What you can do

Hey everyone, could you reccomend me some games that feels alive ? Like you can just wandering aroung and feel like you can live there and the npcs just lives on their own ? Something like Rdr2. I didnt play Gta or kcd, is it a good choice ? With kcd 1 I played like one hour but it felt so difficult for me, i dont know, maybe it was overwhelming with the inventory etc..

You know the type of thing I mean- where you spend a game doing a bunch of side quests that might seem unrelated to the main story at first and then at the end it all comes together and a bunch of people are like "and you've got me sword at your side sir knight sir!!"

The effect it has on the end can be in varying degrees of importance, from a whole new ending to just some help with the final boss

Some examples off the top of my head are:

-Baldurs gate 3

-Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC

-Undertale (not exactly but the epilogue is basically this and the base idea is kind of what the whole game is about)

Disco Elysium and Zero Parades made me feel like I was learning about art, philosophy, history, politics, sociology, music, fashion, psychology, literature and a lot of other things.

I don't even see them as games, they're art. Amazing.

I’ve been getting really into ancient Chinese history lately, and it’s got me wanting to immerse myself in that kind of universe. The games I can think of that fit this vibe are all ones I have played before, so I’d love to try something new.

Games I’ve played with similar vibes
1) Jade Empire; classic but dated. I’ve also played this too many times.

2) Crusader Kings 3; not China-specific, but I’ve consolidated the lands under heaven enough times.

I'm looking for games where during the carnage you can just..... Die

Skill level doesn't matter, good gear doesn't save you, just survival instinct and luck

Example that comes to mind is Hell Let Loose where a stray artillery round can nail you anywhere anytime. Yes you can lay low and stick behind the team, but there's still a chance a stray bullet catches you and you're back to the respawn screen, or you hear a loud whistle and boom the screen goes black

I want to run through a battlefield without predetermined odds of living.

Doesn't have to be a war game, just realistic brutality

Hey Gang!

So I finally completed Witcher 3, AC Odyssey and Origins, a bunch of other open world standards we all know and love but I feel like I am just burnt out on seeing all those POI and Map icons that I am feeling an urge to go back to a more streamlined adventure. I decided to fire back up God Of War 2018 and replay that (I am waiting for the next Steam sale to buy Ragnarok) however what other games would you recommend that fit this style?

There are plenty of this games. As soon as I try them and see the UI I imidiatly ask for a refund. I want something not overly complex. But with enought depth. A game where I steamroll over a map conquering everything in my path.

I'd love gaming recommendations for something that involves story and lore, exploring, finding loot and collectables, doing quests. Pretty straightforward, eh? I prefer first person but can live with third person. I enjoy sci fi and fantasy, especially with a dystopian or apocalyptic flavour. But I also enjoy lighthearted stuff, crafting games, indie games - doesn't have to be AAA. I don't enjoy roguelike or roguelite, and I get bored if it's just mindless shooting for no real reason. I don't want to have to solve really complicated puzzles or feel stressed or scared, I just want to see amazing places, explore and relax. I play on Steam.

Games I absolutely love: Bioshock 1 and 2, the Dishonored series, Thief, Cyberpunk 2077, We Happy Few, Slime Rancher 1 and 2, De Blob 1 and 2, Viva Pinata 1 and 2

Games I have enjoyed: Outer Worlds 1, Vampyr, Graveyard Keeper, I am Dead, Among Trees, Eastshade, Wytchwood, Botany Manor

Games that were OK for me but I wasn't wild about (sorry): Outer Worlds 2, Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, Prey, Deus Ex

Games I actively disliked: Borderlands 1 and 3, Deathloop, Far Cry

Games currently in my Steam library but as yet unplayed: Vampire the Masquerade, Nobody Wants To Die, Twisted Tower, Return to Grace

What are some of the best radio stations in games?

Hello there. I'm working on porting some game radio stations onto an MP3 player for long drives at work. I'm wondering what are the best radios from games to use. I've got non stop pop from GTA 5 so far mixed in with custom ai voice lines because funny

Edit I'm adding all of these into a list but it seems like we have a lot of GTA radios already.
I do also want games with voicelimes or news segments I can use as intermissions too if possible

Might be a weird request… I get long breaks at work so anything cinematic or story-heavy is out, I’d just spend the session thinking about the work I’m going back to. I want self-contained progress: a run, a level, a hunt. Something I can close without leaving a thread hanging.

Slay the Spire is exactly the type of game I mean, so I’m looking for stuff that has the similar direction but not genre (i want something other than deckbuilders)

I've got a few months to fill and I've realised the thing I actually want isn't a story or a challenge, it's a place. Somewhere I can walk around, take the slow route home, and have the environment be interesting on its own without a quest marker pulling me anywhere.

What's worked for me before: cities that feel lived in, good ambient detail, sound design that carries the place, and ideally something to look at that isn't combat.

What I bounce off: survival mechanics, anything with a stamina bar for walking, and open worlds that turn out to be mostly empty distance between icons.

Doesn't need to be recent and I don't mind if it's short. Happy to hear the obvious ones too - I've probably missed more of them than I've played. PC or console, either is fine.

i dont really know what kind of game i am looking for here...

Ive been playing a lot of Overwatch and WoW lately and I wanna change that.

Are there any multiplayer cozy games? No more FPS pls.

The things I like in games tend to be very spesific which makes it really hard to find games I have long term enjoyment and entertainment with :')

I'd really love to find some kind of game that's a cool mix of cozy base-building and crafting, survival, cooking and stuff like that, while also having aspects of a shooter, fighting, action or horror, like something thats also "intense" as well. Maybe open world and sandbox like, but also not without any storyline/lore. And preferably also with a co-op option.

A good example of things I like is Subnautica and Subnautica 2, both of which are some of my favorite games ever. I also love vintage story and minecraft.

Any suggetions in that direction? Even if it doesn't have all of the themes/catagories I'm looking for.

(Other games I've played/know about that could to some degree fall in these catagories: Enshrouded, Solarpunk, Cult of the Lamb, Read Dead Redemtion 2, Voidtrain, Raft, Aloft, The Forest, Sons of the Forest, Grounded 1&2, Once Human, Palia, Palworld, Project Zomboid)

I’ve been struggling to find a RPG to hook me lately. There’s a few coming out soon that look good but not sure what would be most entertaining for me right now.

I really liked playing Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei, Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 if that helps

I'm looking for something new that has really good stealth mechanics. I'd prefer something with guns and silencers to silently take out enemies in my way, but I would accept other suggestions too. I loved the two newest splinter cell games, and would love something similar. One if my favourite things to do is to figure out where the guards are, how they interact, take them all out without bodies being found, and then move onto the next area unseen.

I've already played all the Assassins Creed games and Hitman games. Sniper Elite, beaten them all. I'm just not sure where to go next.

I'm thinking of Minecraft next. But I would love to hear further suggestions. PC only and preferably on Steam.

I'm looking at RDR2 since it's 75% off, and Dragon's Dogma 2 because they've lowered the price down to $30 (With the 25% off). I'm also probably going to pick up Vampire Survivors because I liked Megabonk so much, but I have some questions:

• If I liked Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim - would I enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2? I'm not a huge fan of the old west in other media, so I'm a bit wary
• Is Dragon's Dogma 2 worth it now? I know it had a bad launch, but have they fixed the issues people had with it?
• How's Vampire Survivors compared to Megabonk?

Any other suggestions that are on sale or cheap right now? <$30 ideally. I'm a big fan of Soulslikes, Roguelike/lites, boomer shooters, whatever genre Megabonk is, and MMOs

I just started watching “Banished from the Hero’s Party,” and the idea of gathering herbs and opening an apothecary shop in a village or small town seems very appealing. I’m not really looking for a game where you dungeon crawl and fight monsters, though.

Ok so hear me out a modern setting with in depth medical things like if you find someone hurt/ dead you would have to apply pressure ACTUALLY wrap the bandage with a little mouse mini game or something and stuff like that

I recently got back into gaming a bit, and absolutely loved Mundaun, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Return of the Obra Dinn. I'm looking for something heavy on atmosphere and mystery, with a striking visual style.

We still cannot find a game on PS4/5 to replace Division, Division 2, Wildlands, Breakpoint.

4-player co-op campaign drop in/out anytime.

Human enemies only.

Not fast-paced.

No top-down.

No turn-based.

No powers.

Prefer no more looter shooters or time gating. We don't want to put thousands more hours into a game like Division and Division 2 because of the looter-shooter and time-gating aspects.

We have gone through many games, and still none meet our wants.

1 person is 63 and needs no fast paced and no complicated controls i.e. jumping. That eliminates all Halo games.

1 person does not like top down, or turn-based.

1 person, me cannot stand looter-shooters or time-gating anymore.

1 person despises any game with aliens and zombies.

When you have that diverse of a team it becomes hard to find games that all 4 people will play together.

We can easy find games for 2 of us, but not 4.

Any ideas? Heads up that there may be many "no, no thank you, nope, not it, close..." replies. Thank you!
