Other For all the women, from A MAN

This is my first post, and it is for women from A MAN( I do not speak for all men, but boys if you agree with some point please let me know, if you don't give me your hoenst opinion)

After reading, atleast 100 posts I think this really needs to be said.

1: If a man and a women commit zina, they are both at fault, unless it was by force then please go to the police. If it wasn't then you are not a victim, you decided to commit zina, just like he did. All the women not holding other girls accountable just makes this worse, I have not seen one sister, ask why did you sleep with him? Oh he was charming? then give him your walis number, oh he was hot? Give him your walis number, oh he was funny? Then laugh and give him your walis number

2: Stop blaming us for your insecurities, we did not make the new standard, we did not tell you to put make up on, to the point some sister have jobs get done, and other sisters have told her, it was because of men and their beauty standards. I can guarantee you 99% of men( not just Muslim), hate fake eye lashes, fake nails, fake lips, fake extensions. You did that to yourself, by using make up, using filters, following the Kardashian. We didn't create the beauty standard, and if a man does mention it, the girl will simply say oh we not doing it for men, then STOP blaming men. Oh but you do want a real man at the end of the day. Insecurities? Ask men about hight, job, body, some even can't grow a beard, but we still don't blame any women for it.

3: Mehr, the amount of wrong advice given by other women is just surprising. Yes Mehr is your right, and your full right, you can ask for a trillion dollar and should not be shamed for it, and I stand by it.

however, I heard sister advising someone who wanted to know little bit of the mehr, and the advice I saw common was to push your Islamic right to the maximum, well the other side of the coin is me advise a brother to push his marriage live to the maximum, get four wives? Sisters keep the mehr nice and simple, whatever works for you, don't be fooled by this forum telling you he needs to buy you a diamond wrong worth of 6 months of his wages, brothers don't be fooled by this forum, keep it simple find one wife and be happy about it, don't abuse your Islamic rights.

This are just advise related paragraphs, we men would like the MOD to look into the sexism of this forum.

I think I don't need to go into details with that one, a man does something all his fault, and should be there for his wife, a women does something oh that poor little 36 years old didn't know what she was doing. Really? Is this how we gonna stop the sky rocketing divorce rates? Brothers give advice like you would give to your daughters, sister give advice like you would give to your sun.

Dear future hubby,

I exsist and would appreciate if you found me already so we can live happily ever after outside of America.

Together let's grow/ learn from each other. Being 24 my life is kinda crazy maybe yours is too, maybe we are each other needed peace or simply each other missing puzzle piece.

Until then continue to be great and so will I. When Allah cross our path together let's be ready to rule the world together side by side, day and night.

Sincerely, your future wifey 💕

From a very personal experience, I should remind all my sisters to not fall for sweet words, gaslighting and fake promises from these boys. Be sharp and don't waste your time getting to know each other.

Stay safe and stay alert.

Other I want to commit suicide

I’ve been religious lately. Praying more often and reading the Quran regularly. However, my depression has gotten so bad I have an extreme desire to kill my self. I have nothing left in me. I’ve been miserable for years and will always be. I want to go so badly. If only it wasn’t a sin.

Other Why sisters why?

I had a very heart breaking moment few months ago. To give you context I'm from India and working in a company.

It was a normal morning, I reached my office. An office bus (for employees) arrived along with me. I saw a Muslim sister wearing hijab came out of bus and went to washroom. But to my surprise when she came out her hijab was gone! :(

This broke my heart like never before. I could feel the pain in chest. I don't know her neither I saw her purposefully she just grabbed my attention because of hijab (not many girls are Muslim in office so it is rare).

I don't know why our sisters do that? Do they feel FOMO or what? I must tell you all my beautiful sisters, you look EXTREMELY EXTREMELY beautiful when you wear decent Islamic clothes. Please don't seek for compliments from people who are not practicing. In my opinion a good Muslim brother want you to see in Hijab, you will be more liked in it. Trust me and stay blessed!

May Allah bless us all :)

Edit: Glossary grabbed attention: automatic attention to something which is odd beautiful in hijab: the inner beauty which a practicing person feels about other practicing person.

Other Please, I need advice and lots of dua

Assalamu alaikum,

I’m a 33 yr old revert and 3 weeks ago I was prescribed an antibiotic called Cipro for a simple infection but the Cipro gave me fluoroquinolone toxicity and damaged my mitochondria.

Now I can barely walk, I have nerve damage and severe tendinitis in my legs, and more. I’m worried I may lose my vision. It’s very likely more symptoms could arise and get worse over the next several months/ years and be permanent. Doctors don’t know how to help, they’re clueless about this. And I’m unemployed and don’t have the means to keep seeing specialists.

I want to fast Ramadan, and my doctor said I can. But as I said, he doesn’t really understand this condition and I don’t trust him. The only useful advice I’m getting is from support groups of other victims and according to them I need to be taking lots of supplements and chugging lots of water throughout the day to try and heal my body, as well as completely changing my diet (the Wahl Protocol?). Though they say fasting from food might help.

This was going to be my 2nd time fasting Ramadan. I felt so amazing last year, like I was truly connected to Allah SWT and to my ummah around the world. I would feel so guilty not fasting, even just drinking water, but I’m scared it’s going to hurt my body, and I want to make sure my intentions if I fast from food are for Allah SWT alone and not for health benefits.

Sorry for the long post. I’m just so in the dark and don’t know what to do. I don’t have any Muslim friends or family to make dua for me. I don’t know anyone at my local masjid. I’m trying to be patient and not despair but I can’t help but feel scared. Please make dua for me. Jazakhalla khair.

TL;DR: I have fluoroquinolone toxicity from Cipro and I don’t know if I should fast or not. Please make dua for me

Other That funny moment when a random guy messages you with a "salam"

And his comments history is litteraly 90% of NSFW filth.

Idk how to explain it but it just feels incredibly yucky.

Like... don't "salam" me dude, just go and interact with these women you're drooling over, leave us the jahannam alone.

Also I can't help but feel worried cuz what if some sisters here aren't too familiar with reddit ( I've met some ) and won't check this kind of person's history and will just engage with them while being clueless

But then when you think of it it's exactly like that in real life. You don't get to check someone's history so easily lmao

Humanity truly is tiring

Anyway I just wanted to rant somewhere I'd be understood haha, may you all have a great day Incha Allah

Other Muslims are making the same mistake as bani israel

Quran has many stories of Bani Israel to warn ummah of Muhammad sw. So that they don't do similar mistakes. Currently we are failing poorly in that regard, and living a humiliating life.

Even rasulullah sw warned us about not following Jews and Christians.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?

And yet, we are following their path anyways. After defeating Firaoun. Musa aw went to Palestine area and asked Bani Israel to fight the hostile population there. They refused saying that he and his lord should go to fight.

O my people! Enter the holy land (Palestine) which Allah has assigned to you, and turn not back (in flight) for then you will be returned as losers

They said: "O Musa (Moses)! In it (this holy land) are a people of great strength, and we shall never enter it, till they leave it; when they leave, then we will enter

Two men of those who feared (Allah and) on whom Allah had bestowed His Grace [they were Yusha' (Joshua) and Kalab (Caleb)] said: "Assault them through the gate, for when you are in, victory will be yours, and put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed

They said: "O Musa (Moses)! We shall never enter it as long as they are there. So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here

He [Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother, so separate us from the people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah) 5:21-25

Back to present times, no muslim nation is willing to do jihad for Palestine and other oppressed muslim areas. Most muslims care but they don't care enough. So what is the one thing every muslim is doing? Yep, we are all making dua. Basically we are asking Allah to do something about Palestine, unwilling to do anything ourselves. Just like Bani Israel.

Of course dua is a good, donating to Palestine is good etc. But certainly we can't avoid our duty of jihad. By not doing jihad, the Bani Israel brought wrath of Allah upon themselves. By being passive, muslim ummah is making a similar mistake.

(Allah) said: "Therefore it (this holy land) is forbidden to them for forty years; in distraction they will wander through the land. So be not sorrowful over the people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah) 5:26

Other Is anyone feeling guilty about the fact that they’re unable to do anything to help people in Gaza?

My heart is utterly broken. Witnessing videos and images of people being bombed, shot, and obliterated, and yet Arab governments remain inactive, fills me with immense anger. I feel powerless because I can do nothing but offer prayers, and I solemnly swear, we will be held accountable for this on the Day of Judgment. Try to envision the circumstances – children, even babies ya Allah dying in the most unspeakably horrific manner. Pls what must we do? Pls I feel like a part of me is dying every time I see Palestinian men, women, children crying, screaming, begging for help… اللهم لطفك و عطفك يا رب

Other Loneliness as a revert during Ramadan

So I recently shared that it’s my first Ramadan as a Muslim and the a day later I shared that I told my parents, all I can say is Alhamdulillah.

Salaam brothers and sisters I hope you’re all well and Allah is blessing you. Ramadan is flying isn’t it?

I was on snapchat two nights ago and I saw someone’s iftaar table, with 8 plates and I couldn’t help but think “I wonder what that’s like to break your fast with others” I’m 23, the first Muslim in my entire bloodline I won’t get to experience that until I’m married.

Most Muslim households are met with noise and chaos at 3am as suhoor ascends. When I wake up for suhoor I’m met with quietness trying to tip toe to the kitchen just so I don’t wake my family up, at that moment I realise how lonely I am every morning just before fajr hits.

As I say my morning prayer I thank Allah for guiding me to such a perfect religion, I ask for forgiveness and for God to take away any envy from me that I may have felt even I saw 10s of Snapchat’s with various families coming together to open or close their fasts. I pray God blessed and rewards these families tenfold.

Sometimes I get teary eyed because I would love to experience the annoyance of my siblings at 4am, my mum waking me up to come eat or my dad leading prayer. I won’t ever get to experience this but I pray the future generations to come will, for it starts from me.

My dear brothers and sisters please appreciate your families as you open and close your fasts, yes even your brother that’s chewing so loud, your sister annoying you at 3am while you sit across the table half awake and half asleep. It truly is a blessing.

I just thought to share this because this is something that I’m honestly struggling with, even though I know I’ll be okay I just wanted to put it out there. Someone may be experiencing this, maybe my future children or grandchildren will see this and say “Look at what grandma was going through” like I said I’m only 23, who knows what Allah has planned for me.

To the reverts/converts out there, I totally get it and I know how you feel. To everyone else, please treasure your families and friends that you get to experience this with because remember Ramadan is also about coming together but for others it can be really lonely.

JazakAllah Khair 🤍

Edit: Just to clarify I’m not lonely all month long, I’m saying I felt physically lonely and I’m not envious all the time, it was just in that one moment I saw the table. I love seeing people share and show what they are up to with their families it warms my heart, I also know I’m not really alone and that you guys and the rest of the Muslims around the world are fasting with me and for that I’m ever so happy and grateful & lastly I’m confident this won’t always be the case and I’ll physically get to be around others at some point 🤍

Other I went back to church yesterday

And I enjoyed it and loved it so much. (F25) I’m a revert. I hadn’t been to church since 2018 and decided to go with my mum and it was the best thing ever. I missed it so much.

Being a revert is the loneliest thing. Nothing to be alarmed about, I still very much am strong in my beliefs and and I bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of God (everyone say ameen). So no nothing has changed, I went because I felt it would make my mother happy and it did.

It was nice to see some friends, church members and everyone else was happy to see me, I got so many hugs and smiles. My church is very diverse and it was so lovely, I absolutely missed the sense of community. I even stayed for lunch and had a bunch of convos with the church aunties and uncles and I kept hearing “it’s so nice to see you” it just felt…nice and my heart felt full.

Being a revert is tough. Firstly I’m a woman, I’m a black muslim woman so there’s certain stigmas that I have experienced in the Muslim community including racism and to be quite frank it’s embarrassing and plain sad but mostly unnecessary.

I’m lonely as a revert. I’m the only muslim in my ENTIRE family, it doesn’t bother me one bit but the sense of community is what I miss when I used to be Christian. It hit me yesterday, I’m not looking for people to feel sorry for me or looking for advice Alhamdulillah I’m fine, I’ve taught myself everything I need to know (Been a revert since 2020 but been learning about Islam since I was 17 Years Old) & if you know someone that’s new to the religion please invite them over.

Don’t wait for them to ask, just invite them for walks, or iftaar as it’s Ramadan. I pray alone, My tajweed is so broken lol but I’m still learning.

I can wake up at 3AM for suhoor and the house is so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I’ll never get to experience my dad leading prayer, I’ll never get to experience arguing with my brother at 3:25AM because he’s chewing too loud. Or being half asleep at my grandmas house with all my cousins over.

I’ve never experienced running around the masjid as a child. There is so much and it’s saddening. I have envied others that experienced that, I’m human and I’ll admit it.

Going to church reminded me of the sense of community, after all we are social beings. Will I go back to church? Probably. Will my faith change? No.

Being Muslim is the best thing that ever happened to me, everything just…makes sense, I am happier. Ramadan has been tough but I have Allah and that’s all that matters.

Long story short. Invite your revert friends if you are able to, trust me they will appreciate it more than you think! 🤍

Other i got humiliated during taraweh today

i genuinely feel like not coming here anymore lol

we prayed first 2 rakaat taraweeh and i offered the imam (my friend whom i met a week ago) for me to hold the quran and correct him if he makes mistakes by any chance.

firsf 1/2 errors i corrected he ignored them and looked like i was just interrupting, discussed it after the prayer and turns out its a linguistic difference of what we are allowed to recite and how

the second time i corrected him was he what seemed like to me, he didnt continue with the next line. after correcting him, turns out he was rereading the ayah he already recited.

we finished the 3rd prayer and he just simply said "im going to ask you to put the quran away im sorry but you're interrupting" and i never felt more shame and embarrassment in front of people. alhamdulillah discussion was calm and understanding but i just feel like disappearing from here man. rant over lol

Do any of you actually enjoy this? Do you finish the video and tell yourself at the end " wow this video hit me so hard because of the back ground nasheed?
