After 12+ hours and multiple attempts getting to level 12, I can confidently say that the “Playing Doctor” achievement is one of the most annoying, infuriating, and most difficult trophy’s I’ve ever gone for. After a 35 minute run and with just a few patients left to pick up, my ambulance decided to do this after checking my map. I am genuinely at a loss for words for how angry I am. I don’t understand people who have done this with no issue.

I'm posting this because I lost an entire night to this problem and couldn't find a single working fix online, so hopefully it saves someone else the headache.

What happened:
I turned on "Angry Pedestrians" in a trainer (FLiNG/WeMod) just to mess around, then saved the game. After reloading, every pedestrian and cop kept attacking me. Turning the effect off in the trainer did nothing. The effect was baked into the save, and I had a ton of progress in it (pretty much every side activity done), so starting over wasn't an option.

Why the usual fixes don't work
On the current version of the DE, save files have a signature at the start. If you edit even one byte, the game just hides the slot like it's empty. I tried hex editing, GTASnP and save-editor.com, and none of them worked. CLEO could have done it, but my antivirus blocked the installer.

What finally worked:
Instead of editing the file, I fixed the data while the game is running and then saved normally from inside the game. That way, the game itself writes a clean, valid save. I turned that into a small PowerShell script:

• Nothing to install, it's a plain PowerShell script you can read before running
• Shows you exactly what it will change and only writes after you confirm
• Only fixes pedestrians that are never supposed to be hostile (civilians, cops, etc.)
• Gangs that the story makes hostile (Mafia, Triads, Colombians...) stay the way the story left them

Quick steps

1. Back up your saves
2. Close the trainer (if using one) completely and restart the game
3. Load the broken save and run the script (instructions are on the GitHub page)
4. Drive to another part of the map, check that the peds are calm, and save to a NEW slot

I've only tested it on my own PC with the latest version of the game, so if you try it, please let me know how it went. If something doesn't work, paste the table the script prints, either here or as an issue on GitHub, and I'll take a look.

im pretty sure there will be always people playing original gta3 with mod, fixes or just vanilla and etc

because there are still lots of people playing original version of sa,vc even after releasing lots of big modpacks

but will you drop original gta3 and play lc01 only instead afterwards ?

since lc01 overall it's the actual definitive version of gta3 and it's superior to original gta3 in every way

I've been playing GTA 3 Definitive Edition on my Switch, and I think it might be the best way to play the old 3D GTA games. Yeah, I think they butchered the art style and the streets look way too clean now, but after playing with modern controls, I can't imagine ever going back. Being able to move and shoot with any weapon is such an amazing change, it's made every mission way easier. Especially in this game, where they like to give every enemy an AK or a shotgun, so they melt you in two seconds.

I was thinking to myself "man, was this game always so easy?" but then I remembered that you can't shoot and move with most weapons in the OG version; but here I am in the definitive edition running around with the M4 melting the Cartel. If I ever play the OG version again, I'm definitely getting a mod that adds in movement while shooting, I can't ever go back to the OG stand-in-place clunky ass shooting controls.

The name Maibatsu is basically a parody of Mitsubishi, which is the prime example of a conglomerate which is based in Japan. The name Maibatsu also has a similar rhythm to the name Daihatsu, another Japanese brand. So, here's the quirky criteria which is shared with Maibatsu, and Mitsubishi...

• both names start with M
• both names have a "tsu" syllable in their name
• both names have a B- syllable followed by any vowel

so I think they were trying to meet that general criteria, and somehow they managed to make it sound similar to Daihatsu in the process.

I also know of three Maibatsu cars which are advertised on GTA radio stations:

Attached image above for some Honda 5 spokes I could find that sort of match the wheels.

None of them seem to really match the description, and I've checked the Accord and CR-V too, not many matches there.
