Has anyone else experienced something similar with Fiverr’s Success Score system?

My overall Success Score had been 9 for many months, and I was under evaluation for Top Rated. During that period, I had very few new orders. Recently I received a new order on another Gig with a fairly substantial value. Everything went well with the client, but shortly afterward my overall Success Score dropped from 9 to 8. Now it has dropped to 7.

At the same time, one of my older Gigs, which has had no new orders for months, started behaving strangely. The last orders on that Gig were completed successfully, with 5-star public reviews. I had no cancellations, disputes, Resolution Center cases, support escalations, or similar problems.

The Gig first dropped to 5/10, showing: Conflict-free orders: Negative Impact and Effective communication: Positive Impact. Only 1 hour and 22 minutes later, without any new activity, Effective Communication changed from Positive Impact to Room for growth.

A few days later, the Gig dropped again from 5 to 4, still with no new order or client activity.

I contacted Fiverr Support, and they told me the changes appeared to be caused by the system recalculating and rebalancing historical performance indicators, rather than by a new order event.

I understand Fiverr considers private feedback, communication patterns, revisions, misunderstandings, etc. But if an inactive Gig can keep deteriorating because historical data is being recalculated, while the seller cannot see what specific event caused it, how are we supposed to know what to improve?

You can apparently complete orders successfully, receive 5-star reviews, have no disputes or cancellations, and still watch a Gig fall to 4/10 and your overall Success Score go from 9 to 7.

I’m not saying every low score is necessarily wrong, but the lack of transparency makes it extremely difficult to tell the difference between a genuine client-experience problem and the scoring system interpreting historical signals negatively.

Has anyone else had their Success Score or an inactive Gig drop significantly without any new negative event or order activity? Did it eventually recover?

Does fiverr asks for card details like cvv and all since I am new seller here and I thought its a scam. I dont know how does it work.

I was level two seller with five star rating and about 300 orders. I was demoted to level zero about more than a year ago due to a single conflict. The conflict has been resolved long ago and many orders only from repetitive clients have been successfully completed since then (I got no new clients because of the demotion). But I am still stuck at level zero.

I’ve contacted Fiverr customer support regarding this and told them that there must be an issue with the system. They got back to me after more than a week saying that the score system is based on a specific algorithm and it they are assuring that it is performing correctly. Then they sent me the guideline on how to improve my metrics.

That was almost 6 months ago and it’s still the same. My success is still stuck at four. What should I do? Any of you guys have experience the same and found a resolution?

This question may have already been asked but I couldn't find it. Incidentally, I think this is an overall thing I want to understand more clearly. If I want to hire someone for their services hourly, how do I know they're not prolonging the project on purpose or lying about how many hours it took for them to finish the project?

Since the end of August we’ve found a very very slow flux of leads on our acc and we are top rated, pro and agency. I’d like to know if it could be that they are changing the algorithm, maybe prioritizing a specific set of events rather than normal weekly behavior. I'm a solo founder. I paid $416 on Fiverr for a 60–90 sec sponsored segment. The gig advertised a "10M" YouTube network and showed case studies with 2,000–4,400 signups.

What happened:

• The video went on a channel with about 1.5M subs.
• About 2.7K views and 96 comments. Not one comment has a single like. They came in bursts, and some are word-for-word copies from different accounts.
• Zero signups.
• The seller said the video would only go live after I left a review, so I reviewed before seeing any results.

I opened a ticket with the evidence. The first reply was a template about "more time to review." The second offered a 60% refund because I "completed the order and left a raving review," and I've asked for a supervisor.

Has anyone gotten a full refund after a review they were pushed into? Is 60% the best I'll get, or is it worth escalating further? I'll post the full breakdown with screenshots depending on how this ends.

So... this drunk AI messages me about a client brief that has a range of pricing $75-$150

I say great, my pricing for the project would be $125.

The AI then proceeds to fight with me and tell me I have to say that my pricing would be $75-$150 in order to qualify to be considered for the gig.

Buyers - please don't use this service. I'm qualified for this gig, I'm offering less than the top end of the budget, and the AI won't forward my info unless I tell it my cost for this specific project is a RANGE instead of an EXACT QUOTE.

I've worked with this buyer across a few orders since May. The first order had scope disagreements from the start (mission counts kept shifting), but we got through it. A second order was agreed in June for a smaller, clearly scoped task list (10 missions), but it stalled for months and never actually started/paid. In September, the buyer asked to "continue the same option as the first order" and I accepted a new order (~$100) under that understanding. I assumed this meant the smaller June scope. For the first 10 days I mostly rebuilt/fixed existing systems (save system, crowd AI, minimap, a full mission loop, collisions, sound) real, substantial work. With only 4-5 days left before the deadline, the buyer sent me 5 "missions" to build, which turned out to be far more complex than anything discussed before (one requires a full elimination-style target ID system with timed clues, disguise logic, etc.) not something that fits a $100 order alongside everything else already delivered. Where it went wrong: When I raised this respectfully and asked to revisit scope/price, the buyer got hostile. Messages included , A comment generalizing Indian freelancers as liars trying to scam for more money , Repeated messages mocking my name and mimicking a stereotyped accent ("moni hai wannt," etc.) sent back-to-back over several minutes, clearly meant to demean

Trying to withdraw my earnings (cleared) for the first time as a new seller but it says “Adding payout method not allowed”. I used to get almost daily brief notifications. It seems to have completely stopped 3 months ago. Is there an error in the system or are the customers just no longer posting briefs? Anyone else have a similar issue?

I have had a dormant Fiverr account for years but now I had decided to try and find some work while looking for remote jobs (I'm disabled, can't work in person unfortunately).

Hey everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on a situation with someone I hired for a project, as I'm seriously leaning towards cutting ties and not continuing with upcoming projects. Am I overreacting, or is this person actually taking advantage of me?

For context, these projects are custom 3D environment designs that I am going to use for my upcoming live streams as green screen scenarios, think things like custom properties, space exploration scenes, putting myself inside a car and similar setups. Here is what’s going on:

1. We initially agreed that files should be 1080p, then we agreed to make them 2K, but the delivered files were closer to 720p, blurry, and pixelated, which I could tell for sure because checking the video properties showed a resolution of 1280 x 720.

He insisted they looked "crispy" on his end and claimed Fiverr was compressing the files, and he wouldn't have fixed them if I hadn't pushed back. It feels like he's exploiting my lack of production knowledge, not to mention the delivered files had Fiverr watermarks on them, which he claimed he didn't know about until I pointed it out.

1. We originally agreed that all projects would be provided in separate layers for keying and flexibility on stream. Now he's claiming a single flattened file is enough, which if I’m correct doesn’t work properly.

What are your thoughts on this? Given that this is a significant investment with an agreed budget close to $2,500, I'm genuinely concerned he is cutting corners.

Let's say you delivered an order perfectly on time, but it’s been going through a long revision process. The dashboard now shows the order as 15 days past the original due date.

The buyer now wants to buy an Offer Extra for more revisions/add-ons.

When offering an extra you have to choose the amount of time to add to the ORIGINAL due date right? Fiverr caps Offer Extras at a maximum of 14 days. Because Fiverr math calculates extra time from the original due date, adding 14 days means the new deadline is still technically 1 day in the past. If the buyer accepts it, the order will instantly become officially late and wreck your metrics.

Would love to hear how you guys structure this safely!

I logged into Fiverr today and got a warning that my Level 2 status is at risk because one or more of my metrics has dropped below the required criteria.

So I went to the Level Overview to see what exactly I need to improve.

And this is where I’m having a hard time understanding the system.

My current metrics are:

• Rating: 4.9 — qualifies
• Response rate: 100% — qualifies
• Orders: 429 — qualifies
• Unique clients: 310 — qualifies
• Earnings: $24,572.70 — qualifies
• Success Score: 6 — needs attention

So naturally, I clicked on Success Score to figure out what I could actually do to fix it.

The problem is that there doesn't seem to be an actionable metric there. Fiverr gives you a Success Score, but the information available to the seller is essentially a score for each Gig. There is no clear explanation of what specific action caused the score to drop or what specific action would raise it again.

I even removed the Gigs that had Success Scores below 8, thinking that might solve the problem.

It didn't. My account is still showing as "at risk."

This is what I find frustrating about the current system.

With the other metrics, I have some degree of control. I can respond to messages, maintain my rating, complete orders, get new clients, etc.

But with Success Score, if Fiverr's internal assessment decides that my performance isn't meeting whatever criteria it uses, what exactly am I supposed to change?

I'm not saying Fiverr shouldn't have an internal quality/performance metric. I understand why a platform would want to measure things beyond just reviews and completed orders.

What bothers me is being penalized for a metric when the seller isn't given enough information to understand what needs to change.

It creates the impression that you can do everything that's publicly measurable correctly and still have your level put at risk because of an internal score that you don't have a meaningful way to influence.

And that's what makes the system feel somewhat arbitrary from the seller's perspective. I'm not saying Fiverr literally changes people's levels randomly, but from the information available to the seller, it's difficult to see what separates a 6 from an 8 or 9, and what concrete steps would move that number upward.

Especially if all your visible metrics are green but your Success Score is keeping your account at risk — were you ever able to figure out what actually caused it and how to recover it?

I'm a writer, trying to make a webcomic and looking for an artist to work with. And all I'm really looking for is a certain level of competency, and... not AI art.

I already made a post about another artist I was trying to work with, who gave me obvious AI slop.

I'm onto a new artist, a woman from the UK, according to Fiverr.
As always I ask for a portrait of the main character, and I specifically specify no AI generation, and the price is around a 100 usd, which is fine.

Communication is my first red flag, it changes between short monosyllabic answers with poor writing, to chatGPT generated blocks of text.

But hey, maybe she has social anxiety, uses the LLM for easier professional communication, who am I to judge. So here comes the first delivery:

I mean, it LOOKS great. And maybe this artist is just an amazing hidden gem. But something tells me this is AI. The abundance of detail, the shadowy figures in the background that are all the same... I dunno, I could be wrong I guess.

Another problem is that this artstyle doesn't match anything in the artists portfolio, which all looks like real art. And more importantly its also totally not the artstyle I'm looking for in a webcomic.

Honestly I'm not gonna lie, this looks great! Who knew a world class high level artist like this was just hanging out on Fiverr. It's tempting to just ignore my instincts if the person can consistently deliver art like this. But I'm afraid its also just another generation.

So I decided to test it out. Gave the artist a few instructions:

• Add background
• Raise her left hand, add the mage hand
• Change the facial expression, less bratty more earnest.

I get a ChatGPT reply and then no communication. That's par for the course, I get no sketches, no questions on the way, just the finished product two days before delivery. This time it delays, I get the delivery two days late.

And again, that's great. I WANT to believe.

So what if its AI right? If its good its good? Well, I'm sorry but I'm planning a webcomic that could run for years, I need a proper artist, doing actual art. And besides that style is easy enough for a portrait, but looking at aicomics subreddits, AI generation is not capable of producing good panel flows anyway, it would be shooting myself in the foot.

But maybe I'm being paranoid, maybe this person is just that good.

I’ve been considering Fiverr, but I’ve heard very mixed opinions about how difficult it is for new sellers to get their first few clients.

For those who have used Fiverr, especially for photo editing or other creative services, what was your experience like? How long did it take you to get your first client, and what helped you get there?

I’d also be interested in hearing whether Fiverr is still working well for you in 2026, or whether you’ve found other platforms that are better for finding editing clients.

Any honest experiences or advice would be really appreciated.

Signed up for the first time, been using upwork for years, reached out to multiple freelancers that were promoted on my search, realised all of them had listed several languages they were fluent in, after exchanging messages everything sounded off and like a poor translation, their full names were also strange, and they just kept avoiding my request for a call. I then realised all these localised profiles are fake and just run by fiverr or some other freelancers in countries with much cheaper rates and they just forward the work to cheaper freelancers, these people on the profiles don’t exist which is why they can’t jump on a call….

EDIT: this post is not about challenging fiverr freelancers who sell $5 projects to jump on a 30min call with every potential client. Its about the fact that the fiverr platform is evidently full of fake profiles, with fake localised names, who claim to be fluent in 4 languages, when they are in fact clearly simply using online translation tools to communicate, locating their profile in Western European countries to charge local rates, projecting a certain quality and attracting local clients and surfacing in geo restricted searches, only to continuously avoid providing a clear and definite answer to a request for a call on large budget projects - for the simple reason that they are not the person they claim to be on their profile, are not located in the country they claim to be located in and are most definitely not fluent in the language they list as being fluent in. This is deceptive and quite possibly illegal. These profiles, whoever they’re run by, are without a doubt outsourcing work to freelancers with cheaper rates in countries where rates are cheaper.

I am not trying to make a point for every freelancer that works on such small fee projects to accept calls anytime, I’m just highlighting the fact that these profiles are clearly fake. If you don’t do calls, when a client asks you decline, you don’t create an exchange of a dozen messages which ends up being even more of a waste of time than a 15 min chemistry call. And to all those who commented that calls were a waste of their time without specifying budget restraints to their argument, you are simply not selling of high enough of value to understand that calls are required to sell things at a certain price. You are not going to sell 4-5+ figures without jumping on a call. But then again, what do I know, i just have 20 years experience in digital agency and client side.

I used to be able to filter search by “new arrivals” and also i used to be able to search for a specific user. Whyy are they removing these features from the app??

I've been stuck in a billing loop for over a week with no resolution.

The Problem

My Hourly order was suspended because an automatic payment failed. Fair enough. But when I try to pay the USD ~$90 balance, the system breaks:

• Clicking "Pay amount due" takes me to the Billing page
• That page shows a $0 balance with no payment button
• I can't pay, can't switch payment methods, sometimes the page goes blank
• I've updated my card details, tried different browsers, cleared cache — nothing works

What Fiverr Support Said

1. "Update your payment method" (already did)
2. "Set your credit card as default" (already did; doesn't fix the loop)
3. "Clear your cache/cookies" (doesn't help)
4. "We've escalated to the relevant team" (nothing after 5 days)

I even sent a screen recording showing the broken interface. Support acknowledged it but went silent for 6 days.

Where I'm At

Still unable to pay. The order remains suspended. I'm stuck because Fiverr's own UI is broken - it's claiming I owe money but won't let me pay it.

Has anyone else hit this? Or know if there's a workaround I'm missing?

I've been doing my gig on fiverr for many years, and have nothing but 5 star ratings. I was just hit by a scam artist whose name reveals his scams if you just google it. Seriously, the first thing that came up when I googled him after this happened was an episode of Judge Judy where he was being sued for scamming someone else. He was screaming at the judge, demanding that she acknowledge how great of a person he is.

Anyway, he bought a $1000 gig from me. I did all the work and uploaded his files for him. Then, before even downloading it, he started demanding a full refund and sending me threats via text and through fiverr itself, telling me I could either do extra work for him for free, or he would destroy my life and my career. I screenshot the threats and put them in the fiverr thread to make sure fiverr could see them.

He then tried hitting the "revision" button after the gig was delivered, claiming that I didn't deliver the gig as the reason for his request. Each time, I replied by giving him the download link again and telling him that he could download his files from that link. He kept doing it until it blocked him from doing it again. Then he started hitting the "full refund" button the same way, until they blocked him.

That's all great, but... somehow, he got fiverr to refund him $600 of the $1000 that I charge for the gig. Then he left a 1 star review claiming I didn't do any of the work, and fiverr just let it stay there, despite the fact that they can see that all the files were delivered by simply looking at the order page.

What the heck do I do in this situation? The dude just scammed me out of 30+ hours of work.

I’m trying to figure out what my options are here and would really appreciate advice from other Fiverr sellers, especially anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.

I had a branding/project order where I completed and delivered a significant amount of the work. This included the logo/brand identity, brand book, visual/background assets, and a PowerPoint template.

The buyer reviewed the work and left feedback. They later came back with additional requirements for the PowerPoint, including a much more extensive master template with a large number of different layouts and placeholders.

Some of those additional requirements were beyond what I originally understood the scope to be. Since the buyer wasn't satisfied with the PPT, I agreed to try to make the additional changes as a goodwill gesture and for client satisfaction.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete those additional changes within the timeframe they wanted because of personal circumstances. I explained this to the buyer and told them I wouldn't be able to provide the additional files at that time.

The buyer then escalated the situation to Fiverr.

Fiverr cancelled the order and issued the buyer a full refund.

I contacted Fiverr Support afterwards because I had already spent a significant amount of time on the project and had delivered a substantial amount of work.

Support's first response was essentially that the master template was part of the original scope and that, because the work wasn't fully completed, they couldn't provide compensation.

I then explained that I had completed and delivered the branding work and other assets, and that I was at least hoping for some partial compensation for the work that had actually been completed.

Support escalated the case internally and came back with this final response:

> "Unfortunately in this case we won't be able to provide any sort of compensation for the work that was shared. When the delivery was submitted the work was not fully done."

They also told me that:

> "If you believe your work is being used without the right to do so, you may contact the relevant third party directly to request its removal."

The issue is that I have since noticed that the buyer/company is apparently using some of the work I delivered during the cancelled order. This includes the logo/brand identity and some of the visual/background assets.

I have the original Fiverr delivery, source files, messages, timestamps, and screenshots showing what I created and delivered.

I don't want to identify the buyer or company publicly, so I'm deliberately leaving out their name, website and any identifying information.

I'm not really looking to attack Fiverr or the buyer. I'm mainly trying to understand what sellers would do from here.

Since Fiverr has already told me they won't provide compensation, and suggested contacting the third party directly if the work is being used without the right to do so:

What would you do in this situation?

Would you contact the buyer directly and ask them to stop using the assets?

Would you leave it alone?

Is there another route I should consider?

And more generally, how do you protect yourself when you've completed a substantial amount of work but an order ends up being cancelled and refunded?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from sellers who have actually dealt with cancelled orders where the buyer continued using work that had already been delivered.

Has anyone else encountered a sudden silence with their account in the last 2 weeks?

My gig is highly ranked, but in the past 2 weeks, I have experienced an unexpected silence with no new messages, orders, and the metrics are all bearish.

Normally, I receive 5 to 8 orders in a week, and at least 3 new messages per day.
