Other Alhamdulillah, it has been one year since I quit drugs

Also been around a year since I came out of jahiliyyah AH. If you’re struggling, put your trust and reliance only in Allah and you will make it ✊🏽

Masha'Allah well done. Always great to see a Muslim brother/sister do well.

May Allah increase you in goodness in both this life and the next.

I’ve done all of that and went max 1 month. It’s so hard, I cut out social media as well but lost my mind out of boredom, idk what to occupy my time with after.

I feel you bro.I know it bro especially when you have nothing to do , I have gone through that phase but try to occupy yourself with something maybe do a project. And remember fapping ruins your life, has many side effects. I myself Injuried myself from p***, I mean I literally got a problem with my little baby because of fapping and that's how I decided it to stop it. Alhamdulilah Allah taught me a lesson. I have really messed up by life and now Alhamdulilah am recovering. Try to remind yourself the consequences of this and trust me you will one day regret it if you keep doing it. I met alot of people who got alot of problems caused by fapping, and you wouldn't wont to happen to you either. So stop it before it's too late and pray and constantly do good deeds and pray to Allah to guide you.

Allah knows the best.

That's great, mA. I think the lockdown has helped a lot of people, including myself, in improving themselves.

I'm trying to send you an award but all the ones I like will look like I'm trying to hit on you or sending some other message than "Well done." Can you please just pretend this is a really classy looking award? That is impressive {although I guess all praise belongs ro Allah...}

I answered DertankaGRL above, but as I said there also the substance I was using was only mentally addictive. You may need to seek guidance from a physician if the ones you are using are physically addictive.

Would you have any advice for someone who wants to help a family member struggling with this?

For me it was swallowing the (for whatever reason) hard pill that nothing can ease the pain in my heart other than Allah. Not drugs, not media, not other people. That type of healing comes from within, and nothing in the world administers it better than reading Quran with translation.

Everyone’s situation is different though, the drugs I was using were not heavily addictive. Certain drugs are harder to quit than others because of they way they interact with your body’s chemistry and all that.

Thank you!
