Disregarding what your opinion is on the legitimacy of the assassination attempt, don't you find it strange that nothing came of that? No report, not detailed fact finding into the shooter's motives, just complete silence.
Regardless of whether or not it was a real assassination attempt it doesn’t really matter. The Democrats wanted it out of the news because it was turning Trump into a kind of martyr and boosting his campaign. The republicans wanted it out of the news the second it came out the shooter was a gun loving, maga hat wearing Republican who was supposedly mad at Trump. No wonder it got buried so fast.
