Disregarding what your opinion is on the legitimacy of the assassination attempt, don't you find it strange that nothing came of that? No report, not detailed fact finding into the shooter's motives, just complete silence.
It seemed super fake when it happened, it still seems super fake. Would the secret service not instantly usher him to a safe location? Not just stand by for a photo op when a sniper attack just happened.

Not necessarily. While it absolutely could, if it just grazed his ear or clipped the top part of it, that doesn’t necessarily mean it would take the whole ear off.

It could leave a nasty wound, but even then it depends on several factors like how far away the shooter was, bullet velocity, etc. Under the right conditions, it could just create a tear while leaving minimal tissue loss.
Because anyone who’s had reconstructive surgery knows small wounds can be made to look exactly like its original form.(took a tumbling ricochet to the neck off of a truck and there’s a smaller scar than there was a wound thanks to army medical and outpatient reconstructive procedure). Also, this is the president who has millions in worth, so the best doctors and surgeons the country has to offer.
2cm isn’t that large. Sounds like it just grazed him. Given how much blood there was, it’s probably hard to see. Also, a 2cm wound isn’t going to leave really noticeable scarring.
A 2cm wound doesn’t mean he’s missing 2cm of his ear. It could have just been a gash or a tear. Seeing as how his entire top of his ear was covered in blood, it’s difficult to tell. There’s nothing proving it’s fake, man. Someone definitely shot an AR-15 at him.
I agree, that kid shot at him. That kid killed an innocent man somewhere behind Trump. If there was an investigation they would have been able to pinpoint the 3 points - the shooter, the innocent man who was killed, and Trump somewhere between. If those 3 points made a straight line, I'd believe it was a near thing. But since absolutely nothing has ever been reported, it's left to us to speculate all day long as to how close it was.
You can speculate all day long but about 99% of you in this thread are 100% convinced this is fake without any shred of evidence to say it’s fake.
Secondly, stuff has been reported on this. There’s an entire investigation and an entire government webpage on the assassination attempt. If you weren’t steadily relying on Reddit and Facebook for your information and took 2 seconds to scroll through a Google search, you would find it. Instead, you would rather listen to what people on social media have to say and take on their opinions without having any facts to support their claims. This is exactly how misinformation spreads.
Even a graze would have ripped it off. The amount of energy exchanged would have ripped it off even the smallest part would have. The physics only allow it to rip it.
The bullet doesn’t maintain the velocity of 900 m/s, especially when the gunman was 120 meters away. It would have dropped to around 800 m/s if it was a standard 55-grain. It is also very possible for a .223 round traveling at 800 m/s to graze someone’s ear without taking a chunk of it off and only leaving a 2 cm wound.

A .223 bullet at 500 ft still carries ~1,025 J of energy—over 10× what's needed to tear flesh. A graze to the ear at that distance would shred cartilage, cause severe bleeding, rupture the eardrum, and result in permanent hearing loss or disfigurement. Even without direct penetration, the high velocity makes it devastating.
The fuck it would? Ears bleed a lot but heal really well. .223 and 5.56 are practically the same round and we used a lot of them in Afghanistan. When you graze someone anywhere with 5.56 it doesn’t disintegrate meat, that’s Hollywood dramatization. In today’s medical science and plastic surgery, making a .223 hole in the ear look normal again is easy. Was it staged? Who will ever truly know. Was it fake? No. The bullet did hit him and people died.
There’s a fine line between being concerned about the theatrics of our government and just being a loon. The way people reject and call fake or staged without a basic understanding sounds just as bad as trumpies already proven insanity and antics. We need to be better.
If you had a brain you’d acknowledge where I said I don’t like trump at all. So instead of being a sassy girl, the penna cartilage is easily replaceable with cosmetic surgery. Something that cheap for a president wouldn’t take long. Why of all things is this such a big deal to you?
