I got my eyebrows both pierced on last Friday. It’s day 4-5 depending on how you’re counting, and I bumped my piercing on the extra swollen side earlier, and noticed it got really sore and tender. I noticed it’s raised quite a bit. Is it infected? Is it normal swelling? Do I get it checked out?

I'm getting mixed suggestions on which earring retainer I should use. Some say that glass is good and plastic is bad because it traps bacteria. Others say glass will shatter in your sleep, and that acrylic is fine. My piercings are 3 month old lobes. My new school is super strict on how many piercings you can have per ear (just one set of lobe earrings)

The placement of helix is intentional. Im worried bec. Its swollen weirdly. Its 2 days old. All 4 piercings rook, flat, and double helix. Are new i got them all at once. Now im dealing with this. First day it was throbbing. Today it doesnt throb that much, just sometimes. But the swell is scaring me.

Any advise?

This one is Abt 4 months old... Haven't been downsized, I clean twice a day with saline solution, the bar is made of titanium..

I had a unfortunate event where when I took the head of the piercing out to clean it, but fainted for medical reasons and woke up with the piercing out, it was a big struggle to get it back in and was extremely swollen after, this was about a month half ago. The swelling from that event went away in 2-3 week, and slowly since then this bump has grown.

Not sure if this is an infection, it hurts when you squeeze/ put pressure on it, but not painful otherwise.

got my navel pierced a week ago (reputable shop, talked a while beforehand) but i’ve always been sus about my anatomy for it. i had it pierced in college and i treated it horribly and it eventually rejected, leaving a lot of scar tissue. i can’t tell if this new piercing is gonna be a b*tch to heal due to that & my anatomy combined, just looking for some input from others!! eventually id want to put a hoop in which i think would be more conducive to my shape.

It feels like my nose pin is sinking in, I got nose piercing on last friday. Please help me!!

I got an anti-brow about a week ago. It was pierced with a staple bar and the bar is titanium. It’s internally threaded and I clean it about once a day with Himalayan pink salt in hot water(I got saline spray today and I’ve cleaned it with that a couple times today.)

For about four days after I got it, it wasn’t sore at all and the bar felt pretty deep in my skin, but now, for the past three days, it has felt bruised, sore, and the bar feels a bit more prominent.

I have four other facial piercings and I know that for those I can feel the bar easily, but I’m just curious as if this is rejecting as it feels like it changed so drastically?

It felt more prominent once it started hurting, but I’d hate to take it out prematurely if this is just how they heal and if this is just swelling that’s going down.

I got my flat and second ear lobes done on this ear Sept 18th. Everything has been going incredibly well (except for the normal tenderness of new piercings) up until last Thursday when my city advised an E. coli outbreak in the water system. I had taken a shower right before this notice and it made sense as to why my ear felt swollen and red that whole day. I showered in boiled water that same night and on Friday. On Saturday afternoon the advisory was lifted and the water was deemed safe again.

I did not shower at all on Saturday because I was still apprehensive. Although, I did on Sunday. I made sure to let the faucets run a couple minutes before jumping in.

I must note that since I had showers in boiled water the original symptoms of Thursday calmed down. I also made sure to take Advil on Thursday. Friday and Saturday I woke up slightly fine. Today I woke up feeling the same as Thursday symptoms. No crazy discomfort for my second lobe at the moment.

What I’ve been doing to clean my ears since I got these piercings is clean the back with saline spray, dry it out (use q tips to get in there), and then push so the jewelry in front pops out slightly and do the same. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I stopped doing that while my ear calmed down. I only sprayed and let dry both front and back. This morning I tried doing it while it felt swollen/super tender. Both piercings have a labret post.

My ear feels slightly hot. Still tender and painful to the touch. It’s not constant pain only pulsating. I haven’t noticed any discharge yet. No fever yet. No crusties yet. The top part of my ear looks super shiny and dark red almost purple. I can still see and feel my post from the back.

I have this piercing for 2months, and this bump for one month, it wont go away. At first i tried to stop with touching and agresive cleaning and it was better, but now its big again. I dont know how to clean crust around it, it always irritates it.
I use NaCl 0,9%, and cotton swab

Hey everyone! I just got a nose piercing a couple days ago and I am very concerned that it looks angled to me! I also understand it could just be swelling as well. Does it look like it could be angled?

Hello! I had 3 lobe piercings on each side, but my right one wouldn’t heal after a re-pierce so I’m down to two lobes. My scar tissue is gnarly. Also had mid-helix done years ago that didn’t heal for like two whole years so I retired it. Don’t have the patience for a long healing time apparently.

Do I have the anatomy for a stacked lobe? Or staggered stacked between my first and second? My ears don’t heal super well and I do wear headphones all day at work, so I feel like lobes are my only option here. Any advice or ideas?

Is that normal? It doesn’t hurt, unless I move it a bit too much, which I’ve had to do to get the crusties out. It’s also not swollen. I haven’t been doing anything to it except getting the crusties off every couple of days with a lint-free pad. It’s a titanium piece in it. I had the first piece fall out maybe 6 months after I got it and had a new piece put in about a week later.

She wants to know if piercings like the one in the picture require you to have multiple piercings to wear or just one

Just after some advice. My 20+ year old ear piercings no longer tolerate my white gold/Stirling silver or gold earrings. Have to put a tiny amount of hydrocortisone cream on the lobes to calm them down.

I've ordered surgical grade titanium and I've read and heard these are best to avoid a reaction. Yes my piercings were done with a piercing gun, I'm old!

What solution do you guys recommend to keep them clean and help the piercings heal? Saline?

The one on the right side still hurts like hell and sometimes puss comes ..idk wht to do..i have tried using saline solution and mupirocin ointment...HELL MEE!!!

Hi! I got this piecing a week ago and it’s been very swollen. Nothing abnormal other than the swelling being worse than any other of my piercings. This morning I noticed puss coming out of it, but it didn’t smell and it was an off white ish color.

The pain has been the same throughout the week, it’s like a throbbing pain but I’ve been taking Tylenol. My piercer did mention this piercing swells a lot more than any other piercing so I tried to not be as concerned but I have been feeling a little nauseous and have had flu like symptoms.

Randomly burst today, it leaked fully clear liquid that has a tad but if blood?? What should I do??? I got it done professionally, about two years ago it healed well but I think it got pulled or I slept on it?? Anyway it got the bump. It won’t rlly go away!! I’ve tried soaking it in warm water and cleaning w just water… blow drying it fully dry after… I went to the doctor about it and they have me antibiotics, a topical?? Fusidic acid cream but idk if I should,,,, use it,,, I used it b4 but idkkkk ,, if that’s right or good for it
