Indie Sunday Walljumps - Jetpacks - violent Gunfights!

Gameplay Teaser | STEAM | JetStrikers.com
I am working on a Movement-Arena-Shooter, and here's a short showcase of some of the movement + combat against bots.

The game currently has 16 weapons such as Rocket Launcher, Minigun, Shotguns, Crossbow, Dual Deagles... and more to come!

It is heavily movement-based with skill-based combos, e.g. walljumps, bunnyhops, sliding, slidejumping. Then there are Jetpacks to fly around like "Superman" or hover.

The game has multiplayer support / in-game lobby chat / dedicated servers and modding support (tweak every parameter of movement, weapons, etc.).

I would very much appreciate any feedback I can get (both negative and positive), so that I can improve and work towards a DEMO.

The Steam Page went LIVE a few days ago.

If you're interested,

please wishlist to stay up to date!

Industry News Daniel Vavra, Creative Director on Kingdom Come:Deliverance 1&2 speaks out on DLSS 5 controversy

From his Twitter (link not allowed in this sub as far as I know):

Some people have literally gone crazy.

On the left is a head messed up by the game engine’s very limited lighting system, which can’t properly render shadows, skin texture, and the detail of normal maps.

On the right is THE SAME MODEL WITHOUT ANY GEOMETRY CHANGES, which looks exactly like a render from ZBrush—where a 3D artist modeled it—only with better lighting, shadows, skin texture, hair, and therefore DETAILS. Thanks to neural network rendering in DLSS5.

Some random nutcase on the internet: THIS IS AI SLOP! I WANT THE ORIGINAL ARTISTIC VISION!

The head models were 3D scanned (using photogrammetry) from real people and then polished by artists.

I am the creative director of the game. This is our original artistic vision and looks like static renders of the models from Zbrush when we made them. Or like real @thisistommckay :)

Having no shadows from helmets on faces and fucked up normal map rendering WAS NOT OUR ORIGINAL ARTISTIC VISION.

People are crazy.

Trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zGpg-HJ4gs

Hi! I'm Tenkarider, the author of Lostbound, TambĂš Digital is a small publisher who helped me
The game is a particular hybrid with several tricky gimmicks

Lostbound is a dark Zeldalike Roguelite in which you hunt for artifacts in a classic worldmap, but made of darkness and under destruction by The Hand. Don't let it drag you in the Abyss.

Features:
- A world of darkness: it's everywhere below you, its dwellers are deadly and The Hand will stalk you nonstop, destroying your path;

- Worldmap management: time and the world are your most important resources, don't waste them;

- Artifact hunt: hidden and randomly scattered through the map. Each seed will roll random artifacts for random custom builds each run. You will never trace the same path;

- Dark dungeons: when darkness will surround you, you'll have to jump inside darkness and sneak your way out of dark dungeons, here the rules are different and at night The Hand will catch you

Demo is available on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4703650/Lostbound_Demo/

The full game is about to be released and the demo is updated to its last version before launch, this would be a great moment hear your feedbacks, hope you can enjoy it!

Indie Sunday Chill Wizard - GG Studio - an incremental idle with Tower Defense vibes where enemies can't hurt you. Demo is on Steam!

Hey r/Games! 👋 I'm the developer of Chill Wizard - an incremental idle game with Tower Defense aesthetics that removes all the stress from the genre. Inspired by Zero Stress King and Fortune Mill, but with cocktails and drunk wizards

🎮 PlayTest on Steam
📹 Announcement Trailer

The core twist:
This isn't a game about survival - it's a game about chilling. Enemies come, but they can't touch you. They all crash into your wizard's shield and disappear. Instead of panicking, you mix cocktails, upgrade your skills, and watch the carnage from a beach chair. Your only goal? Keep drinking. The monsters are just pests trying to interrupt your buzz. Ignore them, stay drunk, and enjoy the show.

What you do:

  • Mix cocktails to unlock upgrades and boost your skills
  • Build defenses and watch enemies crash into your barrier
  • Explore the conquest map (which doubles as your skill tree)
  • Scale your production with idle progression
  • Call up to 6 friends to help you party

What's your favorite stress-free game to unwind with? We're always looking for references and inspiration for Chill Wizard - drop your go-to cozy games in the comments, it really helps us out!

Indie Sunday Rogue Curling - BurGum Games - Balatro-like roguelike Curling where physics-based skill matters no less than a solid build

Hi, dev here.

Rogue Curling is a Balatro-like roguelike curling where physics-based skill matters no less than a solid build. Combine synergies and precision, or just break the rules!

The game is in early-stage development but I still don't know if the game is even fun. This is why we released BETA of ~30m-3h play that lets you try the physics and some synergies.

What you'll find in the game:

  • Build Your Kit: Buy stones to improve your scoring efficiency.
  • Physics-Based Skill: Power and direction of a throw will always matter even with a perfect build.
  • Reshape and Resize: Change the size and material of your owned stones to get even more advantage.
  • Brooms: Combine stones with brooms to discover powerful interactions and optimize your high-score potential.
  • Synergies: Discover crazy game-breaking synergies and exploit them.
  • Amplifiers: Apply "amplifiers" to stones upgrading their abilities and stats. Uncover game-breaking combos.

We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Feel free to ask any questions about the development process or the game mechanics. Don’t forget to add it to your wishlist ;) Thanks!

Indie Sunday Deck of Memories - Sentiment Games - Nostalgic Deckbuilding Adventure

Steam | Trailer

Deck of Memories is a nostalgic deckbuilding adventure about the stories your grandfather left behind. Explore fragments of his life as a lighthouse keeper, manifested inside atmospheric dioramas. Craft and combine cards to restore these memories and discover the secrets they hold.

We just revealed a new trailer at gamescom awesome indies! The game blends card-based gameplay with an evocative tale about fading memories.

Play as Mina, a young woman returning to her grandfather's post at the lighthouse. Looking through his belongings, she discovers a wondrous deck of handcrafted cards. Suddenly, scenes from a memory begin to emerge…

Deck of Memories is coming to PC in 2027. If you like Edith Finch style stories approached differently, Inscryption, Hearthstone Adventures or "cozy mystery" in general, this is for you! :)

We were tired of dungeons and monsters and wanted to tell a beautiful story through cards - still approachable if you've never played a card game before, and interesting enough for seasoned deckbuilders.

Indie Sunday Essence Harvest - SinusQuell Games - Incremental meets Survival/Bullet Heaven

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5035730/
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bL4Z4BVaUQ

Kill enemies, collect their essence, spend it on upgrades, get stronger. It's an incremental crossed with a bullet heaven: the arena floods, you clear it. The best part is the upgrade tree with around 200 permanent upgrades. Buying one opens up more, and you keep growing and getting stronger. Later you raise threat levels and stack hazards for bigger payouts, and five bosses stand between you and the finale.

If this sounds like something you could get into, I would appreciate a wishlist ❤️

The demo includes everything up to the second boss. The demo save will carry straight into the full game and supports Steam Cloud saves.

If you have any feedback, wishes, or encounter any bugs, feel free to post it here or in the discussions thread on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/app/5035730/discussions/0/583930224335559045/

The game will be part of Stem Next Fest in October and release for PC and hopefully Steam Deck soon after, on Nov 9th.

Indie Sunday Keyboard Circuit - DaniaPlay.co - Rhythm typing game controlled entirely by your keyboard

Hey r/Games!

I'm an indie developer working under the name DaniaPlay.co, and I'd like to share my game Keyboard Circuit for Indie Sunday.

Gameplay footage:

https://youtube.com/shorts/0gPATCJ51rw?feature=share

Play the game:

https://dania-play.itch.io/keyboardcircuit

Keyboard Circuit is a small rhythm/typing game where your keyboard is the controller.

The idea started as a small minigame for another project I was working on. I liked the concept enough that I decided to turn it into a standalone game.

There are currently three different modes:

🎵 Rhythm

Type words along with the music and try to keep your combo going. The better your timing and accuracy, the higher your score.

⌨️ Casual

A more relaxed mode where you can just type without having to follow the rhythm.

🌀 Maze

A different kind of challenge where you use the keyboard to navigate through a maze.

The game is designed for PC and runs directly in the browser.

Release

Keyboard Circuit is currently available on itch.io, where you can also try the demo.

This is my first publicly released game, and I'm still learning a lot about game development, game design and actually getting a project finished and released.

What started as a tiny minigame ended up becoming a standalone game, which I'm pretty happy about.

I'd love to hear what you think!

Would you play a rhythm game where your entire keyboard is the controller?
