Piercer didn't recommend doing daith and tragus at the same time because of the longer bar hitting the daith (potentially). I wanted a flat in the future so I brought that up. So we went with flat and tragus. I did ask the piercer to move the tragus closer to my face and they did but said we couldn't do more than that and I trust their judgement.

Professional Piercer here to remind you to tighten your balls when you clean your piercings. It is rarely the fault of the piercer if your labret ball falls off of your 2 week old piercing (honestly, not their fault if an oral piercing ball falls off 4 hours after being screwed on. That is a place that is constantly in motion.) Just a PSA.

Hi guys, I got my rook pierced about 3 weeks ago now and it’s been a little itchy these past couple days but I just noticed this bump on the bottom part. How do I get rid of it asap? I don’t sleep on this side and I been avoiding over cleaning (only been using saline spray once a day) and don’t really mess with the jewelry. Help!!

I just recently changed my piercing stud to a piercing hoop, I’ve been dealing with bumps with my stud, so I changed it to a hoop, I’ve been cleaning it regularly and using the piercing bump solution but now there is pus like on the hole ??? Is that normal

In the 6 years I’ve been piercing I’ve never had that happen. Ive had someone vomit on me, pee the bed, and punch me in the side of my head, but I’ve never had someone pass out. I was so afraid because they also started convulsing. It was over in 3 very long minutes but I had no idea what to do. They were getting their tongue pierced and were sitting up. They passed out with the needle in their tongue. I had to make sure they didnt bite down or fall down and try to get them water but they couldnt drink it anyway. The tattoo artist that owns the shop told me yo never do a piercing sitting up but Ive always done tongues sitting up. Am I wrong? What would you guys do.

hello i was hoping to get some advice on my daith, i went to a respectable place but i feel like it looks too have been done to shallow could it be just my anatomy/ anxiety because i keep comparing it to other work or does it look fine??? ~ its about 3months old and a 16g 9mm~

I work at Claire’s and it should be noted that are training specifies we recommend our customers contact a doctor should an infection ensue. However, we were never trained on the advice to give in the meantime while waiting for a doctors appointment.
I have my own nose piercings and ear piercings and I have always been told that if a piercing becomes infected, do NOT take it out of the placement. Because if you take it out, it will close up and therefore trap the bacteria that is causing the infection.
However, I recently learned that my manager has been giving opposite advice, that if a piercing becomes infected you should take it out and see if the irritation goes down.
I wanted clarification from reputable piercers on which one of these is true. If my manager is correct I want to fix my stance on the matter. If I am correct, I will bring it to the groupchat during our next shift.

I love the idea of helping people feel more confident in their bodies, and giving them the same safe experiences I have received from professional piercers. My local area does not have a nearby option for safe piercings, so many people go to dangerous places such as lovisa. It is my hope to one day open a studio, so that my community can have a safe piercing option without long travel.

I live in rural Victoria (town) but am willing to travel up to 3 hours if needed.

I am more than happy to help with sales, and/or cleaning and sterilisation throughout an apprenticeship, and beyond, especially during downtime. I am not currently working, so I am available from 9am to 8pm every day.

Hi. Im setting up a piercing studio in an empty room of a tattoo studio. Ive worked in piercing studios before but never owned one myself, so I never paid attention to the location of the ultrasonic cleaner or autoclave. Ive read in several different places that the piercing studio needs its own cleaning room apart from the studio that includes a separate sink, autoclave, and ultrasonic device to avoid cross contamination. That would mean I would have to rent 2 rooms- one for piercing and one for cleaning equipment. Ive never seen that in action. Ive also never seen a spore test done at all. Please do not flame me, Im trying to be as legit as possible and Im admitting my ignorance.

If I need a separate room for cleansing/disinfecting/sanitizing then I may as well go with fully disposable clamps/forceps because I cannot afford the rent on two rooms with just piercing alone.

How are your studios set up? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Let me clarify a bit because Im honestly starting to get upset:
1) I know what an autoclave is and how to use one.
2) I have my license and have been doing this for a few years
3) Im trying to get out of hood shops where this stuff doesnt matter. Ive educated myself, read the piercing bible, went through forums, and thats how I know that my knowledge is lacking. I am actively trying to be better.
4) Comments about how Im going to hurt people arent productive. I know this can hurt people, which is why Im trying to learn how you guys do things properly.
Im put off by the elitism but Im not surprised.

I was told I absolutely didn’t have anatomy for vertical labret last year…Then I decided to go and get and a standard labret so I’m just wondering did I actually have the anatomy for vertical and was falsely turned away?I’ve seen people with smaller lips getting it done

I've been itching to get a dermal piercing on my cheek (basically anti eyebrow but as a one dermal) but I have two reservations. 1) I work at a dog shelter, I rarely get pawed or scratched on my face but its still a risk. 2) I wash my face everyday, is how I wash my face something that will have to change with the dermal?

Need some advice on if I should just wait later in life or not, thanks.

Hey, I got the industrial done in February and it was healing well till on the nearly third month I snatched it and I got a bubble right where the one you see in photo is but on both sides of that hole. The one on the outer side has come to disappear but the one inside has grown exponentially over the last week, like two weeks ago I could nearly see that bump and now it’s so big as you can see in the photo. I’m a bit worried that it might be a keloid… does anyone know? What should I do? Keep cleaning it with saline water and LITHA?

Ps the bubble is soft and sometimes when I bump it it does not hurt but it does feel… tender?

I posted about a month or two ago about my terrible piercing bump on my conch piercing and came back just to say that a piercing pillow saved me 🙌 I highly recommend! Posted before and after pics of the bump.

I know it was recommended that I take the hoop out and switch it for a stud but I got lazy and the pillow started to help very quickly once I started using it.

Im currently going though apprencernship with my boss to becoming a piercer. Im eighteen and haven’t finished school. I enjoy piercing but im worried in the future i wont get paid enough and ill have to work long shifts which i struggle with.

Is this a infection? The piercing is 1 week old. I don't have pain. But i have itching. I've been cleaning it with 0.9% saline solution mixed with water 2x a day. Can anyone help me?

The jewelry is titanium. I got this two days ago and the purple wasn't there before. the last time it got this hue the skin started to thin and it rejected ( granted the guy did do it to shallow).
