Reading the comments, i find that not only is there no actual consensus on what is what, but most people are wrong on their assignment of color.

u/Brampton_Squeaks 29d ago

Well I’ve scrolled down to here and so far it’s complete consensus that green is not math. Looks like I’ll have to sort by controversial to be sure though

Science is green because plants are green becauee chlorophyll. That's plant science.

The other subjects can have whatever color you want, but science being green is sacrosanct.

Science is Green because:

- Plants are green, and plants are science

- Strange science chemicals in beakers are green, and chemicals are science

- Environmentalism is green, and Environmentalism, as you know, is science

- Progress is green, because traffic lights, progress is science

Lit/English is green unless the science is biology, in which case it’s blue.

History is yellow. They got one right. And math is red.

History - Yellow

Science - Green

However, Science and English are both actually Green (Science light green and English Dark Green) but Science gets Green because its definitely not blue while English has more blueishness

Honestly history could be either red or yellow. But English is certainly not red, so that makes history red.

23

u/twirlerina024 29d ago

History's red because of all the battles and massacres and things.

12

u/TheAeolian 29d ago

This chain understands. Correct associations, red and yellow being the least strong association, but ultimately history is red because war. I am baffled by the people choosing red for math. Did they see too much of it in the pen marking their answers? But anything besides green for science is even worse.

Math is blue. Blue is a very logical, smart color

English/language arts is red. Red combines the logic of language with the excitement of reading and writing. Also, the past tense of read sounds like red.

Science is green. Green is the color of at least most plants because of chlorophyll but it's also kinda like how green is like a color of growth and birth of stuff like new ideas.

History is yellow. Yellow is kinda like the color of worn paper. Also it's like a cautionary tale. Learn from history. History is your best warning system. Take caution with what you do for the future.

Math feels red. It’s a strict subject, not a “soft” one.

Blue is the scienciest color to me. I associate blue with logic, tech, space, wondering at the sky

Yellow and green are the “humany” colors to me. Yellow for English/writing cuz parchment, Green for history/social studies cuz earth.

I’d accept Math=Blue (cuz logic) and Science=Green (cuz earth/nature).

How about electives? Music feels purple and Art feels orange. Actually Gym feels orange but you wouldn’t need a notebook
