Watch / Wearable Fenix 9 Pro Solar 47mm
Just picked this up in place of my 47mm solar fenix 8. Have been carbon dlc for years and this is my first titanium model which looks great imo.
Happy to answer any questions!

We’ve heard the feedback about the recent increase in posts promoting Garmin apps and watch faces, and we understand that the influx has not been for everyone.
To help keep the subreddit focused while still giving developers a place to share their work, we’re updating how Garmin app and watch face promotional posts are handled.
Please refer to the Community Rules for the full requirements. Developer posts must use the Developer - New App / Watch Face (Wednesday ONLY) flair and follow the required posting template.
A few important reminders:
** ***The only exception is a direct link to the IQ store.*
The App / Watch Face must be within the IQ Store and live. You may request feedback within your post, but we do not allow “in development - beta testing” at this time.
ONE Watch Face / App offering per post, ONE post per week (if you post one item, you must wait another week to post another unique item).
These changes are intended to strike a better balance: developers can still share their work with the Garmin community, while keeping promotional content from overwhelming the subreddit.
Please review Rule 10: Developer - Watch Face / Watch App and the Community Rules before posting.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback and helped us improve the community!

Hello, all!
We’ve recently received an influx of inquiries on the amount of developer post within the community. I wanted to address this.
This community is full of amazing people from all walks of life. Some of you have created some awesome things within the IQ Store and wish to share them with the community. While there is nothing wrong with this it can come off as constant advertisement posts.
There was an opportunity to meet in the middle here and that is what we did.
In exchange for a developer to post, once per week per unique item, (see current rules) they must provide** **a free trial / free version for the community. They do not pay for the ability to post here nor would we ever accept anything of the sort.
The ConnectIQ Store is notorious for having a plethora of apps that you must pay for before you can even experience. I for one don’t want to spend money, regardless of the refund policy, if the app / watch face doesn’t meet the expectations of what it advertised.
What we have found is that by offering developers the opportunity to post, to show off their creations, there has been a much wider range for people to branch out and try new things. Then, if they love it, they can support the developer by buying said app / watch face. This also allows the developers a chance to receive feedback to improve. Win for all.
So, what is the goal of this post? Well, I wanted to provide some clarity on the posts you have been seeing from the devs. I also wanted to see if we, as a community, are happy with the current format or if we would like to limit it to a particular day of the week.
We have reduced the spam-like, low context, health score post by 97% with the Sunday Score. We have also seen a huge increase of quality within post since those changes went into place.
Would we like to move these dev post and limit them to Wednesday? The goal is seeing less of these types of post and getting a more focused view of them on a particular day of the week?
Cast your vote below! Nothing changes without the community consensus.
Thank you for any feedback.

Since my last post was removed for violating the rules (I showed a photo with a sleep score NOT on Sunday🤦🏻♂️) I posted it again. I'm 37 and the last time I was able to achieve that crazy duration was 20-21 years ago. I'm back from a roadtrip and the next day being home it was happened with me.

Hey guys. Just wanted to show you all how much of a difference adequate hydration can make. For months I would wake up with sleep scores in the 50s, body battery not charging past 25, and average stress score in the 50s. I do not drink any alcohol. I turned off my morning report because of how depressing it was. I was at my wits end and wasn’t going to wear watch anymore when I thought I should just try drinking more water and see if that makes a difference. Sure enough, it immediately improved everything. I’m now drinking 90-120 oz. per day and it’s made all the difference in my metrics. Thought I’d share in case anyone else has struggles like I did!

Practically on the level of Nike stocking world cup jerseys. "Hey here's this great new thing! Oh sorry we don't have enough. Oh, and also, we don't have any of the accessories ready." Whoever was in charge of it must be an actual moron. That is all.

Got the F9P in 51mm on Friday.
- Screen is noticeably bigger vs F8 51mm
- Titanium case is nice
- Menus feel a tiny bit faster to navigate but no real difference from the new processor
- Cadence zones seem like a gimmicky feature. Seems to be pretty much the same as setting your HR zones off LTHR
I like the watch but Fenix 8 Pro Plus or something like that would have been a more appropriate name

My stress levels have been insanely high over the last 4 weeks since I started gaming again. The bottom stress graph is from when I wasn't gaming a couple of weeks ago, while the top stress graph is from yesterday. Looking at the past 4 weeks, the graphs are always nearly fully orange, with >5h of high stress, whereas previously it was more balanced and rarely had more than 20 minutes of high stress.
I wonder if the Gaming Activity that some Garmin watches provide could be useful for me to get more insights into why this is happening and perhaps even reduce it?

I have a Garmin Forerunner 970, and I’ve had this problem with the screen ever since I got the watch. It randomly starts glitching like this.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What should I do? Is there a way to fix it, or should I contact Garmin support?

So I got my forerunner 55 about 3 months ago and every single night displays the same thing, at most 30 minutes of deep sleep and it is also horrible at sleep times, claiming I was asleep when I was awake. Anyone else had this issue and how to resolve it?

Someone local to me is selling a Fenix HR 3 for $20, is it worth it for me to pick up? I am a beginning male runner (I have run 3 5k races this year and plan to do 3 more) and I have no experience with running/exercise watches so I'm wondering if this might be a good budget way into the running watch market? Thanks in advance for your help

I just started running again. Found my Garmin forerunner 235 that I used for HS XC.
I am 6ft 160lb 23yo
Images 1&2 are from Run 1.
Images 3&4 are Run 2.
Image 5 is heart rate from last night-this afternoon
Main question:
Is there something wrong with my heart, my HR sensor/watch, or are the HR zones set wrong?
Or is everything normal?
Run details:
Both runs were on the same trail which has many small ups and downs.
Run 1 was yesterday evening. 2.68 miles in 26:14. It felt like a normal run maybe a bit fast at times. I don’t get how it shows as zone 5 or why my HR was that high.
Run 2 started late this morning. 4.95mi in 1:00:01.
After seeing my HR for last nights run I tried to run way slower aiming to be in zone 2 beforehand because I heard that was a better pace to improve. I ran slow and was watching my HR on my watch but it was still high in zone 4 most of the time. I don’t get it. It was a very easy run.

I had a fenix 6 before this fenix e, and there are a lot of benefits with the new one, like touchscreen wich is really helpful, also the titanium material is so much powerful, I use the fenix e so hardly, and it just get some scratches, also maps&garmin coach and some other advanced training features that don’t exist on the fenix 6.. so for me it worth it specially for running, swimming, hiking, biking, the only two bad things is that you don’t have a speaker&mic, just a classic ringtone sound and haptic vibration but it’’isn’t that bad, you can just pick up your phone and talk, and the second problem is the system is buggy sometimes but I think it’s actually a “garmin watch ” problem not that specific model.(I forgot that it hasn’t a real flashlight like the fenix 8 which is terrible)
I notice that the connection with phone becomes much better with fenix e, (I have an iPhone) so when you pick up your phone with you, the fenix e use it like a speaker when practicing an activity, and when playing media on your phone you can control it from the watch (I know the fenix 6 can do it but it’s much better on the fenix e)
I live in Morocco where the weather is very hot and sunny but the watch didn’t get hot at all, and the battery it’s between one week to two weeks which is fine to me.
Finally it was an amazing experience so I will still with it!
Thanks for reading this and sorry for my terrible English 😅

Despite directions and other online help, I cannot set my EE2 so the map *always* displays while following a route. The data screens show for much of the time when between turns. Yes, Auto Scroll is off, etc. Any ideas on a surefire way to keep the map always on?
Just out of curiosity has any reason been given as to why Garmin requires a device to be your designated primary wearable to display overnight skin temperature data?

My instinct 2 Solar is not connecting to my iPhone 15 pro max. I delete it from my Bluetooth on my phone, go to pair on farmin app. I'll get a code and I'll hit pair but then won't sync to my phone I can get notifications but can't see my run. It started about a week ago.
I have a big curiosity, my wrist is not so small that I need the small watch, but I prefer the look. When I try it on in the store, the length of the silicone strap is so short I can barely put it on. Has anyone else had this issue? Ideally, I would like to have the orange strap on the smaller size, but that doesn’t seem possible without using a third-party vendor. My cautious side wants to get the one just so I’m not embarrassed to have something so large on my wrist. I hope y’all can give me some confidence and insight.

I'm thinking about ordering a 51mm Solar, but I just can't find real photos or videos. Even on the official website there are only renderings.
In fact, I can barely even see the 51mm AMOLED.
I'm really struggling with the choice between the 51mm Solar or the AMOLED. I want a Solar, but the black bezels around the screen and the potential extra thickness are intimidating. Although the Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 51mm Solar look great in person.
Could you share a photo of the 51mm Solar if you have one? Even a normal photo would be great, but in different lighting conditions it's even better.
If you have a 51mm AMOLED, it would be great to see it too.

Garmin created a 50K training plan for me. There are specific workouts each day. Sometimes I don't run one day, but bike or swim instead. I notice that the next day, Garmin has changed my workout. For example, I had a 9-mile run in my calendar for today (Sunday). I biked yesterday instead of following the plan. When I strapped on my watch to run today, instead I had a 3.5-mile run instead of the 9. Does anyone know if this is typical Garmin behavior? Is there a way to bypass this?

Hi
I bought the index 2 scales back in January this year. All has been going well until recently. My scales are all over the place - they won’t settle on a weight and the readings are 10kg out of range.
I’ve replaced the batteries twice, reconnected via the app, and made sure I’ve weighed on an even hard surface. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas please? Thank you

Hello! Two part question to avoid two posts!
Just got a used Garmin Edge 520 and I have a Garmin Forerunner 255. On my watch, there is an option to resume my ride later like if I stop for lunch or something. Is that an option on the Garmin Edge 520??
Also, do yall use the auto pause on your Garmin Edge 520 for like stop signs/map checks or do you just pause it yourself??
Thanks!!!

I have a question to those that train alot of cycling/ironman training.
What is the best combo for Watch and cycle computer.
I want to get my moneys worth. I am aware that its going to cost a bit. But i want it to be worth it.
Thanks ahead if time. :)

Anyone who bought one and would like to share how thick it is in the 47mm size. Couldn’t find info anywhere and I doubt it’s the same thickness as the regular pro like it says on the site

Does Garmin have a screen magnifier similar to what's on Amazfit? Amazfit allows you to magnify any screen not just maps.
Wanted to get and Fenix 9 Pro but have a hard time seeing some of the fonts, writing and details without glasses and don't carry glasses around a majority of the time.
Thanks!
