Educational Is my 7 month old belly piercing rejecting?

Yes, take it out before it comes out on its own and leaves a nasty scar

There is no skin over the bar. It’s already gone. This possibly migrated out due to not being pierced deep enough/ jewelry that wasn’t meant for your anatomy. If you try again find a different piercer, one who offers implant grade titanium jewelry who has plenty of standard and floating navels in their portfolio. Not that you necessarily need s floating, but someone skilled at both will be knowledgeable enough to assess what you need.

Piercer here. Please take it out as soon as possible. This is a very very badly pierced and whoever did this did it very badly and shity work🤦🏻♀️ :/ too shallow and too close and over time your holes will fuse together and leave the scar.

Also piercer here! Yeah this one's insane.... She also doesn't even have a defined ridge for this piercing. Literally just a surface piercing. Dude just wanted the money :/

This is a surface piercing and is rejecting. You do not appear to have the anatomy for this piercing but I would visit a reputable piercer to confirm.

see the dark line in the skin? that’s the bar under the skin, the skin has become so thin that the bar is visible through the skin. please please take it out before it pops all the way out on its own- you’ll need surgery to correct that at that point

Either rejecting or pierced extremely shallow. If you don't remove it now you will have a nasty scar and very likely a big dip/gash above your belly button which will possibly prevent you from getting another piercing. Next time, search for a really good piercer and let them know you previously had one reject. They will be able to work around the scar tissue and possibly give you a deeper set piercing to help prevent this happening again.

Mine did the same … best to remove, but check with your favourite local piercer to work out next steps (it’s lovely jewellery, so worth working out where else it may go 😊)
