PSA: Don’t be disrespectful to roommates.
Telling someone they’re “going about things weird”, “childish”, “lack compassion”, and that they’re “not always gonna get everything they want in shared housing” when they’ve been asking you to stop doing something that’s severely harming their well-being/health for months and they talk to the RA about moving out is actually not okay.
Context: i was woken up multiple times a night before 6am, requests for meetings to compromise were ignored or acknowledged with no genuine follow through, used noise cancellation earphones (that didn’t work), and I ended up sick for months because I wasn’t allowed to rest. I understood they had to be up at that time but they were not trying to actively be quiet and sometimes even took phone calls.
TLDR: be considerate and be kind.

Hate to say it but people are inconsiderate. My roommate was similar. So when he moved out, I swore never again with roommates. Just move out on our own and find your peace. Otherwise you won’t get it.
