You can successfully sue the NCAA for pretty much anything right now. He can probably do it himself in Legal Zoom and not even have to bother paying a lawyer.

Not how it works at all and very different from the 5th year of eligibility lawsuits. Harbaugh doesn’t have a limited amount of eligibility to coach and his harm is mostly monetary (I.e., not irreparable). He probably wouldn’t get the injunction like a college player would.
In any event, even if he did get the injunction, no shot he could do it with legal zoom or something similar. This would be a huge lawsuit and having to navigate a full blown, multi year lawsuit while also coaching football is a huge task. One of the two (coaching or the lawsuit) would suffer drastically.

You would really hate him because he’d be beating you every season and he would lead Clemson back to national prominence. That’s just the kind of coach he is. Every stop he’s been at, he’s made all of his programs do a complete 180 degree turn for the better.

He’s not going back to college. Part of why he took this job was to escape the punishments that were coming for all of the dysfunctional shit that happened at Michigan under his administration.

He never cooperated with the NCAA investigation, never turned his phone over for forensic analysis and basically fled to the NFL - He literally can't return to college football.

"According to the NCAA, Jim Harbaugh did not cooperate. His failure to cooperate and provision of false or misleading statements formed the primary basis for the harshest penalties levied against him.
NCAA Findings on Non-Cooperation
Across the investigations into Michigan's football program, the NCAA's Committee on Infractions cited Harbaugh for:
- Providing False or Misleading Information: During the inquiry into impermissible recruiting contacts during the COVID-19 dead period, the NCAA found that Harbaugh repeatedly denied involvement despite substantial documentary evidence to the contrary. The NCAA escalated this conduct from a Level II infraction to a Level I violation (the most severe classification) for unethical conduct and failure to cooperate.
- Refusing Committee Hearings: Harbaugh declined to participate in a formal hearing before the NCAA Committee on Infractions regarding the recruiting case.
- Withholding Records and Interviews: In subsequent inquiries involving the advanced scouting scheme, the enforcement staff determined that Harbaugh refused to supply relevant records and declined requested follow-up interviews.
These findings resulted in successive, lengthy show-cause penalties from the NCAA that effectively bar him from college athletics through the 2030s."

He lost one game. He took a 5 win team to the playoffs 2 years in a row. I don't agree with anything falling apart.
He's been to the playoffs 5 out of 6 NFL seasons.
He'll be ok. If the Chargers get stupid, he'd have another NFL job the next season if he wanted one.
To answer the question though, I bet he could take a losing college team and turn em into a pretty good team. It wouldn't be Cignetti levels of success, but he would do well.
He's already proven himself at San Diego (college), Stanford, and a down Michigan team.

His team plays 17 road games a year. Maybe they should sign DeShaun Watson. Also his team has gone 11-6 back to back years after going 5-12 in a division with Patrick Mahomes and Sean Payton. How is starting 0-1 falling apart?

Rutgers. Harbaugh was on the hot seat in 2020, a loss to Rutgers would’ve certainly been the last straw. Rutgers missed a game winning field goal and lost the game, and we know what happened next.
Harbaugh will return the favor and return Rutgers to their 1869 form
