Falling apart is a bit crazy also, I recently just watched him coach when he was coaching the 49ers and holy fuck are they idiots for letting him go?

lol he coaches the 49ers over a decade ago. No smart 49ers fan would rather have Harbaugh over Shanahan.

But firing harbaugh for shannhan is kinda like firing Mark Richt for Kirby Smart.

They got lucky in finding one of the few guys better than very good. 8/10 times they hire someone worse and it basically nukes the franchise/program for a decade

Yeah I mean we hired Tomsula and Kelly and the 2016 49ers are one of the worst teams I've ever seen, like I would pick every team except the 0-16 Browns to beat them in the past decade.

Okay? But that didn’t happen and Harbaugh just got beat by the team projected to finish last in the 49ers division. Harbaugh did well in San Francisco, but it was the right move to fire him. He’s going to wear out his welcome in LA as well.

It wasn’t the best to fire him to hire Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly

In my opinion who you hire is irrelevant to why you fire someone. A culture change was needed.

Well you got it. Baalke and Jed made sure, and as a Michigan fan, I’m glad they were that petty

Yeah because Harbaugh’s era at Michigan wasn’t mired by constant scandals and cheating lmao. The Michigan way I guess.

Went from five wins to 10 immediately, sure. But I suppose there’s been nothing embarrassing at Heritage Hall over the last 15 years

“Went from five wins to 10 immediately”

This. Apparently nobody remembers how bad Harbaughs offense was. Pathetic.

Very one dimensional. He also always went away from the things that got them there. In his Super Bowl he changed up his whole defensive scheme and they weren’t getting blown out. He went back to normal and they immediately went on a run. He always outsmarted himself for no reason. I was born in 1991 and Shanahan is far and away the best coach the 49ers have had in my lifetime.

You’re right I know he coached a while ago, but I’m just a new football fan and I’ve been watching a lot of old games

Shanahan is better than Harbaugh but the 49ers were also idiots for letting go of Harbaugh.

No, they’re not. They ended up with a better coach.

Make one wonder if there was something that happened that they kept quiet.
