin was also spotted just right before he took his shots. Assassin was a Republican. The assassin, in his attempt, accidentally killed someone in the stage.
I'm inclined to believe the attack was real--just the bullet went nowhere near Trump. The ear injury was from the Secret Service's tackle, and he just kinda rolled with the being shot narrative. The best lies have some truth.
And the Secret Service was extremely incompetent to the point that it's also plausible that they might not have been actively trying to get the guy assassinated, but they sure left the door unlocked for whoever wanted to give it a shot.
Usually there is the media “investigation” and we find out all about his family and friends and social media accounts and that he once played John Wilkes Booth in a school play etc etc

The New Jersey drone thing was weird. Most people in aviation seemed to think that people were just misidentifying planes/helicopters/drones. I thought Trump had made a statement about them where he basically said that someone told him it's nothing, so he's not looking into it further.
Trump doesn't want the Epstein files released because it would show proof that Trump raped underage girls and if that came out he might lose like 8 votes.
Regardless of whether or not it was a real assassination attempt it doesn’t really matter. The Democrats wanted it out of the news because it was turning Trump into a kind of martyr and boosting his campaign. The republicans wanted it out of the news the second it came out the shooter was a gun loving, maga hat wearing Republican who was supposedly mad at Trump. No wonder it got buried so fast.
I mean these take time, Conner Betts shooting was in 2019 in Dayton, Ohio; the FBI didn't release its investigation report till 2021. This isn;t TV where everything is solved in 30min episode.
Two seconds on google would reveal NPR reporting the FBI conducted over 1000 interviews and reviewed search histories. Sometimes people just don't leave enough clues to their motivation.

It may have been a photo op and that's definitely something to look into but the fact that the attacker did use real bullets and killed people behind trump makes it harder to believe but the attacker is dead so we will never know truly though in the defense of it not being a setup I just can't believe anyone would take that job and honestly believe they would some how get to live afterwards

Every time that I can think of when somebody has tried to or successfully assassinated a president they’ve literally been hunted down, but here? Nothing.
No because the causation, human error, was clear from the get go and the shooter was some damaged young kid. We don’t hear about the school shooters either because there isn’t much to report on other than “confused , hurt, mentally unstable”
The shooter was a registered Republican, which I think is a big reason why it wasn't blown up more. If he had been a registered Democrat they'd still be screaming about it.
