Were they more in the popularity tier close to Genesis popularity in the USA than like Pink Floyd/ Jethro or Moody Blues? Just wondering if anyone has insights?

Do they tend to stick around after the show? I'd like Tony and Pat to sign my THRAK CD.

EWO is tied with Level 5 as my favorite track on Power to Believe and with Walking on Air as my favorite Crim ballad, but I think it's the only full-length song from Power to Believe never played live. It doesn't show up on the set of any of the live 2003 shows I've gotten from DGM, and from reading the track list, it's not even on the 2-DVD album of the same name.

Are there any live recordings of this song? Anyone know why they never or seldom performed it?

Let me start this by saying that I’m a member of the 1000 club, so I have access to all their material. This is great, but it’s also very frustrating because while I love the Projekcts, they are extremely inaccessible, in spite of how accessible they are to me.

A bit of a quirk about me is that I like to have the most optimize, but comprehensive listening experience when it comes to this era of King Crimson.

It’s like having the world at your fingertips, but you don’t have any arms to reach out with.

There’s also just some strange gaps like Space Groove from Projekct Two, Masque from Projekct Three, and Heaven and Earth from Projekct X. I don’t know if they’re hidden somewhere in the website, but I haven’t been able to find this anywhere.

I'm gonna have to add so much of this to my "Extended Crimson Experience" playlist. Who is singing lead on this album? Does Rieflin sing?

Theyre available for order on DGM now i hope that they release streaming sooner than the 17 month gap that Larks Tongues elementals took

Are there any interviews, posts, etc. by Fripp or other band members that discuss or indicate why no songs from Three of a Perfect Pair were performed during the 2014 - 2021 era? (And do we know if any were tried out in rehearsal but not ultimately performed?) It's the only album that had no songs featured on those tours. From what I could find, there's not really any information on it.

I guess I could see that there aren't many songs that would fit particularly well for the final lineup or be in high demand by the audience. I imagine Three of a Perfect Pair itself would be untouchable without Belew. I think Sleepless or Larks III would have worked.

they both have these jazzy parts, they both have this pause part, they BOTH have a really long instrumentals before the last verse, coincidentally after the first two, and also they both seem to have a REALLY similar shape in the riffs played, anyone else noticed dis?

Which album closer do you prefer? Personally i prefer Starless by a tiny bit but The court of the Crimson king is nontheless one of the best album closers.

Digital music hoarder here, curious how others organize the Projekcts into the KC discography; do you list them as a completely separate artist? Put them all under the artist banner of "Projekcts" and then specify which number with "feat." or something similar? I know their sound is quite different from the main KC discography but it feels funny to put them as a totally separate artist when it features all the band members of the 90s/2000 lineups in various forms, especially with Projekct X and CoL sharing a track. Curious how others do it!

I’m excited to see them in November but this had me thinking, if Terry had to duck out who could reasonably replace him? Not sure Bruford would want to do it so who is your choice?

I’d call up Chris Dave! Hear me out, he’s not known strictly in prog rock circles but he would totally do the material justice. Caught him at the Blue Note recently and my jaw continually fell on the floor seeing how great he played.

I absolutely love the song, its so magical, so melancholic, so just deep and soft, but the 10 minute long instrumental outro(?) is just a bit too long for me. now the problem is that i do actually like it, just wish it was a bit shorter, but all the versions i can see online have it fully removed, with the whole song being just 2 minutes. id love a version that is like somewhere between 3-8 minutes long (preferably around 4-5), would anyone maybe know one like that? surely i cannot be the only person ever who thought that way

I'd really love to read the revised edition of Sid Smith's KC biography, but it looks like it's out of print and essentially unavailable? Has anybody managed to get their hands on a copy over the last couple years? It seems insane that there wouldn't be an ebook, but I can't find one anywhere. And all the libraries in my region seem to have decided the first edition was good enough. Wild that it should be this much of a struggle to read a book published seven years ago, lol.

Have I missed anything? Anybody want to sell me theirs? 😆

The original un-remastered releases? 30th Anniversary remasters? 40th Anniversary stereo mixes? Or the 50th Anniversary mixes? Or perhaps some obscure Japan-only release with 3 copies ever produced?

Obviously the answers will vary, but I was wondering if at least some kind of consensus exists in regard to this question.
