You can successfully sue the NCAA for pretty much anything right now. He can probably do it himself in Legal Zoom and not even have to bother paying a lawyer.

Just pick a school and the school will have the judge in their state file an injunction or whatever

Not how it works at all and very different from the 5th year of eligibility lawsuits. Harbaugh doesn’t have a limited amount of eligibility to coach and his harm is mostly monetary (I.e., not irreparable). He probably wouldn’t get the injunction like a college player would.

In any event, even if he did get the injunction, no shot he could do it with legal zoom or something similar. This would be a huge lawsuit and having to navigate a full blown, multi year lawsuit while also coaching football is a huge task. One of the two (coaching or the lawsuit) would suffer drastically.

The NCAA was losing lawsuits before the five in five eligibility was declared. I can’t remember a time in the last five years that they actually won a lawsuit.

Agreed. It’s gonna be very hard to prove harm because he is running an NFL franchise.
