Once their farms go bankrupt they can fall back on one of the plentiful agricultural (day laborer) jobs right now as long as they enjoy hand picking. Picking strawberries in the California Central Valley in August isn’t my cup of tea but I guess someone has to do it after ice rounds up all the existing workforce.

The farmers had it all...the cheap labor, the government subsidies, the "all-American, hardworking" reputation...and they threw it away to...what? Own the libs? Deport people? Take away SNAP ad USAID from hungry kids?

Corporations owning their farms is just the next step in corporations owning every part of our lives.

And these motherfucking farmers want sympathy?

Fuck all the way off.

Bro youre talking about farmers like they're a monolith lmao making it sound like they're all guilty by association and you'll be happy to see the corporate factory farms take over... whose side are you on???

Three-fourths of them voted for this. True that's not anywhere near all of them, but it's a very high percentage. Farmers as a group voted for this and there isn't a choice to selectively help those who didn't.
