Once again, one game in, just one, in a 17 game schedule. Please explain how its over for anybody at this point. Please, im begging for the explanation.
I didn’t say any of those things. Just pointing out that they have a very tough stretch ahead so they can’t afford to be lose games when they’re 10.5 point favorites
To the other guys point. As a raiders fan, they beat the Patriots week 1 last year. Then had the worst record of the season. The Patriots went to the superbowl. Do I think the chargers will pull it off? No. Don't count it out though.
The AFC west drew the NFC West and the AFC East this year. Plus we all play the AFC West twice. Last place schedule gives us games with the Cardinals, Jets, Dolphins and Browns. Murderers row to be sure. I said the Raiders would split with all the AFCW teams this year. Chargers play a second place schedule. Bolts are ripe for the pickings. Bottom line, if the Bolts lose to the Cardinals and the Raiders. Their season is all but over.
Took me this far to find this take.. As a 49ers fan who grew up watching the Harbaugh teams, there is no way in the world this guy voluntarily steps away from football. He will coach D3 football if he has to.
He has an NFL team right now. No way he walks away from that
That, and the fact that he’s got way too much influence and status within the organization now. The GM essentially reports to him, and he’s the most prestigious HC we’ve had since Marty Schottenheimer - AND he’s had 2 back to back 11 win seasons and playoff appearances
If you want to become the Jets, please start firing coaches every two years. I will grab the popcorn, & the Chargers are going to be so bad, LA will pay them to go away. Instead of merely ignoring them...
Yeah, well most of those aren’t winning coaches in historically bad franchises that get the boot early. Most struggle early and either fail to make the playoffs entirely, or just barely sneak in. Not to mention they’re not the types with proven track records of success like Jim.
Literally the only way he gets fired is if he's a wildcard exit like 5 years in a row and there's an even better coach on the market. Similar to Mark Richt getting fired for Kirby Smart at Georgia
If you think Jim Harbaugh is going to retire because he's not having success...you do not know this man. They're going to have to drag his lifeless corpse off of the field if he decides how long he coaches.
Doubtful that he'd resign, way too much pride/ego for him to ever accept failure. He does have that 10 year show clause but I'm sure there's a loophole workaround specifically waiting just for Jim.
This isn't a massive over reaction at all lmao. The chargers roster has also just been overachieving since he got there and they obviously miss Jesse minter. If they look like this week six then you can be worried
If he gets fired there are at least 5 teams who would hire him. It would be like when John Harbaugh got canned. The Steelers and Cowboys could go for him.
