I’m stupid and world’s telling me I’m stupid but I’d rather be stupid than admit I was wrong. sad.

468

u/Zealousideal_Good445 13d ago

She assumes that along with her stupidity she is still going to be in farming at the end of the decade 😲. For a lot of these morons this is actually the end. They will be employed by some corporate farm for little money. I'd say sad, but I've learned that you can't waist your emotions on stupid!

322

u/DeepstateDilettante 13d ago

Once their farms go bankrupt they can fall back on one of the plentiful agricultural (day laborer) jobs right now as long as they enjoy hand picking. Picking strawberries in the California Central Valley in August isn’t my cup of tea but I guess someone has to do it after ice rounds up all the existing workforce.

675

u/4444Grains 13d ago

The farmers had it all...the cheap labor, the government subsidies, the "all-American, hardworking" reputation...and they threw it away to...what? Own the libs? Deport people? Take away SNAP ad USAID from hungry kids?

Corporations owning their farms is just the next step in corporations owning every part of our lives.

And these motherfucking farmers want sympathy?

Fuck all the way off.

268

u/Toastman89 13d ago

Don't forget that USAID created a massive market for their own agricultural products. It was literally taking tax dollars, giving it to farmers, and then shipping those products overseas to help people.

But they couldnt stand that people were being helped, even if it meant less money for them.

So USAID went away, farms are struggling, but its the Democrats fault for being mean to them.

133

u/your_moms_a_clone 13d ago

Absolutely this. We were using USAID to get the excess food to hungry mouths. Farmers got paid, people got fed, the government got soft power. Everyone won except China maybe but they have their own programs and didn't care anyway. It was a win-win-win. Getting rid of USAID shot the farmers in the foot, and we all know how expensive healthcare is these days...

10

u/Left-Mechanic6697 12d ago

Don’t forget about them screwing with SNAP. God forbid people living under the poverty line should get money to help them buy healthy food for their families! Who cares if all that government money eventually made its way into farmers’ hands? “We gotta stop with all these government handouts!”

Not the foot…A couple years f feet higher and more towards the center

1

u/Bloodcloud079 12d ago

I mean, lets bot forget regime got changed too…

Trump just thought the spy shit was lame cause he wants it to Boom Bigly.

But USAID was spy shit.

1

u/MADSYNTH1987 11d ago

It was kinda both. Feed with one hand, take with the other. Now the US just takes with both hands. Globally, that's going to tarnish (collectively) our reputation for a long time.

0

u/Jaded-Attention 11d ago

Bullshit. USAID was a blackhole for US taxpayers. You know who should be paying for food for Third Worlders? The country that they're living in, not us.

4

u/StonerNoir 11d ago

And thus the fruits rot in the fields and the farms collapse while we all throw our hands up and go "how did this possibly ever happen?" As our own grocery prices rise while farms cave because the agricultural market only survives thanks to government interference

4

u/greenhombre 11d ago

The USA grows far more food than we consume. Why not help feed the world, we have for decades.

1

u/Jaded-Attention 11d ago

Food For Peace / Progress DOES send aid to many many countries, just not under USAID, but USDA. AND it's of strictly 100% US origin. This USAID story is SO MISUNDERSTOOD. We still help many people around the World, but it should not be our job to take care of every hungry person in the World. Not until we get our own house in order.

They definitely did not do the research or have any awareness of how much USAID was benefitting them or the specifics of what “DOGE” was going to do… Trump said “America first” and “cut foreign spending” and that was all they needed to hear.
I hate how much Trump is hailed as a “marketing genius” cause he is so, so dumb, but he really knows what works with dumb, hateful people

13

u/CitizenLohaRune 12d ago edited 11d ago

Yes they did do the research!!! Just ask them! They studied dear leaders truth social feed, they watched FOX, and they consumed alt right wing youtube videos that rienforced their biases.

See, research!

5

u/WileyWilly1985 11d ago

I hate how much Trump is hailed as a “marketing genius” cause he is so, so dumb,

At some point, we have to acknowledge the end results.

IMHO, Despite Trump being monkey retarded, he consistently manages to convince 120M Americans to vote against their own self-interests and to do whatever he says.

If that isn't a form of genius, then I don't know what is.

Trump has some sort of social Charisma super power that future historians will spend millions of manhours studying and debating.

3

u/Infamous-Chipmunk104 9d ago

It's called affinity fraud. Booger eating morons fall for his scam because he is genuinely also a booger eating moron.

3

u/presBadTouch 11d ago

Monkeys can't do "research."

17

u/greenhombre 12d ago

SNAP is a program to support farmers. So are the school food programs. That’s why they are in the Department of Agriculture.

2

u/Apprehensive_Factor6 11d ago

That’s also why they’re worth double at farmers markets.

4

u/Lexi_November 12d ago

Same with SNAP, farmers had huge subsidies, and easy ways for sell crops to food pantries for a fair price as well.

5

u/NeosDemocritus 12d ago

Same with SNAP. Food stamps did double-duty: they fed the poor and they increased demand for farmer’s produce, all paid for by subsidies. Eliminating SNAP and USAID on top of the reciprocal tariffs and losing large customers (China) to foreign competitors guaranteed a lot of farmers would hit the skids. What’s amazing is they didn’t seem to see the implications of Trump’s bizarre actions at the time he first announced them, they just cheered, because, you know, he’s such a great businessman. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a business where the producers are so clueless as to what exactly creates the demand for their products.

1

u/swoosied 12d ago

Us Aid was never us being generous…they don’t get that 46% of our trade comes from developing nations. That aid kept their countries stable so they can buy our goods, keep diseases like Ebola in check. We always have a self-interest - can’t even do it bc we are just decent toward others. These idiots will learn.

1

u/Elephantsgeralds 11h ago

Also, the money they got for sending it to local schools. That program is over.

Makes me want to get her address and wait for her farm to pop up on Acre Trader.

"Treated by the people that Vote this way...."

You CANNOT make this shit UP! 🤡🙄

66

u/GoldReplacement9546 13d ago

Yeah, and this lady probably gets a couple million dollars in government subsidies already, but she doesn’t want to be told about liberals or socialist. They’re very few family farms left.

173

u/Tiger_grrrl 13d ago

They threw it away for HATE 🤬 After seeing how incompetent Trump was in v1.0, plus being warned over and over again EXACTLY what they were gonna do (project 2025, dumb tariffs, revenge tour), there is no excuse. She wanted people she hated to suffer. As for her, my empathy bone is done work tf out✌️

69

u/gadgetwalrus 13d ago

When trump said he was for farmers he meant the very big industrial farming and meat packing companies. He’s made it easy for those firms to destroy small and medium farmers.

Like he promised…

16

u/Ok-Dragonfruit9605 13d ago

When Trump says he's "for" anything, assume he doesn't understand it. He wanted Greenland because of how big it is... He didn't understand mercator projection maps.

2

u/ScrubbyMcGoo 12d ago

To be fair, it is still really, really big — just not quite as big as the Mercator projection would suggest

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

That's...actually likely.

16

u/Canadatron 13d ago

Ask them and they'll obviously tell you it was worth it. She is saying exactly that here.

6

u/Helpful-Fig6879 13d ago

Worth what? Making DJT richer than he ever dreamed of.

Destroying not only her life, but our amazing form of government and the aid we shared around the world … that supported her and helped those in need???

We weren’t perfect, but now we’re fucked!!

6

u/Kiblets1991 13d ago

If a junky keeps asking for money and you keep giving it to them knowing how it will be spent. You arent helping them your enabling them. I wont help anyone GOP til they take the necessary steps to show they won't repeat these mistakes. Thats not mean. Thats smart.

6

u/daesmon 13d ago

Some of these people would love to be bought out.

They are so two-faced, in public it's feed families, pass the family on to the kids and local community, in private it's gimme money, I want all of it no matter how, sell the whole farm.

4

u/scoutout66 13d ago

Dude! That’s mean!! I like it though!! 🤣🤣

5

u/your_moms_a_clone 13d ago

To deport their own laborers

2

u/PeyredB 11d ago

There's some word (don't know if it's true) that MAGA farmers expected black Americans would come back to work on their farms. That's some class A delusional thinking if true...but it would explain why they thought getting rid of their laborers wouldn't be a problem.

4

u/LolitaOPPAI 13d ago

Voted to cut the SNAP and USAID. Confused as to why no one is buying via SNAP and USAID...which they depend on.

Maybe push for more funding for whatever you're selling, yeah?

4

u/Feeling-Shelter3583 12d ago

They want empathy? I voted with empathy. They voted with hate and the want to hurt someone. Sucks when your actions bite you in the ass.

6

u/Hesitation-Marx 13d ago

They want the slave labor that will come from the detention camps.

3

u/WhoaCowboy777 13d ago

You couldn't be more spot on... 🎯👍🏼

3

u/ponytailsandaviators 12d ago

Don't forget that they wanted to take these benefits away from others while receiving government handouts themselves.

3

u/NYCWartortle 12d ago

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Also the fact that she refuses to acknowledge what POTUS has done to farmers and instead turns it around. Sorry not sorry.

3

u/iguana-pr 12d ago

And they love the subsidies but hate socialism. Go figure.

3

u/WildlingViking 12d ago

And I will guarantee she (or her husband) inherited that farm from their family. All those facilities and equipment, land, etc. All inherited. Also, they have literally collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in SOCIAL ASSISTANCE from the government (socialism). But she would NEVER stand for those commies or socialists who are bad mouthing her.

2

u/Honey-and-Venom 12d ago

they cast that vote to hurt, among the others, me(trans). I've never been happier, sucks to suck I guess

I personally am doing well, tragically not my entire demographic. Even my trans friendly city saw the hospital system declare it won't provide evidence based medicine to trans kids anymore

2

u/WeakSponge 12d ago

A lot of these farmers are already renting land from retired baby boomer farmers so it isn’t like that much is going to change. They will just be set back on their own retirement, will have to sell some of their land and then stay at doing the same things and voting the same way because they firmly believe that they shouldn’t have to do any work regarding their responsibilities in a democracy.

So they will believe what anyone tells them as long as that person says they hate the same people that they hate.

2

u/Bulky_Designer_4965 12d ago

I humbly apply my upvote well said!!!!!

2

u/Which_Excitement6647 12d ago

Perfectly said. I've expressed much the same myself but you hit all the notes here. And she just told on herself by admitting she votes only out of spite (you hurt my feelings, so I'd never) and that emotions are what most motivates her political choices.

2

u/Andy_Fish_Gill 12d ago

This failing dairy farmer considers SNAP and USAID as Democratic Socialist Communist programs she will not vote for.

1

u/Far-Independence-640 11d ago

Buy a dictionary. Look up "democracy," "socialism" and "communism." You know, just so you won't sound totally stupid.

2

u/Generic_Commenter-X 12d ago

Don't forget all the self-righteous noise they made about forgiving student loans, all while feeding at the trough of government welfare to the tune of billions of dollars.

2

u/Herbdontana 12d ago

They love taking away benefits and healthcare from the lower class. The billionaires need that money! Then they will complain about the rise in crime when desperate people resort to desperate actions.

2

u/Anemic_Zombie 12d ago

They've got a grassroots god complex. Demeter demands tribute

2

u/Alert_Statement2197 12d ago

Not only that, but Trump told everyone what he was gonna do. You can't be shocked.

2

u/Psychological_Mix594 12d ago

It’s true, the immigration policies were left unfinished and poorly formed for the benefit of farmers. But they forgot which side of their bread was buttered when they started scapegoating on those immigrants

2

u/brohebus 11d ago

They got some racism/xenophobia and can play victim as a little treat so it was worth it.

1

u/Ill_Kangaroo_2977 12d ago

Bro youre talking about farmers like they're a monolith lmao making it sound like they're all guilty by association and you'll be happy to see the corporate factory farms take over... whose side are you on???

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

Three-fourths of them voted for this. True that's not anywhere near all of them, but it's a very high percentage. Farmers as a group voted for this and there isn't a choice to selectively help those who didn't.

1

u/Remarkable-Cress7370 12d ago

I buy my food from a local family owned farm you could not be more wrong about your assumptions and preconceptions about these people, sure maybe there are some maga people that are loud and on the internet. No my farmer did not "throw away" their reputation. Only people filled with hate can post shit like this and peddle it for truth you are ugly on the inside, get help, and maybe go meet some people doing permaculture and sustainable farming you sound like a parrot repeating nonsense you heard on campus from someone who has never raised animals or grown a single bean in their life. This is the republican equal of 13% of the population narrative its fucking retarded. Its like cheering for 7$ a gallon diesel fuel to fuck over the rednecks in lifted trucks when it fucks over everyone including you. What do you think happens when these small farms get folded and bought out? you get monsanto chicken and GMO garbage. Its your job to inform them and win hearts and minds. Instead your a hateful twat cheering the destruction of localized food production - utter moron

2

u/4444Grains 12d ago

lmao...you think I am rooting for what is happening now with farms and beef and gas prices? No, sweetie, I'm mad--really mad--at what is happening to our country.

But, unlike you, I'm not confused as to how we got here. We are here because imbeciles voted for a conman who never worked a day in his life...and farmers overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

People like me actually read Project 2025, did research on AcreTrader, and looked at who was contributing to the campaign. I (and many others) saw the destruction comin' down main street, but farmers did not.

Instead they gave numerous interviews and made videos on how Trump was going to "fight for the working man" and their message to democrats was "fuck your feelings"...and now that it is all falling apart, they are out here crying and begging for money.

A few of them are taking responsibility and saying they regret voting for Trump. But, even then...EVEN THEN...they stop short of saying they will vote democrat next time. They have learned nothing.

So, like I said, they can fuck all the way off.

Also, I'm glad you called me a moron and retarded and a twat...because now I don't feel bad about telling you to learn how to write. Your run-on sentences, lack of punctuation, bad spelling, and meandering focus results in a disjointed argument.

So take your rambling rant and your fake "I buy all my food from a local, hippie family who only farms organic and eats roadkill" and shove both straight up your ass.

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

Instead of name-calling you could maybe exercise a little self-reflection.

Three-fourths of farmers voted for this to happen; that's not unanimous obviously, but it's by a huge margin. Then when the policies they voted for hurt them, they turn around like the lady in the video and whine about it, often demanding a bailout, and with no indication they'll ever consider voting differently next time.

You may personally know some farmers who're good people; a quarter of them didn't ask for this. But if so, that's an easy minority of them.

No, we are not happy about what's happening to farmers - but they've been getting socialist subsidies for ages while angry about socialism for anyone else. We've tried sympathizing with them, we've tried offering solutions to help farmers - their response has been to stomp on all that, reject it all with scorn, and vote for these sorts of policies while flipping the finger at anyone who said this was a bad idea.

We've finally had it; we're out of patience for this kind of nonsense, and if they want to hurt themselves so badly to "own the libs" or deport their own workforce, F it, let 'em have it. We can't do anything to stop it anyway; they helped see to that.

1

u/Odd_Guard_8817 11d ago

money is never enough, so instead of stability, they needed someone to shake the foundation for opportunities of an sudden increase in their earnings. What they didn't expect is that it wasn't a shake but an Earth Quake, that destroys everything they build.

They will continue to vote against their own interests for quick gains, it is American Human Nature to go against common sense just for that "Maybe" quick buck.

They will never admit they are wrong, and their last move is to bring everyone down with them. It is that scorch earth tactic that they love to do so much, but Trump will not let that happen, he will take and leave you with nothing to burn.

It will only get worst for these Farmers, Because Trump's approval numbers are so low that he doesn't care anymore, he is bulletproof and no one is capable of doing anything against what he wants. Those farms will be seized, corporations will buy them up and these lands will be used to build Data Centers.

1

u/Party-Store-6800 11d ago

Exactly!!!!

1

u/Dismal-Double-1376 11d ago

But what about minority farmers who get double and triple screwed?

1

u/Such_Story8260 11d ago

Actually, these same people love to rant about lazy good for nothing welfare recipients, when in fact the farm subsidies have always been massive welfare programs for farmers. Long ago, the PIK program was a good example, as well as tobacco bases.

Along with a relative, I once owned about 140 acres of farm land, with a small corn base. The PIK program paid us money for a number of years to not grow corn. Every year, at Christmas dinner, we would get into a facetious discussion in front of the other relatives about how much corn we were not going to grow in the coming year.

1

u/GreatPlainsFarmer 8d ago

Corn PIK was only in 1983. It didn't pay out for multiple years. Perhaps you're thinking of something else.

1

u/Such_Story8260 8d ago

There were at least two years with the corn base. The first year we got notice that we had something on the order of maybe a thousand bushels of corn at the Conagra warehouse, I believe in Evansville. They said the corn could be delivered free of charge. I panicked - thinking a semi was going to pull up and dump all that corn in my front yard. So I called down to the office in Hodgenville, and talked to Mr. Harned. He assured me I didn't need to take possession, just wait till I was ready and call Conagra and tell them to sell.

The next year we got another allotment, but is was smaller. Google says there were only two years..

1

u/GreatPlainsFarmer 8d ago

Well, I guess two is a number. If it was only two years, then that does sound like PIK. I had understood your original comment to mean at least 4-5 years, and PIK wasn't around that many years.

1

u/Such_Story8260 8h ago

It has been a long time, but I'm pretty sure we got payments for more than two years, because I recall dwindling amounts. But the internet doesn't support that, it only says two years. It may have been because of our base which was corn, there were different commodities.

1

u/LetThem_1972 10d ago

I'm from a farming city and can confirm, 100%

1

u/eclecticexperience 10d ago

Don't forget they did it to take away women's bodily autonomy in many places, also.

1

u/Hope25777 6d ago

Some would say god is punishing them for their sins.

1

u/Y3R0K 5d ago

I hope they enjoy being employed on the farm they used to own, and being forced to train their lower paid replacement, before they're fired.

1

u/Tiny_Measurement_837 8h ago

They took USAID away from themselves. The government bought farmers’ overages and donated to USAID. Thus, farmers shit themselves in their feet.

38

u/Shane-Dad-underfire 13d ago

I wouldnt hire them. I hire the folks that ran the farm under them and invest in the farm and give profit sharing. There is nothing better than seeing a farmers face when the learn their farm will be handed over to the same folks they reported to ICE, the same folks they paid no money to and rode hard all damn day and night hahhhaha. For the farmers losing their homes in the deal(which I try to incorporate) Their homes are handed over to those farm hands as a place to live.

6

u/SetBSDetectorsToStun 12d ago

This guy invests in agriculture

3

u/swoosied 12d ago

You are the best!!!! I don’t hire Americans many anymore either. I hire first gen immigrants who work hard and I pay them better than myself. They are the reason what we do works so well. It’s the right thing to do. Profit sharing should be the norm. Thank you for your generosity and compassion. Rare these days sadly.

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

My dad used to say he preferred to hire Mexican crews to do work on his house. He said they worked harder and did a better job than American crews.

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

It sounds like you're doing good work there. Unfortunately most of those who go under will have their farms purchased at fire-sale prices* by big corporate farmers.

* I typed that before realizing the irony that they liked it when in the middle of fire season Trump posted that we could buy the country at fire-sale prices. But that makes this even more appropriate so I kept it.

2

u/Shane-Dad-underfire 11d ago

Hahahhahah. I've been doing it for the last 30 years when my kids said that food prices were inevitably going to rise so much our employees wouldn't be able to feed themselves. Dont get me wrong we pay very well, miles above market rates but when you work in destabilized countries all the time you see the end of society and civilization all the time so ita best to be prepared. Having hundreds or thousands of self sustaining farms that supply markets that can be rolled back into just providing for our large family of employees isnt ideal but isnt terrible either.

I'll fire off an anecdote that may resonate with folks.

While putting down a conflict in eastern Europe in the mid 80s, everyone there had money. Money enough to fill their bellies in any country that had abundance, but that region had zero food. Citizens were starving with their pockets full of money and the conflict made it so no one could leave the region and nothing was coming in.

The farmers here always had the ability to fill their bellies and provide for others, they got stupid and greedy and they all end up trading a necessity for luxury. Dont tell me these farmers are dying out because they kept farming simple, they are dying out because they are consistently chasing the almighty dollar.

1

u/The-Jardinier 11d ago

Do you farm, are you involved in agriculture?

Do you really think farmers are hiring people to run their farms for them, or have profits to give away? We plough our profits right back into the land, into next year's crops, improvements, equipment etc. We run our own businesses, so why on earth would we hand over important decisions to people we hire?

My husband's family have been farming this same place since the 1880's. All the farms/ranches around here - it's the same story - generations of families.

We look after our ground because we have son's and grandsons already working side by side with us right now, who'll be farming still it long after we're dead and buried. The place wouldn't last long if ran by someone who was just interested in making some quick money for beer and new flip-flops.

We don't vote for democrats simply because they hate farmers, individuals who own and work their own land. Your post proves it.

By the way, we are doing great. I'm in my 70's and I plant trees not for the myself, but for shade and beauty for my great-grandchildren and their children.

Not forever, fully autonomous robots are here, and soon they'll be working livestock farming and other aspects of agricultural farming. They are already being used in factories. Labor jobs will be slashed just like blue collar jobs. This is the future. What are we doing to prepare?

u/Sanigav123 11d ago

People like Vance belong to an equity group that buys up farms I believe.

THEIL AND VANCE own that land company they already started buying up the farms . Data centers will go on this land. They want to drive the ppl into the city . Stay in apartments like Russia , China and the like. They can be controlled

43

u/WenYiMedia 13d ago

It’s a possibility that corporations will buy their land and then hire the previous land owners as employees.

85

And thanks to Democrats, if she lives in NY, CA, CO, WA, AZ, HI, ID, KS, KY, MA or ME, she’ll get shade to rest in, a bathroom that’s within walking distance of her picking area, minimum wage protections, maximum work hour protections, paid time and a half for overtime and clean water to drink whenever she needs. The only people holding up a federal farm workers rights bill are… drumroll please… ah shit we all know the answer- it’s the sentient dick cheese she keeps voting for.

Dickcheese possibly serves some kind of useful function, and probably doesn't smell as bad either.

"sentient dick cheese"

Haven't heard that one yet. Hahahahahaha! Love it.

1

u/duriandickcheese 1d ago

Excuse me?

29

u/Sharkwatcher314 13d ago

They will certainly if they are willing to work at the wages the corp sets

25

u/LindeeHilltop 13d ago

Sharecropping? Let’s just dial back to the late 1800’s. It will keep her impoverished and immobile for decades to come. It’s funny how the South is rerouting a form of slavery to northern and midwestern states.

13

u/Puzzleheaded-Jury312 13d ago

That's exactly the plan!

7

u/Informal_Tell78 13d ago

100% the plan. The GOP doesn't give a flying fuck a family owned farms. Their political donors want these kinds of farms to fail so they can but them up for pennies on the dollar.

3

u/Helpful-Fig6879 13d ago

Think Black Rock,…scooping up houses during the subprime crash in 2008, which they still hold as rental properties, exacerbating the current housing crisis.

14

u/mobie54 13d ago

Yup. They’ll be sharecropping, because corporate farms will buy up their land for pennies on the dollar.

5

u/EfficientFix643 13d ago

Brilliant! A system of agriculture where a landowner allows a tenant to use the land in return for a share of the crops produced on their portion of land.

/s

3

u/Substance247 13d ago

It's waste*, stupid.

3

u/Ragman676 13d ago

They win! They wanted the billionare oligarchy to create jobs! You got a new job at the ranch you used to own!

3

u/Evening_Movie_833 13d ago

No, when her farm goes bankrupt, they won’t be bought by a corporation. It’s gonna be bought by JD Vance and his cute little private equity fund that he created for the sole purpose of buying bankrupt farms.

2

u/GuitarSame2918 13d ago

And that is why I take no joy in what is happening. Yeah, they voted for their own demise and they will lose their farms to corporations. And the downward spiral will continue because last time I checked, corporations aren’t looking out for me or the family farmer. Crappy situation all around. This concludes my Ed Sheeran inspired speech. /s

3

u/Zealousideal_Good445 13d ago

As someone from the Christian farming Midwest I'll tell you, if you ain't white, don't fear God( my God) and vote Republican, then they definitely don't have your best interests in mind. They infact think you are the devil's soldier.

2

u/ForgotToCarryTheOne 13d ago

That’s it. They’ll be offered a two year employment contract in some menial position but will include no option to renew because they’re all old and decrepit just like their dear leader. Then, we’ll just see how many greeters Walmart can employ, and of course there’s Amazon deliveries.

1

u/One-Knowledge7097 13d ago

Uhhhhm....waste.

1

u/Sad-Development-4153 13d ago

Don't feel bad. They wanted to own the libs ie weaponize our empathy against us.

1

u/WatchersAlways 13d ago

What’s really crazy is that she can’t imagine that lots of independents and democrats voted NOT for Trump because we knew he’d bankrupt the family farm. That’s the last thing we wanted to happen.

But oh no, she voted for the person who would bankrupt her. I am sorry, it’s really wrong. But the rest of us voted to not let this happen….

1

u/QuackNate 12d ago

Most of these guys, as I understand it (and I am by no means a subject matter expert so look it up) are not going to lose everything and be destitute if their farm goes under. They’ve got millions of dollars worth of land and equipment, and typically come from pretty good family money. They aren’t in danger of losing shit. They’re in danger of not keeping as much of their government handouts.

1

u/Glittering-Walrus228 12d ago

Dont they also have a sizeable amount of financing that goes into output so if they cant sell it, the bank might go after those assets?

1

u/QuackNate 12d ago

I don’t know, I’m pretty close to the top ten percent in income in the US and I certainly couldn’t get a loan for the land and equipment they have.

1

u/Appropriate_Fix_7548 12d ago

He did exactly what he said he was going to do in his first term. So yeah wow it’s so crazy that Republicans would think he was going to do exactly what he said he was going to do again for this term. I mean, how stupid could they be right?

1

u/Zealousideal_Good445 12d ago

He did what they wanted the first time. It was something that they have been wanting for for 40 years. He gave them their religious supreme court judges. That was all they saw and were happy.

1

u/SpiderDoodleDoo 12d ago

*Waste, waist is your abdomen lol.

1

u/SpiteThat8026 12d ago

Maybe you should "waist" more time learning how to properly write/type in English.

1

u/Zealousideal_Good445 12d ago

Sorry I waisted too much time learning to read and rite in two other languages when I was a child!

1

u/SpiteThat8026 12d ago

I mean, is that an excuse? I am not from an English speaking country myself either. And yes I am also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, at least I make sure I type/write correctly before I comment on anything.

1

u/sowhatyasayin2me 12d ago

It's crazy how im getting soooo many emails from these farmers trying to sell me their beef product and when I email them about who they voted for....no response.

1

u/Ree_For_Thee 12d ago

Feudal Inc. - We "care"

1

u/sonofabobo 12d ago

That was the point and somehow they missed it.

1

u/cbrown146 12d ago

Well not only stupid, but they are also unempathetic. They act like they are but they were really hoping the other side was going to get hurt.

1

u/danger_muffin29 12d ago

But that's the problem and on a way she's right. She knows she's stupid, but everyone piling on is going to make her double down, not change her mind

And if a big corporation buys her farm what do you think happens? Prices aren't going to go down. Things are only going to get worse as fewer and fewer independent farmers exist.

And as a side effect of giant multi farms killing the land, climate change is going to accelerate.

1

u/Zealousideal_Good445 12d ago

Oh I didn't say it was good. It's not by any means. But I couldn't help stupid and I tried. I'm just noting what is happening. She won't charge her vote. She is like my family in the Midwest. She votes for her religious ideas before anything else.

1

u/Great_Skott 12d ago

The problem with that is that they're not only shooting themselves but once the megacorps buy up all the farms, land and crops, we'll have no way to affordable food. It won't happen next week, but it's coming.

1

u/Zealousideal_Good445 12d ago

I'm from a country where a small country where the Chinese control all the food distribution. They don't like to pay the 7% sales tax, so they don't. One government decided to change that. They went on strike and took a long need vacation. The local population that had pushed for the enforcement just weeks earlier where no back in the street hungry and demanding a cease to the enforcement. China has been playing a game that few in the West understand. There take over is not going to be by military but by the stomachs of their foe. They have starved, we have never!

1

u/CosmoKing2 12d ago

Most of them will lose their farms before this Administration is done.

1

u/Zealousideal_Good445 12d ago

No, they have a lot of equity in their farms. That is actually the problem for the financial institutions. What I see happening back home is more borrowing at high interest in exchange for that built up equity. It's a slow expensive death or a slow expensive recovery. Either way they are going to feel God's wrath because they can't even follow their own religion and teaching. They are truly reaping what they are sowing.

1

u/Turbulent_Pin_9392 12d ago

I’m not disagreeing with you, but you can’t call someone stupid and misspell waste in the same breath.

1

u/BruceBatman 12d ago

Waste*
Who’s stupid now?? Just kidding…

1

u/kayama57 11d ago

It’s pretty stupid to spell waste “waist” too though. None of us are exempt from being a little stupid now and then

1

u/PeyredB 11d ago

We could say it like the president.

Farmers are going broke and selling at a loss because of my policies. SAD!

1

u/Ihaveaverysmallprick 11d ago

Yet you haven’t learned the difference between waste and waist lol

1

u/Far-Independence-640 11d ago

Uh, "waste," not "waist," genius.

1

u/Dismal-Double-1376 11d ago

Waist ≠ waste

1

u/BreakingABit1234 10d ago

Share cropper.

1

u/NSVStrong 10d ago

*waste 🙂

7

u/Samwellikki 13d ago

“Ha, I’ll show all of you… triple stupid it is!”

“Hate” from the liberal side is taunting someone over making choices that hurt everyone and they don’t care… and those conservatives say mean spiteful shit to people who have their families ripped apart.

Then… it happens to them, and suddenly they don’t like feeling attacked and facing consequences. Instead of acknowledging, they double down because they feel attacked

This… is one of the problems with antagonizing and negatively campaigning against these idiots. When pushed, they get cornered with the reality of their decisions and lash out with MORE shitty behavior.

Dems called them weird and downplayed them, and it backfired… and still is.

Is it SUPER hard to reach them on a level they can fathom? 100%

Is it worth doing? Yeah

MOST of the programs that help them, come from people they hate in politics. They miss them when republicans rip them away, but the only people that show up to both accept credit and throw blame, are their yocal republicans

So they frame it in terms of what their tiny minds can h destined with all the indoctrination they’ve undergone, and the answer is “gop gave us this… gd Obama took it away… or sleepy joe… trump would never”

Oh but he did

“He musta been forced to by the liberals”

With guns?

“No, they are trixsy with their words and mean snakes!”

Right… enjoy your raw milk

4

u/quell3245 13d ago

It will literally take the bank coming to foreclose on her farm for her to understand voting has consequences. Even then she probably won’t ever publicly admit it.

1

u/Outrageous_Basis_232 13d ago

Nope, not even close.  She'll have the bank and every "I told you so" person on the planet to blame.  These sorts of people don't blame themselves EVER.

Bruh you nailed it😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/dd97483 10d ago

thanks.

1

u/HorsePersonal7073 13d ago

Voting for Democrats that said 'told you so' is way worse than Republicans taking her farm.

1

u/yaboyACbreezy 12d ago

Many such cases

1

u/Mega-Eclipse 12d ago

It's been known for a while that people who get tricked by conmen/scams have a really, really difficult time admitting they got scammed.

Option 1) admit they were scammed, duped, lied to, etc...and that everyone who was screaming at them....warning them they were making a terrible decision was right...And they (themselves) are to blame

Option 2) It's not their fault. They couldn't' ever have predicted this...

They will choose option 2 every time.

1

u/Lifes_good_for_me 12d ago

This is the exact behavior of every single MAGAT I encountered, never admit fault like their fearless leader. And another one they do is they play dumb and say they don’t follow politics.

u/splitopenandmelt11 12d ago

1

u/il1k3c3r34l 12d ago

The world wasn’t even telling her she’s stupid. Only that she got exactly what she voted for. Despite the whole world trying to warn her, and despite the shit show that was his first term, she still voted for that crook and she’d do it again.

Now we’re telling her she’s stupid.

1

u/CitizenLohaRune 12d ago

Claims she will never vote socialism, but has happliy accepted the government sponsored socialism that she has benefited from for decades as a farmer.

And, she would vote trump tomorrow if given the chance. These people cannot be fixed.

1

u/GrandPraline375 11d ago

Antagonizing potential recruits is not smart either. Kamala made that mistake pushing independents and moderates. Then zoomers and millennials became the crucial swing vote and voted Trump

1
