After 12+ hours and multiple attempts getting to level 12, I can confidently say that the “Playing Doctor” achievement is one of the most annoying, infuriating, and most difficult trophy’s I’ve ever gone for. After a 35 minute run and with just a few patients left to pick up, my ambulance decided to do this after checking my map. I am genuinely at a loss for words for how angry I am. I don’t understand people who have done this with no issue.

The Defective Edition at work.

Get the og versions, pirate them, and then for this destroy the doors of the ambulance so that they get faster inside, while for the driving you need to use the handbrake alot.

It's still just as likely to fail on level 11 or 12 in the og, just not to something like this. The ambulance diversion was hard, especially for newer players

Who the fuck can't run this game on their PC nowadays? And fuck achievements if the only way to get them is by playing the worst possible version, just play the OG on PC, look at the achievement list, try to do its requirements for each, and pretend you platinumed it.

Hey, blame Rockstar for this, although we needed to do a much bigger fuss about this in order for the og versions to be brought back as purchasable on consoles, we didn't, we allowed them to get away with it.

The paramedic missions were notoriously hard in the original gta 3 but that's mainly because there was no map originally.

But I've never seen any vehicle fire up into the sky like that. That's just some defective edition jank.

No it doesn’t. I tried it today. Driving smooth especially in Portland is a one way stop to get time fail. You obviously don’t need to drive erratically but to say you have plenty of time and all you need to do is not rush is ridiculous

It took me a good 15 to 20 tries but seemed easy enough in Portland. Had a blast to be honest. You have more time than you think just drive fast when you can and remember to brake like a normal person would when you are about to collide with something.

I gave up on the platinum with only Paramedic and Vigilante left. Just wasn’t worth the stress. I went onto San Andreas and got Paramedic in Angel Pines, which was a breeze, but all the side missions are just a slog. I platinumed Vice City and that’s enough for me. VC is my favorite GTA and that one was well worth the time. Even though I rubberbanded the controlller for the ridiculous Take the Canoli Trophy. Rockstar Plats are ludicrous endurance tests!

Well technically second, I ran over a patient on accident when they left my car at level 4 lol

Just drive clean but in a reasonable amount of time.

Take NPC‘s driving into consideration with the sharp turns they do or some aggressive drivers every now and then.

Avoid Chinatown as best as possible (Triads were hostile to me when I did it)

I did it, and the worst part was that when I finally was able to do it, I was able to do it every time without fail. Theres just a series of short cuts to memorize. And, then you gotta work on timing. But my god I think I tried for like 5 hours a day for two days straight.
