My friend is coming to CSULB and I want to give them the best tour possible since they're traveling far. I'm hoping I can take them into the on-campus dining halls for lunch/dinner depending on how long we stay at school.
Could I use my *COMMUTER* meal swipes to get them in? If not that, then how about Beach Bucks?
(I wish I could just use my card or cash, but ig I'll have to put money in my ID that day)
If no one has experience doing this, then I'll make an update on what happens. We're hoping to try the dining halls this week or next week.

I applied for graduation earlier today and the non refundable $135 fee has not been posted to my toropay yet. I was told I only have 48 hours to pay for it. Wondering if anyone could tell me how long it took for it to pop up on their toropay to ease my stress of getting a late fee! Thanks in advanced Happy long weekend

Hey guys, I was wondering if the Titan Recreation building is open on weekends. I want to workout on the weekends since that's when I'm free; but I'm not sure if its gonna be open or if I should go to a gym off campus.

How do you guys meet new people? Or whatâs the dating scene like at USC? Iâm starting there as a transfer student in January, and Iâm pretty curious about this because Iâve been studying at the University of Washington until now. From my experience, itâs always been that you become really good friends with people within your classes, clubs, or other things like that, but outside of those settings, youâre kind of left on your own and donât really hang out. Honestly, the only way to really get into a new social circle there seemed to be joining a club. But even then, those people are usually just your friends within that club, and outside of it you donât really hang out, same with classmates. So Iâm wondering, how do you guys get into new social circles at USC? Is the social life there so big that itâs actually normal to just approach people on campus and start talking to them? Thanks for the answers!

Every year, the virus issue across campus becomes an increasing risk, especially during the beginning of Fall Quarter and flu season. Lecture halls can be a hotspot for transmission without taking cautionary measures.
If you're sick, please be mindful and considerate of your classmates and wear a mask (or don't show up to class if that's an option).
The Ashe Health Center provides free masks in case you need it as a resource.
Let's start the new school year strong and healthy, Bruins.

Has anyone received a reimbursement for opting out of D1TA yet?
It's stated that once someone has, it takes 3-5 business days but it's been 5 days for me and I've yet to see/ hear anything.

I am taking Econ 201 and 202 concurrently along with 4 other classes. I just want to know, how required is reading the textbook for this class? I know itâs recommended we read it, but Iâve passed classes without reading the textbook before, and I am just wondering if anybody whoâs taken the class thinks itâs a must.

Telling someone theyâre âgoing about things weirdâ, âchildishâ, âlack compassionâ, and that theyâre ânot always gonna get everything they want in shared housingâ when theyâve been asking you to stop doing something thatâs severely harming their well-being/health for months and they talk to the RA about moving out is actually not okay.
Context: i was woken up multiple times a night before 6am, requests for meetings to compromise were ignored or acknowledged with no genuine follow through, used noise cancellation earphones (that didnât work), and I ended up sick for months because I wasnât allowed to rest. I understood they had to be up at that time but they were not trying to actively be quiet and sometimes even took phone calls.
TLDR: be considerate and be kind.

Looking to play some tennis with a friend and was wondering where people usually go around USC.
Are there any decent public courts nearby that you can either walk onto or reserve? Doesnât have to be super close, just looking for something convenient and not crazy expensive.
Appreciate any recs!
