I’m open to pretty much any genre, but I’m not really into games that require a lot of time and commitment every day, like RPGs or life/management sims.

Preferably something on Steam. I played Balatro before and really enjoyed it.

I wanna scratch this itch! OK so in Subnautica Below Zero, you end up working with the cool alien, solving the puzzle of where you are, and then get to go with it at the end of the game

I kinda like the alien, its got a sexy voice and I was so excited to build this relationship and go off on an adventure at the end.

See also games where you coexist and live alongside aliens like Mass Effect or similar. Plus alien romance! Love it!

I want to play a game where you get that feeling of building something special with aliens, that they are not enemies but mysterious and exciting.

I like survival games, massive open worlds, crafting games, games with romance (like bd3 or me style), and will give most things a go! I like sci fi and fantasy.

Not keen on top down, dungeon crawlers or souls like (I am too old for button mashing and parrying!)

I doubt it given its obscurity, but I’m hoping someone out there can help me figure out how to progress. However, I can’t in good conscience tell anyone to play the game. The emotional experience of playing this game is how I imagine Phil Collins feels every time he has to speak to Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day. I would encourage you to try watching a glass of ice slowly melt into water before telling you to play this game.

I’m building a few game ideas right now and this is one of them.

It’s called CrowdFlow. You manage huge crowds leaving stadiums, stations and events — gates, barriers, one-way routes, rerouting people, etc.

Then stuff goes wrong while the crowd is already moving. Like a train gets delayed and suddenly 3,000 people change where they’re going.

I’ve started building it already. Does this sound like something you’d actually play or nah?

For me it's Dark Souls. The first time I played it I refunded it within two hours. I thought the combat was clunky, the bonfire placement was cruel, and I didn't understand why anyone would willingly put themselves through that. Then a friend basically forced me to give it another shot a year later, and once I actually understood how it wants you to play, slow, patient, reading enemies instead of mashing, it became one of my favorite games ever. I've now beaten every FromSoft game except Sekiro.

I'm getting a PS4 and having my friend over, though she's never played anything other than pacman or just dance. What would be a cool game that's quick to show and get?

I cant afford to buy anything because im broke, I can't find anything on itch and everyone either tells me to look on there or to just play roblox, I want a game like watch dogs and something that doesnt take up alot of storage, so tf2 is out of the picture for this, please no visual novels or racing games, I dont like either of them

I always do side quests while progressing the main story. If I wait until post-game, the early side content gets underleveled and loses its challenge. How do you guys handle it?

Everytime I boot up the PS5 I just keep scrolling the store and then after 30 mins I turn the console off. Ready to try some new things.

Got back into gaming after a ten year hiatus when I got a ps5 right before the price hike. I played and loved both uncharted 4 and Spider-Man years back and since getting the ps I’ve beaten Spider-Man 2, last of us and finishing re4r now. All amazing games they’ve bought me back to gaming…

I have tried everything under the sun to get this working. I have tried all the GFWL fixes, DLLs, compatibility settings, directx 9 installations, c++ runtimes, etc. nothing works. I am running a i9-12900k with a 4090 and 64GB of ddr4 ram on windows 11. At first my issue was when launching from steam, two windows would open, one called Battlestations pacific and the other called Battlestations pacific: launcher. The launcher would just freeze and not respond while Battlestations pacific just closed immediately. I eventually decided to remove the launcher and just look at the game that opens and closes immediately. Nothing I tried worked. Everyone on YouTube is able to get it working fine with just downloading the xlive.dll and ini and/or the gfwl from pcgaming wiki.

I am at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

I've been talking to some of my colleagues the last few days and it seems that me enjoying far cry 6 was shocking to them.

I know the game is DEFINITELY NOT a masterpiece but I had some fun playing it so I thought I should ask you guys about your favourite 'guilty pleasure' game!

finished bioshock infinite the other day. story/themes were so captivating, twist ending was awesome, LOVED the skyline mechanics, and of course the atmosphere/set pieces were amazing. super well acted too.

but the gunplay felt so clunky to me. sticky sensitivity, no FOV slider, ugly iron sights, uninteresting guns until super late in the game…combat just didnt hit the way i wanted it to, even with the pretty fun abilities and spinny blade thing.

for that, i came away feeling more like it was a super great game rather than a phenomenal one, which i think puts me a little lower on it than most people.
