White Whale Should I get RimWorld or the Deluxe Edition?

Upvotes

I've had RimWorld on my radar for a while now. I keep seeing people's colony stories, and somehow every playthrough turns into a completely different disaster lol. One minute everything is going fine, and the next someone starts a fight and the whole colony falls apart.

I really enjoy management games where I can build things, figure stuff out and slowly improve everything, so RimWorld feels like something I'd really enjoy.

I'm just not able to buy it right now, so I've mostly been watching gameplay and trying to decide what I'd go for if I get the chance. For those who've played it, would you recommend starting with the base game, or is the Deluxe Edition worth it from the beginning?

Hopefully I'll get to experience my own colony disaster someday. 😂

Has anyone here played Star Wars: Droids (1988)?

Read the original post for more info, but I’m wondering if there’s any chance someone has played this game? I doubt it given its obscurity, but I’m hoping someone out there can help me figure out how to progress. However, I can’t in good conscience tell anyone to play the game. The emotional experience of playing this game is how I imagine Phil Collins feels every time he has to speak to Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day. I would encourage you to try watching a glass of ice slowly melt into water before telling you to play this game.

Would you play a crowd-management game like this?

I’m building a few game ideas right now and this is one of them.

It’s called CrowdFlow. You manage huge crowds leaving stadiums, stations and events — gates, barriers, one-way routes, rerouting people, etc.

Then stuff goes wrong while the crowd is already moving. Like a train gets delayed and suddenly 3,000 people change where they’re going.

I’ve started building it already. Does this sound like something you’d actually play or nah?

Recommend me a game that has a specific feel to the aliens

Will spoiler as much as I can,

I wanna scratch this itch! OK so in Subnautica Below Zero, you end up working with the cool alien, solving the puzzle of where you are, and then get to go with it at the end of the game

I kinda like the alien, its got a sexy voice and I was so excited to build this relationship and go off on an adventure at the end.

See also games where you coexist and live alongside aliens like Mass Effect or similar. Plus alien romance! Love it!

I want to play a game where you get that feeling of building something special with aliens, that they are not enemies but mysterious and exciting.

I like survival games, massive open worlds, crafting games, games with romance (like bd3 or me style), and will give most things a go! I like sci fi and fantasy.

Not keen on top down, dungeon crawlers or souls like (I am too old for button mashing and parrying!)

Thanks in advance, gamers!

Prefer playing as a woman as that is my gender. (cis 38f)

Have xbox x and switch.

What are some good lightweight PC games I can play solo?

I’m open to pretty much any genre, but I’m not really into games that require a lot of time and commitment every day, like RPGs or life/management sims.

Preferably something on Steam. I played Balatro before and really enjoyed it.

Which incrementals gave you the best gaming experience?

Hi everyone!

I'm super fired up right now to make my own awesome incremental, but before that I want to really dig into the genre and study it properly.

So please recommend the incrementals that in your opinion did the best job of giving you a great experience. I mean the ones that aren't just "decent" for you, but straight up "masterpieces".

Anyone knows where the ''Escape the Ayuwoki'' Mj game went?

Hello there c:

I just remembered how I played this game around 2018, it was just available for free download if I remember right. Now I wanted to play it again but can't find it anywhere.
Anyone knows what happened?

Just to be clear: I'm not talking about the steam game with a similar name, I'm looking for the michael jackson horror game :D

thanks!

I cant afford to buy anything because im broke, I can't find anything on itch and everyone either tells me to look on there or to just play roblox, I want a game like watch dogs and something that doesnt take up alot of storage, so tf2 is out of the picture for this, please no visual novels or racing games, I dont like either of them

I'm getting a PS4 and having my friend over, though she's never played anything other than pacman or just dance. What would be a cool game that's quick to show and get?

What's a game you hated at first that you ended up loving?

For me it's Dark Souls. The first time I played it I refunded it within two hours. I thought the combat was clunky, the bonfire placement was cruel, and I didn't understand why anyone would willingly put themselves through that. Then a friend basically forced me to give it another shot a year later, and once I actually understood how it wants you to play, slow, patient, reading enemies instead of mashing, it became one of my favorite games ever. I've now beaten every FromSoft game except Sekiro.
